It is a really welcome and positive step up from his previous versions with the visible texture, raised webbing, and a more handcrafted appearance. CGI will obviously still play a major role in Spider-Man’s action sequences, but seeing more of the actual costume captured on camera gives the new suit a more tangible quality which is truly a breath of fresh air given some of the recent overly designed and bland outfits in the superhero genre lately.

I’ve always thought that Peter with the black suit should be massively superior to Venom since Peter is a superhuman with the amp of the suit while Eddie is just a guy. Sometimes a beefy guy, but a guy nonetheless.

But apparently not. Apparently a symbiote-amped Peter still struggles about as much against Venom as he usually would. Why does the black suit give Eddie a bigger boost than Peter?

And yes, I know this all heavily depends on continuity and which universe I’m looking at, but I’m just looking for some kind of answer in any of them.

The game is fun but has many issues. My favorite thing is that you can go to meet Stan. That is the reason I will boot up the game every year at least once. I want to visit Comic Stand. You can walk around and view collectables too.

Did doom just undo one more day?

The open-matte means you see the whole square film frame. It can sometimes show things like boom mics, and CGI shots are still only wide-screen, but for many shots it looks genuinely so much better.

And in case you're like me: no, it did not show his whole mask in the theatrical version. I was also surprised when I watched it again to compare. The cropped version feels so wrong to me now.

The fight in general was drawn so awesome in this issue! Especially that move when Spidey grabbed him and flung him from above onto the ground with his webs, 10/10. Also when he grabbed him by the neck with his legs while swinging.

Just imagine if a studio that animates anime were to work on Spider-Man vs. Ravage. I already thought the second round against Hellgate was really cool with the dimensional cuts, but this issue here is just an unbelievably cool fight. The way Peter teases and threatens Cormac is just the Peter we love!

The process was by Sublimation, I made the art by myself using the game Photo Mode to take the references for lighting, texture and colors.

I know the game has brighter, flatter colors and less contrast but I wanted to add that by myself because I like high contrasts.
