Politics 17 states in EU issued warnings to their people to gather goods and cash for three months in fear of escalation of events including war
With Nato and other European countries preparing their armies and fears of escalation with Russia growing, I wonder what this could mean for us in Cyprus—Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots alike. we’ll probably still be cooking souvla in the fields.(sarcastic)What are your thoughts?
Military preparations don’t necessarily mean war is coming, and Putin’s assurances don’t remove the risk. Even without fighting reaching our island, a sharp rise in oil prices could mean more expensive petrol, electricity, groceries and flights, while insecurity could hurt buisnesses and disruption to supplies or shipping could push prices higher.
