Discussion/আলোচনা Bangladesh is not facing a Fundamentalist threat
However, some of you take every chance to push the narrative that Bangladesh has turned into some caliphate. Yes, there were fears of it before the election. Many of us were concerned that Jamaat and its far-right allies might actually take parliament. But look what happened during the election: they barely got 1/3. Given how they are handling their small corner of power, they won't even get half of that in the next election. Everytime some hojor says something stoopid or does something straight up evil, there is outcry from every sector of our country. The mainstream is not at all for them. People ridicule them openly, to the point where it's common to call them out on their strange homo erotic misadventures. Yes, they thought they achieved some power post Aug, hence all the bs with girls football matches and the horrific attacks on shrine and temples. But even then most of us called them out on it. Aren't all of us on reddit atleast smart enough to understand that these are just the crazies? that they operate on the fringes and are not representative of the mainstream?
Some of these doomers are just secret awamis. Every point they make, every story they spin is to get you to say ' Agei chalo Chilam '. They will say shit like eder jonne Apai bhalo chilo. NO. Thats now how a democracy works. Apa killed innocents along with the crazies, and just having medieval beliefs doesn't qualify someone to be jailed or worse. They actually need to commit the crime before they can be arrested and punished. Every POS hojor has been arrested this year, for every crime they committed. They are not running this country, they are simply our problem demo, just like awamis.
