I was working on a healthcare website rebranding project a while ago..
Client wanted the exact same website under a different brand.
Same design, animations, functionality..everything.
Sounds easy, right?
Well..the website had a multi-step medical questionnaire with conditional logic, validation, and product recommendations.
And here's the interesting part..
The client wanted the entire frontend experience preserved, but the existing backend and payment integrations disconnected.
So users should still be able to complete the questionnaire and navigate through the treatment and checkout screens..
But no actual payments or API submissions should happen.
Had to preserve the existing logic, replace dozens of externally hosted assets, update the branding, and fix a few mobile scrolling issues without breaking the flow.
And I think that's what makes these projects tricky..
You're not building something new. You're figuring out someone else's code while trying not to break what's already working.
One thing I'd suggest to agencies outsourcing rebranding projects..
Clearly define what should remain functional, what needs changing, and what should be disconnected.
Because a simple rebrand can become a pretty complicated development project.
Anyone here dealt with something similar?
