Hi everyone,

I'm trying to preserve Marvel Mighty Heroes, the 4-player co-op brawler by DeNA that shut down in 2016. I still have the APKs (1.0.9 and 2.0.11), but they only contain the UI, music and animations. All hero models, textures and levels were downloaded from Mobage's servers after install, and those servers are gone. As far as I can tell, nobody archived them.

So the only remaining copies are most likely on old phones or tablets where the game was played back then and never uninstalled.

If you have such a device lying around in a drawer:

- Please DON'T open the game, clear its data or uninstall it.

- Put it in airplane mode.

- Check if this folder exists: Android/data/com.dena.west.MarvelArena/

If it's there, the easiest way to copy it is via ADB on a PC:

adb pull /sdcard/Android/data/com.dena.west.MarvelArena/ mmh_cache

If the folder is empty or missing, an app backup might still work:

adb backup -f mmh.ab -noapk com.dena.west.MarvelArena

I'm happy to walk anyone through it step by step. This is a non-commercial preservation project. I just want to bring back a game I really loved, and of course I'll share anything recovered with the preservation community.

Any leads are appreciated: old Wayback Machine captures of files.mobage.com/files/marvel/, other preservation projects, or people who might still have it.

I used to looove this game growing up and I'm looking to get into it again and join this awesome community!

However, I am trapped on a MacBook as far as my gaming options go and can't quite figure out how to get it going in 2026.

Is it possible? Am I missing something? For reference: I did lose access to my original steam account with the game on it, as AFAIK macs are moving away from "intel based apps" (whatever that means) and IDK if that will make it impossible to run.

suggest me characters that require least amount of wasd'ing and longest ability cooldowns. give me a top 5. thanks. i don't care about ttk or stuff like that. i am just looking for very easy to play characters that will stress the hands the least. it even can be a meme one trick pony character or a basic attack spammer?

this kind of thing often makes one think ranged basic attacker but i guess a face tanker with full def, def based abilities type of thing might work too? idk.

I started playing Marvel Heroes almost immediately when it came out and played up to the day before it was shut down. I was so sad that not only was a great game gone, that the community would go as well...

And now the game is back! I finally made the time to install it and I literally started to tear up when I saw The Watcher appear for the opening cinematic.

Yes, my old account is gone as well as all the conversations on the Forum. We can see snippets, but can't add to them over there anymore.

Now, the game has been revived and this little post can't express just how much it means to me to see it back.

I am fairly new to this game so i apologize if this has been asked many times before but i cannot finish chapter 10, is this normal? I reach the fight against skrull Nick Fury and the server kicks me out everytime.

Thrilled to be back in Marel heroes! I sank a lot of time into this back in the day and I'm having a blast revisiting it.

I've tried the Tahiti server and more recently CoA. CoA is a bit more fast paced than I'd like (I feel like everything is just being handed to me) but a good way to experiment with heroes I didn't play before. But I don't seem to be getting any splinter drops, at all. After a few hours I have only the ones I got when I first logged in.

Do they drop at the normal rate and I just haven't seen them yet? Or is something bugged?

I also noticed the bundles in the store don't have any information -- I assume that's being worked on (I saw store improvements on the radmap), but does anyone know what's in the bundles?
