Anyone selling Herman Miller chairs at the coast
Hello,
I am looking to buy a Herman Miller chair but can only find shops in Brisbane. Are there any local dealers or companies selling their old stock here at the coast?
Thank you.

Not quite sure how to meet people….
31f. Mooloolaba. Just moved here a couple of weeks ago, living alone, and don’t plan to work until the new year.
The (very vague) plan was to spend my first couple of months here meeting people and finding community - but how does one do that without housemates or a job, as an initial base?
There doesn’t seem to be all too many hobby groups available (not a runner or gym girl) - and a lot of the more interesting gatherings / events seem to be more inland, impossible to access via public transport (I don’t drive!).
I welcome friendships of all different kinds and I’m open minded in terms of things to do.
Any advice welcome!

Any idea what is wrapped around the bird's beak?
I was hoping the poor creature will let me help it to get rid of this stuff, but it flew away.

Pychic Medium - sunshine coast
Hi,
I'm looking to connect with a Pychic Medium/energetic healer located on the sunshine coast with appointments available this week.
I've recently been through an ectopic pregnancy resulting in surgical fallopian tube removal and want to connect to my spirit baby, and address childhood trauma that's shaped the person I've become. Feeling very lost and emotional and want to connect with someone who may offer some guidance, understanding and healing and I feel this could traverse past lives I've lived too.
Please reach out if you feel you could help me on this journey, thanks

Where is the best place to look to find rental properties or short/medium stay options.
Potentially heading into separation or worse and will need a place to stay (just for myself). Fully furnished and self contained is a must. Just looking for advice on the best places to look. I would prefer something through proper channels but open to suggestions. I would prefer to not share with anyone else if I can help it as I can't imagine I will be good company based in the above listed context.
Cheers.

Local Rubbish Tips
So I go to the tip about once a month. Three trips ago I am chatting to one of the guys that work there, we had both seen a trailer pull up, the green waste was tipped out and the owner was on his was quick smart. I joked that seemed like he was “cheating” as I was there 20 minutes unloading.
The worker man then said he has a regular that comes, has straps around his load, ties that off to one of the boulders there and it all gets pulled out nice a quickly / low effort.
2 trips ago I was at the tip and tried this, worked so well I was wondering why more people did not try this method.
Then came today’s effort, about to tie off to a boulder and the worker boys yell out that I am not allowed to do this. I explained that it was suggested I do this on a previous visit. They said they were the person in charge and it was going to be a no. I said “ok” and packed up my straps. I think they had a change of heart as it was raining but I just unloaded by hand as rules are rules.
Just wondering why they would not want this encourage something like this as long as you had decent straps. Pull my load out nice and neat into the one spot when I did it.

Has anyone here had to manage an ageing parent on the Sunshine Coast from interstate?
I’ve recently started a small service on the Sunshine Coast after noticing how hard it can be for adult children to manage Mum or Dad from interstate.
The idea is basically to be the familiar local person who can step in for the everyday things family would normally handle, while getting to know the parent properly rather than being part of a rotating roster.
I’m curious whether anyone here has been in that position with a parent on the Coast, and what were the things you found hardest to manage from afar?

Any ‘tobacconist’ on the coast that are still operating/selling their usual stuff?
Sorry, hate to use this as a place to ask but where I usually go to has temporarily shutdown. If you can help I’d really REALLY appreciate it ☺️💕
EDIT: No need to reply, I’m gonna at least try and quit. Feel like this is the sign!

SSC Parents: what kind of help do you wish was easier to find?
I've been thinking about how difficult it can be to juggle parenting, work, household chores and everything else life throws at you. I would like to create a site / app centred around finding your village.
What if there were one place where parents could find practical help - babysitters, cleaners, laundry services, meal preparation, school pickups and other household support - as well as connect with other parents?
I'm curious about the real-life problems, though, rather than just whether the idea sounds good.
A few questions:
- What's the hardest kind of help to find when you need it?
- Have you ever wanted to book help but given up because it was too expensive, difficult to organise, or hard to know who to trust?
- Do you currently use any apps or websites for this? What do they get right or wrong?
- Would having several types of family support in one place actually be useful, or would you prefer separate specialist services?
I'm exploring the idea at an early stage and would love to hear honest experiences - including reasons it wouldn't work for you.
Any comments will be helpful :)
Thanks in advance.
