Discussion Doctor's Orders - The Walking Revive Beacon - How It Works
This is a very interesting weapon when you see everything it interacts with. It drops from Eviction Notice. Its unique effect is "Attacks against weak points have a 30% chance to reset a revive effect cooldown".
So what does this mean? It means that it will reset the cooldown on the following:
- Power Armor Reboot - Even if you have it as 1 star (10min cooldown), doctors orders will reset it
- Life Saving 1 Star Mod - Revives you with a stimpak. CD is 5 minutes, reduced another 60 seconds per each armor with the 1 star. Doctors orders will reset this, again even if its on a 5 min cooldown
- EMT - Revives nearby allied teammates once every 3 minutes, grants them increased healing for 1 minute. NOTE: EMT WORKS when you revive yourself with the above mods. So you DO get the increased healing when you revive yourself.
Now all these "revive" effects have other interactions that you can then chain them to
- Healing Hands - When the above 3 trigger, you get healed to full instantly
- Injector - Again when above 3 revive effects trigger, you get +18 AP regen for 1 minute
- Revenant - When reviving, get 25% more damage for 2 mins
- Quack Surgeon - When you trigger any of the 3 revive effects, it will use alcohol instead of a stimpak. When quack surgeon triggers, the person who gets revived will gain the benefits of the alcohol that is used. So if you revive someone with Bourbon, they get +1 END +1 STR and -1 INT while its active. But as far as I'm aware, you dont get drunk or addicted.
In short, this weapon allows you to have insane uptime of automatic revive effects (on yourself or allies) while also allowing you to gain the benefits of the perks that give special effects when a person is revived. So you can apply things like Injector and Revenant to yourself.
Also, extra note - Mysterious Savior can also trigger things like Healing Hands/Injector/Revenant. It doesn't have any interaction with Doctors Orders since there is no cooldown. But wanted to mention it since its sorta in the same vein.
