So, after the MP1st article showing some of their findings that corresponds with mine, I believe I may have found another member of the SH1 Remake.

However, this one is a little iffier, but it's always fun to speculate. As always, take it with a grain of salt.

Silent Hill 2: RECREATIONS is a project made on

Fortnite Creative/UEFN to bring in as many locations from the game as possible into a Fortnite Creative map. This is not a recreation of the entire game; it is purely a passion project that can be explored and used for hangouts.

Meeting him was such a surreal experience! Since I was traveling to Japan and I enjoy collecting autographs, I decided to message him, and to my surprise, he agreed! I didn’t want to come empty-handed, so I bought him a Robbie the Rabbit jacket from my local Hot Topic that he had wanted, plus a few other goodies! Meeting Usagi in person was truly one of the highlights of my Japan trip. We talked for a while, primarily through translation apps. He was very sweet and kind, and he even surprised me with some gifts from his Zombie Bunny line and a little Robbie :). I'll cherish these gifts and autographs in my collection!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share the custom Steam library setup I put together for Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition.

Since it’s a non-Steam game, the default blank page looked pretty depressing. I spent a few minutes hunting down clean community assets, matching up the transparent logo, and setting up the hero background of James looking into the mirror.

I think the final layout looks incredibly clean and fits the atmosphere perfectly. Let me know what you think!

Each section will prioritize the native PC experience, but will also list the recommended emulator and basic settings to run it optimally. If no native PC experience yet exists, the emulator instructions will be more detailed.

[NOTE ON PLAY ORDER]

All SILENT HILL titles can be played in any order.

The series is an anthology series with independent stories. Playing the titles chronologically may include references to past titles and Easter eggs to reward long time players, but are not essential for the experience.

The only caveat is that SILENT HILL 3, SILENT HILL ORIGINS/SILENT HILL ZERO, and SILENT HILL: SHATTERED MEMORIES all have some relationship to the original SILENT HILL (1999).

SILENT HILL (1999) can still be safely played after these titles, but it is still highly recommended to play SILENT HILL (1999) first.

3. Extract archive.
4. Obtain a PS1 .bin file of SILENT HILL
5. Move your SILENT HILL .bin file into the gamedata folder.
6. Run SilentHillPC_Launcher.exe
   • Download updates by clicking button that says Update available! or Check for Updates
   • If a new update is available, new window will pop up. Follow the prompts.
   • Close and reopen SilentHillPC_Launcher.exe to apply the updates.
7. Edit settings to your preference.
8. Click Play to start the game.
9. Play the game!

   • Extract files.
   • Open prereqs folder.
   • Run Setup.exe to install Reloaded-II mod injector.
   • Reloaded-II will install to your desktop. You may move it anywhere you like.
   • Go back to the Silent Hill 3 Audio Enhancement Pack extracted files.
   • Copy the Mods folder.
   • Navigate to the folder Reloaded-II installation folder.
   • Paste the Mods folder.
     • This folder should be called "Reloaded-II" by default and contain the folders:Assets, en, Loader, runtimes, Theme.
5. Run Reloaded-II.exe
   • Allow it to update if necessary.
   • In Reloaded-II, go to the + sign on the left that says "Add an Application"
     • This will open a new window.
   • Navigate to and select SH3.exe in your game files.
   • In SILENT HILL 3's game profile, you should see three mods installed:
     • AFS Emulator for File Emulation Framework
     • File Emulation Framework: Base Mod
     • Silent Hill 3 Audio Enhancement Pack
   • Make sure Silent Hill 3 Audio Enhancement Pack is ON indicated by a red + sign.
   • On the left, under "Actions", select "Create Shortcut".
   • The shortcut will be placed on your desktop by default.
6. Run SILENT HILL 3(Reloaded) to play the game with the Audio Enhancement Pack applied.
7. Play the game!

OPTIONAL:

1. Enable DirectX12 mode for possible frame rate stability and Reshade compatibility:
   • Open Silent_Hill_3_PC_Fix.ini found in the SILENT HILL 3 game files.
   • Scroll to the bottom of the text file.
   • Change UseDirectX12 = 0 to UseDirectX12 = 1
   • Save changes and exit.

   • Navigate to the text that says: # Modify the blur effect, leaving these at 0 is recommended.
   • Do not leave at 0 and replace with posted default values.

   • Download SH4 16:9 FMV pac.7z
   • Extract and move to SILENT HILL 4: THE ROOM install folder. Agree to overwrite files.

SILENT HILL ORIGINS / SILENT HILL ZERO (Climax Studios, 2007)

1. Obtain an .iso file of the PS2 version of SILENT HILL ORIGINS
2. Download and install the latest stable build of PCSX2.
3. Download cheat file (.pnach) for 60fps, Noise Filter toggle, Progressive Scan, and Infinite Stamina.
   • Place SLUS-21731_A8D83239.pnach in Documents/PCSX2/cheats In PCSX2, right-click Silent Hill Origins. Select "Properties", go to "Cheats" tab on the left, tick features as desired.
4. To enable widescreen, in PCSX2, go to Settings --> Graphics
   • In the Display tab, Aspect Ratio section, select "Widescreen (16:9)"
   • In-game, SHO will prompt you to select standard or widescreen. Select widescreen.
5. Play the game!

SILENT HILL: HOMECOMING (Double Helix Games, 2008)

^{Originally released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.}

1. Buy from Steam!
2. Download UnknownProject's 3.10 All-in-One Patch.
3. Run 3.10AIO installer.
   • When prompted, select Portable Mode. After installing, untick all launch options and closer installer.
4. Download UnknownProject's 3.50 beta update.
   • Extract BUILD2295.zip
   • Rename "Bin_test" to "Bin" Copy "Bin" and "Engine" folders to Silent Hill Homecoming root directory. Allow to overwrite files.
5. Go to Silent Hill Homecoming/Engine/vars_PC.cfgOpen in Notepad.
   • Edit to "Fullscreen=false"
6. Launch game.
7. Go to Options
   • In Audio, turn music on In Graphics, set resolution to your display resolution
   • If using a controller, select Controls --> Use Controller to enable. (Steam Input must be enabled.)
8. Play the game!

SILENT HILL: SHATTERED MEMORIES (Climax Studios, 2009)

^{Originally released for Nintendo Wii.
Diminished ports on PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable.}

1. Acquire an .iso file for SILENT HILL: SHATTERED MEMORIES for Wii.
2. Download the latest stable build of Dolphin.
3. Download control config for Mouse and Keyboard.Download Silent Hill - Shattered Memories.ini
   • Place in Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Config/Profiles/Wiimote
4. In Dolphin, go to Config --> Controllers --> Wii Remote 1 (Emulated Wii Remote)
   • Tick "Enable Speaker Data" to hear in-game phone calls.
   • Go to Configure --> Profile. On the drop down tab, select "Silent Hill - Shattered Memories" Click "Load"
5. Play the game!

6. Navigate to and select an Xbox 360 .iso of SILENT HILL: DOWNPOUR.
   • I cannot help you acquire the .iso game file.
7. When finished, DownpourRecomp will prompt you to download the official game update from Microsoft's public servers.
   • Select Download (1.7 MB)
8. Play the game!
