Gemini 4.0 carbon is the best model in the world according to artificial analysis intelligence index

sources close to the matter (a loading spinner that spun slightly faster than usual) confirm the checkpoint is imminent. leaked benchmarks show it beat the previous flash by four tenths of a point and challenged a competitor model to a knife fight in the artificial analysis parking lot. changelog reads improvements and fixes. preview access is rolling out to seven people, none of whom are you. a new variant called flash lite nano mini ships the same night to guarantee maximum confusion. pro subscribers will receive a heartfelt email about all of this and access to none of it. stay strong. we release at dawn.

40 relatives, 3 generations, one surprise, and grandma had no idea.
i had 3 weeks and a big messy family. gemini did a lot of the boring work:
- turned my rambling notes into a timeline and a task list for 8 cousins
- drafted the group messages in english and in spanish for the older relatives
- planned a menu around 4 diffrent diets, including my uncle who "doesnt eat green"
- helped me write questions for a little interview with her old friends
the centerpiece was a 2 minute video. real interview clips, and photos from her wedding in 1956 that i animated on dreamina so they move a little. that's the part where she lost it.
best use of ai i've had so far

I think that Google only gave us Argon because they were way way past their "Gemini 3.5 pro" release date and the other companies were releasing brand new model to attract google customers base.
But because this model cost an arm and a leg to run, they gave us, poor limit, 3 prompt per 5 hours for pro subscribers, to reduce the bleeding in their finance until they can ship an Argon 4 Flash
What do you think?

Having used and seen actual results, there is no place in earth that where Terra is Better than Argon.
Can't even say it is benchmaxxed since it's a new method. Perhaps it just became biased to save Open AI and Anthropic IPO while that AI bubble starts to burst in China, this can not be real.
Also, Kimi K3.1 Pro can't be that much behind.

Yes, it says "Resets in 19h." That's because I sent one message to GPT-OSS earlier this week when I accidentally selected it, which only drained 1% tho. The Opus limits are ABYSMAL...

I kept flipping between the two for actual day job coding and wrote down impressions as I went. Claude still feels a touch more reliable when I hand it a messy existing codebase and say fix this without breaking that. Gemini wins for me on big context dumps, I can throw a lot more at it and it keeps up. Neither one nails the almost right but not quite problem, I still spend real time reviewing both. Honestly the gap between them is small enough now that I pick based on which tab is already open. Anyone found a task where one clearly beats the other?

I genuinely just opened reddit and saw two posts about the same model. Can't wait to see how many more pop up lmao

Everyone knows that the free version of Gemini was recently nerfed. And I started noticing something strange... I get the feeling that "some unknown and outdated" Gemini model built into Google Search... is now smarter than "Auto Gemini 3.5" in Gemini itself. The model built into Search tends to give longer, more detailed answers, reasons more logically, and knows more facts(i mean, internal knowledge without triggering web search). Basically, if you need to quickly do some tasks and don't want to keep a chat history...as strange as it may sound...it's now more logical to use Google Search with AI mode.

I asked 2 questions with Argon at High thinking and I'm rate limited. It'd be fine if I could just bounce back to 3.8 but we're stuck with 3.5 flash-lite which feels like the stone age. Luckily I don't pay that much for my Pro membership because of some discounts but Argon is genuinely usuable with how stingy they are.
Edit: I made a mistake upon checking I asked 3 questions not 2 ๐
