Mario & Vivian are one of the most underrated ships in the fandom despite having one of the most developed stories as a duo

Vivian treated horribly for so long than crossing paths with Mario, someone who lost his friends, body, identity

Yet he was still the first person who was ever nice to her despite being in a worst situation than.

It made Vivian realize more how much a kind heart can change for the better

It makes me believe Vivians feelings for Mario hits alot harder than anyone else's

Like i understand Vivian has only one appearance So i cant really say anything abt ppl not knowing/understanding their chemistry/story

But still

Now don't get the wrong idea, put down the pitchforks. I'm just saying that he isn't AS bad as people say he is. His actions are awful, like actively withholding Scarlette's final letter to Bobbery because he was scared, leaving Bobbery blaming himself for years, and leaving Eve because he was jealous of her success on stage. This makes him a piece of shit person. But the thing is, Podley KNOWS it. He recognizes himself as a selfish coward and an awful person for the things he's done hurting those around him. It doesn't make up for the things he's done, and I'm not saying he's "misunderstood". I'm just saying, he's a well written character who actually knows what he did was wrong. Besides, Dupree is a WAY worse character than Podley.

Fun fact: The image is an actual picture I took of a small nature trail that's more or less within walking distance of where I am, but it does take a bit of a while to get there. I've had this project on my PC for a while and only just decided to finish it up.

This is a mod pack for Paper Boat that offers a faithful HD UI and Background experience. This includes:

- Faithful HD UI elements

- New HD watercolour background textures

- Original spritework and world textures are untouched

I've made some improvements to the original release of this mod:

-Several UI elements have been updated to better match the original UI.

-Several background textures have been tweaked.

-This now also includes the option to use either the Classic Font in HD (compiled by superfrogxyz on gamebanana), or the modern font (compiled by the MasterKillua team). Full credit to them both for their work. I've tweaked the textbox colours to now match the HD classic font perfectly, so it should now be pretty seamless.

Installation:

Download the three o2r files (choose either the classic text or the modern text).

Place these in the Mods folder in Paper Boat. Enable alternate assets in Paper Boat settings. Make sure that they are loading in the correct order (001 on top, 002 in the middle, 003 at the bottom).

So, I recently beat the Crystal Palace in 64 again. This has caused me to have thoughts about the Duplighosts.

Duplighosts suck at copying Mario. 3 Duplighosts copy Mario on the field to play mirror. And the single one of those three that fights you drops the Mario disguise. They won't copy Mario, only your partner.

I Tattled all the Duplighost forms this playthrough. I found that the Duplighosts would refuse to copy Partners if it wasn't their first turn. I was passing turns to give them chances to copy a partner, but all they would only use their regular attack after turn 1.
Lee in the Dojo did not behave the same way. He had a pretty set attack combo. Copy > Partner Attack > Lose Form and Regular Attack > Copy. I managed to Tattle all 9 of his forms in one fight like this.

One of the Duplighosts that copied Mario is either a traitor or the Crystal King wanted Mario to make it to him. Without a Duplighost duo copying Mario and Kooper, Mario would not be able to hit a switch that makes a bridge he needs. The other Mario copiers either fight you or lure you into a potential ambush.

I REALLY want to play Paper Mario: Color Splash. I do own a Wii U. I want to know if I should either:

a) buy the game for wii u

b) get an emulator

Please help. I've tried to get an emulator, but I had trouble. If you have used an emulator, and think I should too, please help.

It can be anything from pieces of a specter, stars, hearts, spirits or even just just regular looking gems!

I was rewatching Arglefumph's run of the original game, when I came back across the dialogue that has always puzzled me, yet I've never seen anyone else discuss it before. To be clear, this was changed in the remake which I liked in part because it was so out of place but I'm now left still feeling confused. Who was "the strange-garbed one who came earlier"?

The only one who makes sense to me for who she meant is Koopley, but he doesn't strike me as being particularly "strange-garbed" vis a vis other koopas, the likes of which Hooktail has seen thousands if not millions of over the centuries. Michael wondered aloud whether she was talking about the Princess, but Peach must have been grabbed from Rogueport shortly after sending her letter to Mario. I also considered Lord Crump but I think that would have come up during the intermission or in Chapter Three. Perhaps the original Japanese was mistranslated in the first place, hence why this was removed altogether twenty years later? What do you all think? We may never solve this mystery but I'd be interested in hearing other perspectives.

This is a little project I set up for myself to get the best Paper Mario 64 experience on a hd display whilst keeping the original charm and tone. I'm liking it so much that I thought I'd share the files for anyone who is interested.

The only two things in this game that I personally don't think have aged well for modern screens are the UI/text, and the backgrounds. To solve this for myself, I made a heavily modified UI and text fork using MasterKillua's texture pack as a base (all credit to the team, their work is incredible). I tweaked a lot of these textures to better match the original UI.

This only changes the HUD, text, and UI elements. All of the original sprite and texture work is left untouched.

I also made some new background textures as a fun side project (entirely optional, I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea). I tried to keep them as faithful as possible, whilst matching the storybook aesthetic. This includes all of the background textures, including the title screen (I used all of the official original character artwork where available).

I was bored so i decided to make a graphics design little project to turn super paper mario wii cover to a gamecube cover, didn't take me long enough. I hope you guys like it. Not the proudest cause of the spine being black but it'll do.

There's surprisingly (or maybe not) a community I can reference specifically for this mod, so I figured here would be best. I have a couple of questions, but most important I have is how do you set custom seeds? I'm not quite sure if it's a pre-requisite, I've already been the three difficulty of towers and talked to the NPC.
