So I have three key fobs on me essentially at all times. One is for the front door to my building, one to my actual front door, and one is for my work. It's not totally unmanageable, but it does just feel like a lot of loose items floating around in my pocket sometimes. I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue and found a solution more clever than just sticking them all on a key ring.

I'm not really sure what this would look like, but I'm imagining some kind of multitool platform that they can be mounted on or some kind of tech solution that combines multiple tags into one.

Even has a lock on it so nobody else can get to my stuff, just in case.

I do some freelance IT work for a school so I need some advice/suggestions on a bladeless multi-tool or pocket friendly tool system.

This is all the crap I carry on me at work, so more of a Most Day Carry. Some paramedics carry nothing, some go full Batman belt of accessories, I like to think this is a happy medium. It can be a chaotic job, and I learned early on that if I don't have a spot for everything, I will lose it.

• Stethoscope - Littman Cardiology IV. Absolute overkill, but a nice gift so I'm not complaining. Lives on my belt as I don't want to damage it stuffing it into my pocket. Worked with plenty of medics who "only take their stethoscope into a call if they'll need it". This is bullshit, they borrow mine.
• IV supplies - Tegaderm, gauze, flush, tape, stabby thing for stray sharps. I keep most IV stuff in a dedicated pouch that I attach to the monitor; the pocket supplies are just spares that I don't want to be rummaging around for when my hands are full and there's blood on everything (oops).
• Emesis (vomit) bag - When a patient turns green you don't want to be reaching over them to grab a bag. I keep this one in my pocket, plus one in the monitor, one in the stretcher, and one tucked into one of the seats. I really don't like wiping chunks off the stretcher.
• Flashlights (Wuben G5/Fenix E09R) - The Wuben is a nice little swivel-head I can clip to my shirt/epaulette, the Fenix has more range. I carry both because they're cute and tiny and I've usually forgotten to charge one of them.
• Knife (Kizer C01C Mini) - Handy to have, rarely used. Very compact, I keep it clipped on the inside of my trousers (don't want patients getting grabby) and don't even know it's there.
• Pen (Zebra Z-Grip. Black) - Found this one about 4 months ago and we're still together, so you could say it's getting pretty serious. Thanks go to whichever medic abandoned it on my truck.
• Trauma shears - Bought a few for like $4/ea as I don't trust the service-provided ones, no-one ever throws them out and they're as sharp as kids' craft scissors. There's a notch in the handle for opening the O2 tank valve, handy when the wrench has grown legs at the worst possible time.
• Tourniquet (SOF Gen4) - Packaging removed, sized up, ready to go. Extremely rarely used, but not something you want to be fumbling for if you need it. Sharpie for writing time of application, also used for marking pulse points. Any excuse to draw on a patient.
• Belt - Clips for radio and keys. Quick release mechanism allows for tactical pissing, shaving valuable seconds off toilet-related downtime.

Nitecore EDC23 finish after just two days with keys

My EDC23 already has visible scuffs and discoloration after just two days in a pocket with my keys. I tried wiping it with alcohol, but the marks won’t come off.

For comparison, the TINI 2 in the photos is three years old and has been used heavily. Its finish started wearing almost immediately, and this is how it looks now. I bought the TIP SE at the same time. It’s had a somewhat easier life, but its finish has held up much better.

I really like the EDC23’s form factor and was planning to get an EDC29 next. Then I checked the reviews on Nitecore Store and found a verified buyer reporting that the green coating was coming off the edges in under a month. I’ve included screenshots of that review alongside my photos.

I’m not buying the EDC29 now. This finish durability is a dealbreaker for me.

Scratches are expected when carrying a light with keys, but this much wear in two days is pretty disappointing. Anyone else seeing this on their EDC23 or EDC29?
