Is background saving removed in the new PS beta?
You used to be able to hit save and continue working. But not anymore.
I hope this isn't a new feature in future versions of Photoshop.

Hello. This is kind of a tech issue. I'm a graphic design student, however I've graduated a while ago. My Adobe account was strictly made by my school and expired a while ago - it no longer exists, as the email to the account got deleted due to my graduation. I still have Photoshop installed, but I have absolutely zero ways to log into my account becouse it simply doesn't exist anymore. It takes 8 GB of my storage and its not a lot, but I would like it gone anyways. How do I delete it?

I spent years learning all the tricks of the trade for retouching images having been amazed at how it was done when I was a junior designer in London seeing wires and unwanted objects removed after the transparencies were scanned... Magic!
When the Generative Fill, Expand and Remove tools arrive in PhotoShop it almost gave me the same feeling, it looked so easy and so fast...
I tested it on some images I have put off editing as I thought it would simply take too long so here’s what I found...
The first image was to try and ‘finish’ the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona by removing the cranes and some of the construction evidence. I used the lasso tool here mainly and it did a very good job. The only part of the image I will have to do ‘manually’ are where the safety mesh is as the remove tool didn’t seem to understand what it was seeing.
The second image was used to test removing the various untidy and messy street furniture, wires and then people before making any colour editing. The automatic find and remove did an excellent job, the only think it didn’t like was the van in the background so I simply undid the operation and removed it completely. There is an odd block left behind there but the next task would be to simply remove that with the lasso tool.

Zooming in on both images shows that where the generative removal has taken place there are no unusual artefacts.
I’m an Adobe Community Expert and love testing any new tools in PhotoShop so like to try them on difficult images. Has anyone else tried the remove tools on a complex image with lots of tricky items, especially wires crossing the subject or a detailed background and had success? Please share, it would be great to see.

hi everyone, how is it going? my name is gabe, i am a brazilian advertising student in my third semester, and i wanted to share some of my designs with you—they are pretty amateur, just so you know! to give you some context for the right feedback, this project was for an advertising copywriting class. the brief was to create a 3-card instagram grid/carousel to sell a product related to the national artist milton nascimento. my part on the team was to handle this piece. the product itself was fictional: an animated mini-documentary and a collection of vinyl records. the core requirement was to target gen z using a mandatory humorous tone.
since i was going to handle this specific part entirely on my own while my teammates focused on other advertising pieces, i decided to do the copy and design myself from scratch, without using any ai. i really wanted the chance to practice photoshop and sharpen my skills with the software.
i would love to get your feedback based on this brief. i intentionally chose a vintage bistro restaurant concept for the design because i thought it would match the color palette i chose: a "minas gerais terracotta," since milton nascimento is from minas gerais, which i thought was a brilliant tie-in. i felt it fit the artist's aesthetic perfectly and looked great! my only real concern was that it might not resonate with gen z, or worse, that it might not come across as humorous, and my professor is incredibly strict about following the brief.
either way, my designs were ultimately rejected by my team because they were afraid the professor wouldn't like them, claiming they did not appeal to gen z and were not funny enough. they decided to go in a different direction, probably something meme-based, which i honestly found a bit tacky.
knowing that i am a complete beginner, did my design turn out well? what can i improve? i truly want to grow as a designer and artist! what could i have done differently, and what actually worked? i would really appreciate your insights.

i recently spent quite a while working on a hobby project in photoshop, i saved the psd for a while, came back
the colours on the image are completely nuked- they look nothing like the project i was working on, substantially more flattened. apparently this can be an issue with colour profiles not saving properly so i fiddle with that for a while but it's not the case. i do some more digging and supposedly gradients are not saved to the psd file itself, but in a separate local cache.
so apparently whem making a custom gradient, there are two different save buttons? and if you click the wrong one that means it doesn't save permanently, before retroactively deleting itself and rendering the psd file unusable? i'm willing to accept user error causing undesirable effects, but this is beyond the pale- please tell me i'm misunderstanding the situation and it wasn't seriously designed to work this way??? apologies if i am venting frustrations here but its just unimaginable to me that the UX flow on widely used and expensive software can allow clicking the wrong 'save' button on a colour picker to turn your entire project into a timebomb that deletes itself
do i have any options here that aren't just making the whole thing from scratch? is there some recovery option i'm missing?

Hey everyone,
I have a client who is asking me to retouch the area I circled above, she wants me to slim it down, and make it so it doesn't look folded like that. Normally I don't retouch peoples body shape but she really wanted it done for her yearbook photo. Anyways, I was wondering if you have any tool suggestions in Photoshop.
I am wondering about how to make it work without messing up the grass above it.
I prefer to minimize my use of generative AI as much as possible, but I am willing to use some of the tools Photoshop has if there isn't an easy way without.
Thanks so much!

Hey everyone, I'm doing some practice stylizing text in Photoshop and I'm trying to figure out how to get these cool etched lines inside the text, like on this title here: https://www.amazon.com/Crown-Dead-Heartstring-Duet-Book-ebook/dp/B0H8N8MMP6
Can anyone walk me through this? Deeply appreciated.

Faces that I made for a prop of one of my OCs, Samoel the Heinous. Unfortunately, the LED mask on it broke and we decided to scrap the idea.

Every time I open a new project, the Snap To functions have stopped working. They're marked as on in the View menu, but they don't work.
The fix is to go to View > Snap To and select "None," then do the same thing and select "All" this time. And then snapping functions as it should until I close the current project and work on something else.
Anyone have a permanent fix for this? I've had this problem before, but it had been working as it should for the past month before suddenly doing this again.

I used to use google search for anatomy and animal refs but AI is making my life difficult. I'm trying to draw animal motions (right now jumping frogs) but there's a bunch of anthro slop mixed in and i want to study real photos of real animals. If there's a good website or something i can use i don't mind paying for it
