Today I found that if you trade all your abilities away and become the heretic, and you also do the challenge to survive as a Lemurian for 15 seconds, you will not switch back and you will be trapped as the Lemurian FOREVER.😭 Has this happened to anyone else?

Like genuinely there's so many ways to make it at least more likely, make it so that you can only get duplicate pages after getting all the pages, or you can use the shredded page as a one time Reincarnation to access it or hell make it so that you use all your pages to sacrifice them all to fight the secret boss.

The secret boss is so cool but it's such a shame it has one of the worst ways to fight it, the DLC has definitely been growing on me but this is something I cannot defend at all. The secret boss is not that fun or engaging when you just nuke him off petrichor to a run that has looped a bajillion times or true the sheer power of command.

out of all of the bosses, this one disappointed me the most. i think e8k8 mithrix is lacking because the fight itself was not changed in any way to make it meaningfully harder. the fight oozes with artificial padding that makes him take forever to kill since even e1 gives him the shields. as mercenary imo the name of the game is staying the fuck away from him since unlike every other boss in the game, new mithrix doesnt stop teleporting. there are hardly safe times that i have found besides post slam to actually fight.

...so i got my royal capacitor and stood on top of the pillar and cheesed the fight all the way from phase 2 and on. and to be quite honest, why is this still possible? i imagine many other characters get up there without too much difficulty as well. for such a hyped up rework i would think this basic cheese wouldnt work anymore.

i was surprised to see the community not like voidling or solus wing, but as merc i love them. i have to strafe and cycle cooldowns according to their attacks so i dont instantly die, but with mithrix he just ends my eviscerate early which makes me very one shot-able. and phase 4, while most certainly easy for other characters, is still beyond being worth running up to as merc so once again that pillar and royal capacitor will be your best friend except this time he has shields and heal drones to prolong it.

overall i am shocked this boss and the HC secret boss were developed around the same time. i feel like the best strategy for this boss is to sadly not engage with it at all as everything he does is fuck you damage at fuck you speed with fuck you health and fuck you shields that prevent you from cashing out the damage you earned. at least if the shields were gone, i could risk myself by blitzing him. if the boss is WAY too free with a certain strategy/not hard on some characters but actually dumb to fight when you engage with it "normally", its a questionable fight.

People always compare Operator to Pilot, but I've genuinely never seen the reason.

They have different primaries, different secondaries, different specials. The only slightly similarity (other than colour scheme) is Ascent Protocol and Parachute being kinda similar, but they're really not. Artificer's Ion Surge is more similar to Parachute, and Operator has nothing similar to Pilots alt utility.

I'm not saying this to just complain, and I really don't want to give that impression. I say all this to say actually, they're very different, and let's not write off Pilot as a potential new survivor for no reason, because I really want him in the game. They're different, and rather then compare them, let's just have both! Two cakes!

Like was this thing even playtested? It's either you focus items and get your firepower up but spend 2 whole minutes doing that or you just get absolutely mollywomped by the enemies THAT ARE ALL ELITE BTW. Genuinely ended soo many of my runs I hate it so much it sucks

It's pretty contentious as to who's the best survivor, so thought to open up a poll to see community's take. Couldn't fit every survivor into the poll, so I've picked the 6 that are often argued to be the strongest.

Typically strong survivors tend to be popular and often played: Loader, False Son, and newly introduced Enforcer. So I really find it appalling that the strongest survivor in the game is somehow the least popular one in the game. I feel there are more Captain & Commando players than there is us Seeker players.

In the overview tab of acolyte, the second "tip" says that the bola throw souls can trigger on hit and on kill effects but in my testing I have found that this is not the case. The on kill effects only occur if the enemy the soul is tied to also dies, but then the soul doesn't also have the effect. This may just be my fault for not understanding what the overview means.

Slide one is first fight, slide 2 is second (look at my items for proof), this can be done by using reincarnation after killing false son, and then doing the normal anima harvester route

I dropped into Distant Roost (as Enforcer) and as soon as I dropped, I could see the top of a chance shrine behind the pod. It takes 17 gold. You start with 15. I immediately turned around (after exiting the pod) and I saw a purple Lemurian. Shot him twice with M1, immediately turned around again, hit the shrine and a RED popped out! All within 15 seconds hahaha. I honestly cant remember the last time a red came out of the chance shrine, and the very FIRST item too!

This effect is so comically unfun to play against. I know it isn’t actual immortality, but it basically functions as if it is so that’s what I’ll call it.

If I have the ability to shred Mithrix in one second I should be able to. If you have the ability to instantly get rid of 10% of Mithrix’s HP, surviving for 5 seconds during his immortality is in no way a challenge so this only serves to artificially extend the fight. For on tier builds it does a similar thing where the fight already takes a bit so an artificial extension also is irrelevant. If you need to make your boss immortal to balance them, it’s a poorly balanced boss.

This effect is especially bad on phase 4. Let’s be real: Phase 4 is still extremely easy, it’s just unnecessarily long because of the shields.

I have been playing K8 Mithrix more and I’ll say that once you learn the fight he just isn’t difficult. I feel like forcing you to play a fight longer that you need to, especially when you can easily beat him faster, it not fun at all. This is one of the main reasons I hate Solus Wing: The fight is stupidly long for no reason and therefore I often want to skip him.

Extremely strong Enforcer run that I looped like 4 times, had a 57-leaf clover and went through every stage opening equipment barrels until I got two Tricorns and shot a Magma Worm and Overloading Worm

But then on the same stage I shot the last Worm... I hit the teleporter without switching it to the planet and got stuck 😭

I had all the items for both things and was planning on killing all the bosses but just ended up killing Mithrix and Voidling 🥲
