Manny (for lack of a better name) here was in captivity by the Saints bandits. When the mission said to free him, I really was expecting just a Khajiit (cause Ri'Saad sent me)

What even is bro? Is it ok to have him? Wanna fast travel but would he still be with me? Kinda doubt it

What’s the nicest looking vanilla sword in your opinion?

Mines dwarven. Simple and straightforward, only thing that would make it better is a leather wrap on the grip

Some sort of energy wave?? At the peak pretty much right above Bloodchill Cavern. If i stand in the "waves" then it just ragdolls me and I die

EDIT i did the Fus just to trigger it but as you can see in the video it doesn't need Fus to trigger it, as it started going off when I stood close to it. I first saw it from below when I looked directly up

Discussion It just hit me that The Companions and Collage of Winterhold questline are connected

It just hit me that Winter hold starts because you find the eye of magnus.

Just like the ancient nord did.

Which resulted in a snow elf attacks which lead to Ysgarnor founding the companions. Who's axe we go looking for in the champions quest line.

Which is pretty funny to me because i wounder how many other questline have hidden connections like that?

Okay this is by far the most wild quest I’ve done in Skyrim. So I got smashed with Sam in Whiterun. I wake up in Markarth with no memory and apparently I need to clean some shit up. I sold a goat named Gleda to a giant? I borrowed a wedding ring. I’m trying to find this dude Sam while all this is happening. I’m going through a portal and boom! Sam turns out to be Sanguine not Sam and he is a Daedric Prince of revelry? Did he just prank me? Share your thoughts on this quest please.

Lore The Battle of Gloombound Mine (Graphic and Terrifying)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You may think you've seen it all in Skyrim, but have you heard of the great Battle of Gloombound Mine?

Upon entering the mine to aquire precious metals, the hairs on the back of my neck stood as I heard the swoosh of dragon wings through the air. How could this be? I was underground!

How naive of me to think that dragons would merely adhere to the laws of physics and nature - that was my first mistake. Before I knew it, Lydia was burnt to a crisp by flames erupting from the great beasts mouth as it flew through the floor.

In a futile attempt to rescue her, the dragons tail whipped me 40 feet through the mineshaft in the opposite direction. I re-gather myself just in time for the dragon to take another pass through the walls. It's miraculous speed sent items shooting through the confined spaces of the mine.

The Orc, Mul gro Largash died instantly as a pickaxe traveled through his skull at 3000 miles per hour just as he called out a warning to his kin. As seen in the video, I attempted to lay his body to rest with a bucket, but the foul beast robbed him of any last dignity he could have.

Shortly thereafter, Mogdurz was decapitated as the dragon flew out one wall and into another at the speed of light. Bor hid in the deepest corner of the mine, covered in the blood of Gadba gro Largash who had just been turned to mist and completely dissappeared.

Today we commemorate those that died without honor or putting up any fight at all. Their bodies, or what remain of them, are still in the mine, unrecoverable, as the dragon continues to defy reality and cannot be killed. May they rest in peace.

While traveling on official Dominion business, I encountered three intoxicated Nords. One approached me and offered a drink.

Did this fool truly expect an officer of the Aldmeri Dominion to accept an unknown substance? An obvious attempt at poisoning, no doubt.

I promptly neutralized the threat.

His two companions quietly departed without a word. Suspicious behavior, though I suspect they understood the consequences of remaining.

One can never be too cautious in this province.

Question Nice Wives of Skyrim

As much as I love Mjoll and Frejya, I feel bad for taking them away from their home as they both have reasons to stay. Does anyone have any suggestions of nice wives that dont bitch about the house you built yourself? I know if you dont get kids they dont say anything bad about the house, but if I end up wanting kids, who would you recommend?

Discussion Skyrim but I can only use skills that I'd have IRL

• Upvotes

Obligatory mobile formatting apology.

This is my newest idea for a run. I can only use skills that I am good at/would be good at in real life. The goal is the have 1-2 skills in each area of Warrior-Mage-Thief that I can utilize.

Took it one step farther and asked people around me, who range from casual acquaintances to immediate family, what skills they think would be applicable. Worth noting that only one of these people has played skyrim before.

Results from survey as follows.

J, work acquaintance: conjuration/illusion, archery, sneak

N, work friend: conjuration, archery, alchemy

B, good friend: restoration/conjuration, archery/smithing, speech/alchemy

S, good friend: restoration/conjuration, two handed/smithing, lockpicking/speech

A, sibling: conjuration/restoration, two handed/archery, lockpicking/alchemy

S, sibling: did not understand, refused to comment. (Fair, lol)

K, significant other: conjuration/destruction, archery/two handed, sneak/pickpocket or light armor

Now, theyve given me some pretty good things here. And I don't exactly know what it means that every single person suggested conjuration, but I'll take it. I still have my own ideas about what I would be good at/would allow myself. In no particular order:

Candlelight spell, because I always have a small flashlight on me.

Restoration because I work in healthcare.

Sneak, because I will often unintentionally surprise people at work.

Alchemy, but only with food or food adjacent items, e.g. garlic and salt piles are good bc I would eat garlic salt, but I wouldn't actually cook a firefly so no Torchbug Thorax.

Archery, because I have never used a sword before but I have used a bow.

So after taking all the feedback into consideration, I have allowed myself to use Conjuration and restoration, archery and two handed, and sneak and lockpicking, with just a little alchemy, as described above.

Decided against smithing and speech because I'm not that handy or charismatic.

Obviously resisting the urge to be a sneak archer, ten levels in as a no-armor berserker who can't purchase or craft anything is pretty fun!

Discussion Looking back to when you were a Skyrim noob what weird of funny things or habits did you use to have or do in your play throughs?

For me my first couple of play throughs I would always pick faendel so I could take his house key and live in his house because I could never save enough septum’s tobhy breezehome. Also I was always poor so I would go to jail a lot for stealing potions and weapons and materials from stores especially the river wood trader. My earliest saves I had probably hundreds of times sent to jail.

And my first couple playthroughs I didn’t know you could follow hadvar I was always locked on ralof I never saw you could follow hadvar in the other door

Screenshot/Clip A Nord in Riverwood has been apprehended for crimes against an elf.

Post image

During a routine inspection of the primitive settlement of Riverwood, I uncovered a rather distasteful affair.

A Nord by the name of Sven had taken it upon himself to forge a letter in the name of a Bosmer resident, Faendal, with the apparent intention of disgracing him before a local woman.

It seems the Nords have grown so accustomed to their own insolence that they now believe themselves entitled to slander their elven betters without consequence.

I could not permit such an offense to go unanswered.

Upon being confronted, the Nord insisted that this was merely a personal dispute concerning a woman, as though his petty excuses were of any interest to an officer of the Aldmeri Dominion.

The offender was promptly apprehended. I will escort him to the Thalmor Embassy, where he will be questioned regarding his conduct and any further activities that may prove contrary to the interests of the Dominion.

The inhabitants of Riverwood would do well to remember that the Dominion does not overlook offenses against its interests, however insignificant the perpetrator.

We are watching.

Question Is there a possible duplication glitch within the tutorial area?

Post image
• Upvotes

Super specific question, but I promise there's a completely pointless reason as to why I'm asking this.

I'm trying to plan out a way to level as many skills to Level 100 as possible in the starting area as soon as feasibly possible (obviously, in the tutorial area). However, Lockpicking is very limited.

You only get a maximum of 18 Lockpicks total by the time you reach the gates, and that's it. Nowhere near enough to reach even Level 20 on its own.

Is there any additional Lockpick glitches or exploits that could potentially boost EXP gain or is there some obscure duplication glitch in the tutorial area I could use for the lockpicks?
