Glitch A casual Metal Gear Solid player by the name of boba_witch just glitched through the door in Comms Tower A by accident. The community has replicated it and every category has just saved 2 and half minutes! 23-year-old game, still being broken!
Original Tweet and video by boba_witch: https://twitter.com/boba_witch/status/1426896049730465793
This is absolutely insane. After 23 years of this game being released, we are now able to glitch through the frozen Lv6 door halfway up communications tower A. This skips the second half of the tower climb and the rappel back down the side of the building. Roughly 2 and a half minutes saved.
What appears to happen is that when Snake is hit, his hitbox gets bigger for a very duration, By standing in the right spot and aiming the SOCOM at the guard who is shooting, Snake's hitbox manages to hit the area loading trigger on the other side of the door, loading Snake into the next room.
Currently, only this version of the trick has been replicated. The SOCOM is the only weapon that has been successfully used*, and this is the only door that has been tested**. The community is currently testing more possibilities. But this is an incredible discovery and paves the way for some very significant milestones. At the shortest end, PC Any% Very Easy, currently the fastest category, can now be done in under 30 minutes.
EDIT 1: *Various forms of damage and weapons have been verified, including being punched through whilst unarmed and having a Chaff grenade explode in Snake's hand, which if can be reproduced as consistently as the SOCOM version, would likely be the ideal choice.
EDIT 2: A fairly consistent Chaff Version has now been found, which is far more ideal for Any% as we normally don't pick up the SOCOM in Any%
EDIT 3: In honour of its founder, the community has now started referring to it as the "Boba Skip"
EDIT 4: ApacheSmash's tweet showing the Chaff version, pleased to say I can pull this off myself now as well: https://twitter.com/ApacheSmash/status/1427001314093981696
EDIT 5: Video of the Any% Very Easy PC run I just completed. New World Record and the first-ever sub-30 minute run of Metal Gear Solid: https://youtu.be/9h9DJyL2S8M
EDIT 6: **Other doors have been tested and so far none have been able to reproduce the effect. I've personally spent some time trying to get into the Medi-Room and Ocelot's boss room with no success. It's very likely the loading trigger in Tower A is much closer to the door than others, hence why it works here but not anywhere else yet.
EDIT 7: What a day! This has blown up beyond anything I'd first imagined. Boba, who I didn't realize at first was Boba of Yogscast, has been streaming on the Yogscast Twitch channel this afternoon, talking about this story. ApacheSmash's Tweets, Jaguar King's live stream (in which he got the PC Any% Extreme World Record) and this Reddit post all got featured. If you're interested, the VOD is here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1119293639. This post also got shared on the Yogscast Subreddit and at time of writing has 640 upvotes: https://www.reddit.com/r/Yogscast/comments/p50brr/congrats_boba/
There's almost certainly going to be more records to come and I'm planning on doing a video to document everything that went down, so I'll be sure to share that here when it happens! This has been an incredible evening!
EDIT 8: Several gaming news sites have now picked up on the story, including PC Gamer and Eurogamer, the latter of which also linked my Very Easy World Record!

Glitch I accidentally found yet another Game-Changing NEW TECH for Disney's Atlantis (PS1) Speedruns... (An "info dump" about Ladder Clipping)
youtu.beAs the video itself states, this is supposed to be more just an "info dump" of sorts shortly after discovering this, rather than a properly scripted or otherwise "organized" video, so it might get a little rambly at times - even after cropping out like 20 minutes of it - but I figured that I'd rather there be an overabundance of info than not enough of it, so if nothing else, hopefully people can at least find it to be a somewhat interesting background noise 😅

Glitch Question about OoT NSO edition
is there any way for me to fix the jittering after doing deku stick on b? I’m trying to get bottle on b, but I first have to have the deku stic, which breaks the game on nintendo switch, I already loaded Pokémon stadium 2 so I can move around without crashing, but it’s still horribly glitchy even after destroying all of my deku sticks. so I’m asking if there is any way to remove the jitter or a better way to do bottle on b?

Glitch Constantine glitch
youtu.beDiscovered new glitch. Should work on all platforms but this was done on the PS2 version.
Going into shield spell during door animation causes it to slowly get off its cycle during the slo mo and allows us to keep doors ajar that would normally close and be locked for encounters. These are the only examples so far but you can also get the door to push John up into the ceiling or inbetween the walls of the door frame. Although this is mostly useless / softlocks as far as I've found testing. Still has some potential though.
