What’s with all these Greeks, with Greek phone numbers and Greek Revolt accounts begging up and down the beach in Larnaca?

Hi everyone, I'm a high school student doing a school research project on the Cyprus issue, looking at how people from different communities see sovereignty, security, and the role of the UN.
I made a short anonymous survey (about 2 minutes):
- 18+ only
- No names or emails are collected
- All views are welcome from all Cypriot communities

This would greatly help my research project, and thank you so much for your time:) Results are only used for my project, and I'm happy to share a short summary here afterwards if anyone would like to see it!

Hey everyone!
I am looking for firewood for fireplace during the winder, I’ve heard that you can go to special places that are being deforested, pay like 20€ and cut your own wood, is that true?
I know you can get on Bazaraki/Facebook, but from my experience the wood is not the best and some people charge ridiculous prices. But if there is someone around Paphos that is good, a contact would be much appreciated!

With Nato and other European countries preparing their armies and fears of escalation with Russia growing, I wonder what this could mean for us in Cyprus—Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots alike. we’ll probably still be cooking souvla in the fields.(sarcastic)What are your thoughts?
Military preparations don’t necessarily mean war is coming, and Putin’s assurances don’t remove the risk. Even without fighting reaching our island, a sharp rise in oil prices could mean more expensive petrol, electricity, groceries and flights, while insecurity could hurt buisnesses and disruption to supplies or shipping could push prices higher.

I ordered a package more than 2 weeks ago, however it's been stuck at IPZ for weeks. Is this normal? Last time it sat for a few days only. Is it due to a lack of cargo capacity to cyprus? Will it arrive by ship? The email said it would arrive within 10 to 14 business days.

I built run-cy.com, a free map of races, trail runs and weekly group runs on the island. It's becoming an Android app and Google needs 12 testers for 2 weeks. If you're on Android, join here and I'll send the install link:
