Shedeur Sanders asked the Eagles and Ravens not to draft him as he did not want to be a longterm backup. Since then, Sanders has only started 7 games for Cleveland. In the same window, Lamar Jackson has missed 7 games and Jalen Hurts will miss atleast 13 by the end of this season.
Snoop Huntley, who signed with the Cleveland Browns alongside Shedeur in 2025, has now started 6 games for the Ravens. However, Lamar Jackson is reportedly healthy and set to return on Sunday vs the Bills.
Most notably, Jalen Hurts will miss the rest of the regular season following the discovery of blood clots. Along with a missed game last season, Jalen Hurts will total atleast 13 missed games for the Eagles from last season until the end of the 2026 season.
Shedeur Sanders, meanwhile, has started only 7 games (appearing in 10). Shedeur entered 2025 as QB3 for Cleveland, but was named QB2 for 2026 season - and has recorded 1 pass completed for 0 yards. Despite Shedeur's wishes, he has served as a backup quarterback during his time in Cleveland. It is likely that by the end of this season, Shedeur would've started more games if he'd gone to Philadelphia instead.

Only hours before the 1946 NFL Championship Game, the league discovered that a gambler had offered two Giants players - Merl Hapes and Frankie Filchock - bribes to throw the game. Hapes was banned from playing in the game, but Filchock denied the allegations and was allowed to play.
He threw 6 interceptions in the game, which the Giants lost, and later admitted under oath that he had indeed not only been approached, but had accepted the bribe money after some coaxing. Both players were banned from the NFL indefinitely.
The most ironic part of it all? The Giants lost by 10 points, 24-14, the exact betting line the gamblers had put their money down on, meaning neither the gamblers nor two who had agreed to possibly throw the game made a single dollar off of the result.
