Discussion Lets be honest, SBMM needs to go.

Please for the dear love of god, the whole community would like SBMM to be removed from casual multiplayer. Please leave that to a dedicated ranked mode. - personally i would like to be able to choose single game modes i ranked insted of have to play 3 different like good old days.
Upvote this for recognitio, we must rise our voices together.. much love for an otherwise great and enjoyable game <3

Feedback DMZ needs a dedicated PvE mode

Im not saying get rid of PvPvE, but trekking for 20 minutes to acquire items you need just to be sniped by an extract camper is not fun and not worth sinking my time into.

I like this game mode a lot on its own, but I refuse to play when others use it as a tool to boost their ego. (Killing me and not even looting my body)

Just allow us to create operators that can only be used in PvE as well as a PvE specific stash.

Discussion They need to balance out MnK & Controller asap.

After struggling and having to sweat my dick off just to get around +1.5 KD on MnK, the game has just not been fun. As an old controller player, I switched back over. Now the game feels terrible in the sense that I can feel the AA doing a lot of the work for me. I'm consistently dropping close to 2 KD every game now, but the kills are just not satisfying at all. It feels automated. MnK just feels right, but man am I sick of losing every gun fight because the other guy has a laser beam and every single shot connects. The current state of this game will not last long if some changes are not made. I'm not hating on controller by any means, but right now neither input feels good.

Discussion Why is everyone trashing the matchmaking?

I dont get it. I've always been slightly above average in terms of K/D (1.1-1.2ish), but I rock the crap out of the objective and always finish top 3 on my team, usually I'm number 1, and my win loss ratio is like 3. This game is no different. I play hard and fast. I'm almost ready to prestige for first time and I am having a blast. I don't play ranked and I'm not saying I am anywhere near a sweaty sweat. I'm just good/decent.

Every single post I see is how SBMM is killing the game. WTF is even that? Like nothing feels different to me about the matchmaking. Can somebody explain to me why everyone is super upset about playing with players supposedly at a similar skill set? I don't get it man.

Discussion Multiplayer is good and so is SBMM

I’ve read countless posts about how people just want to come home to relax and play, not be up against sweats. What that really means is they want to pubstomp and ruin the game for other less skilled players.

Sorry but if you don’t want to play against someone your own skill level, the worse players are going to have even less fun going 2-30 every time. I’m not feeling any sympathy for someone who’s K/D is 1.00 or higher in their lobbies. A complete noob shouldn’t be going against the movement freaks who grind it 8 hours a day and exploit the game mechanics

I’m having tons of fun in multiplayer and will continue to play and enjoy myself

Discussion Sometimes it's unbelievable how people act in DMZ

Jumped in for one match yesterday. Didn't have my 2 buddies so I queued up alone, and got matched with 2 randos.

We got in the match, the other 2 started sprinting at a different direction (I believe it's mostly for looting and side ops). Figured that I would just start working on the main op on my own, at least to get us all some cash.

My weapons were all carrying suppressors as I wanted to keep a low profile when moving alone. Main op was a breeze, looting bomb parts and blowing things up.

When I was sprinting to my last objective's location, I saw a party of 3 being gunned down by a Lieutenant. 3 downed, one self revived. Jumped in to drop them my last 2 med kits I had in my entire inventory, and drew the attention of the Lieutenant away and gunned him down, which took only 2 mag dumps. Walked away, didn't touch any of their loots since the effort was on them. Yet the last thing I knew was that I was gunned down by all 3 of them. They took my loots and walked away.

Like, seriously what the hell is wrong with everyone in this game? I was eventually revived by the other 2 teammates, but lost everything. I tried to call in truce at the start, but no one had ever accepted the truce so far in all the matches I had. I guess this is just a region's thing.

Discussion Multiplayer sucks

Am I the only one who’s genuinely disappointed with MW4 multiplayer?
I’m an OG COD player. I’ve been playing since COD4 all the way through BO3, and eventually stopped playing because of SBMM. It got to the point where every match felt like a sweat fest instead of just hopping on and having fun.
I caught the tail end of BO7 and honestly had more fun playing COD than I’ve had in years. It gave me hope that the franchise was finally heading in the right direction, so I had high hopes for MW4.
But man, these maps are terrible. There’s barely any color or personality to them. Everything looks so dull, gray, and depressing. The map design and spawns are frustrating, and the overall experience just isn’t enjoyable.
I miss when COD had memorable maps, vibrant environments, and that feeling of jumping on multiplayer just to have a good time. I’m not saying the older games were perfect, but they had an identity that made them fun and memorable.
BO7 reminded me why I loved COD in the first place, which makes MW4 even more disappointing.
Am I alone in feeling this way, or does anyone else feel like COD has lost what made it special?

If you try to customize your weapons, then go in game, all the attachments you added aren't there.

But if you try to customize mid game, it straight freezes your game.

Gameplay Can anyone explain to me why I'm dying three times in 20 seconds on Munition?

I have no idea on what's going on with the spawns, and I also get killed by the same person TWICE in a row. I feel like a statistic to pad out player kills and deaths rather than just a dude trying to play the game.

Question Can someone help me understand the SBMM complaints?

Genuine question. From what I’ve read/seen, the complaints against SBMM seem to be

  1. from more skilled players; and
  2. one of the following (or some combination of the two): (a) I am very good at this game, and I am frustrated that I’m being placed in lobbies where I’m not as dominant; and/or (b) lower skilled “casuals” should have to get better or they should just have to deal with a lower K/D against me.

Is that the issue? And if it is, isn’t that kind of hypocritical? At that point aren’t the people making those complaints just the lower skilled players relative to the ones at the top of those lobbies? And can’t the same logic be applied to them?

Or are the complaints about something else?

Discussion Worst K/D I’ve ever had in the 19 Call of Duty games I have played online

19 fucking Call of Duty games. 19 with at least a 1.0 K/D.

This is the first COD I have played before where my K/D is under 1.00. It is currently K/D Ratio of 0.86.

This is absolutely the sweatiest COD game I have ever played. There is something I quite don’t get about the TTK or TTD in this game. It just seems rather inconsistent.

I mean I am still having fun at the game but I’ve had to stop caring at all to have fun. I can’t keep up anymore. It could be because I’m playing in Switch 2. Or could also just be getting old now.

Discussion This is most unfun Shipment for many years

I guess the reason is combination of slow movement and high ttk, maybe with bad netcode. This shit is just frustrating and unfun even without the sbmm complaing. After playing of MW4's Shipment, I going to MWIII Shipment 24/7 and holy sh, the gameplay is just peak

When .436% of all my deaths are just two guns, I can’t help but think everyone is a sheep and takes a right turn when they enter a mall. God forbid you don’t just only use one singular weapon.

Discussion Multiplayer and Movement…

The multiplayer is brutal man. Like literally nails on a chalkboard. Feels like I’ve got cement blocks on my feet and everyone is either camping or holding a head glitch. I know some people HATED omni movement but at least the speed was a counter to this kind of no skill soulless play style. If a camper caught you off guard AT LEAST you could move around and make him miss to have a fighting chance at winning the fight or running away. I swear the only people that love this are the old heads who just want a golden age remake every year. There is no skill gap and no incentive to get better when COD games are made like MW4 is made. It rewards boring and cowardly play styles.

(Yes I’m pissed off lmfao)

Discussion Why the sudden radio silence?

The devs threw away 4 years of balancing the game around fast TTK & movement, claiming to have playtested the game weekly & devs staying at the studio way late to keep playing the game cuz they were having so much fun, all because of people complaining on the first day of the closed beta (weekend 1)

Over the closed beta weekend, the devs made multiple changes to TTK, weapon damage, etc, claiming they were "listening to feedback" and that they "wanted to make this the best Modern Warfare game ever" - they did more to address peoples' concerns during a CLOSED BETA WEEKEND (3 days) than they have in a week since launch

No communication from Griggs or anyone at the studio about the TTK complaints, hitreg issues, uber dogshit spawns, cranked SBMM, perk category balancing, footstep audio, and a flurry of other ACTUAL issues that people have been bringing up since the launch of Multiplayer - these people paid $70+ for a game, only for nothing to be addressed thus far

How is it that these guys are so SPINELESS and quick to cave to people bitching about a game the first day of a beta, yet so quiet and tame when people are complaining about a paid product?

Why did they say they were going to communicate & listen more, just to gut Open Matchmaking, totally destroy the intended gameplay loop, and turn the game into something that it wasn't intended to be? (High TTK, slow movement, every gun being a peashooter besides a select few)

Hell, Shipment launched today and they couldn't even include a Hardcore Shipment 24/7 playlist; no word from devs about an upcoming patch or anything to ease the crowd btw

This is STRICTLY regarding MULTIPLAYER; the Campaign & DMZ modes are great, and that's because they STUCK TO THE INTENDED DESIGN of a faster paced, smoother movement, faster TTK game

Before anyone says "skill issue" or "just adapt" - this is exactly why the game is so shit right now; the people saying those things are largely the ones that would've cried about Weekend 1 of the beta instead of giving it time

The Open Beta crowd didn't even get to experience or try the intended game, they got some Black Ops 6 copy/paste slop

Feedback Flinch mechanics seem pointless

With controller aim assist as strong as it is, the flinch mechanics seem pointless. I've had so many engagements where I land the first shot, but they power through the flinch and land more shots on me in a faster time.

I'm convinced it's a combination of lag compensation, TTD, and aim assist tracking being too strong that results in this feeling.

Discussion Infinity Ward listened = We got Bad TTK

TRUTH BOMB:

Infinity Ward actually listened to feedbacks (and they listened to wrong communtiy). That's how we got an absurd MP TTK. So, please do not gaslight others by saying Infinity Ward is "stubborn" or "arrogant". The studio clearly listened, and IW fans got hurt in the end.

Question Just my opinion....

I am gonna say it loud but it is just my opinion. I love the fact that so many people are so upset that the game is slower and more realistic then jumping off walls and sliding a football field at a time across a map. What did yall expect? Did you really expect the same thing? Knowing you arent getting it and then once it comes out your upset it's exactly as advertised? Ill agree there are some issues I would love them to fix but overall the crying I have seen from everyone has been from people getting absolutely rocked online. What about yall? What do you think about it so far and the hate its got so far? Is it justified? Or are people just not willing to accept reality and how it really is now? Lol

Discussion Anyone else just find the multiplayer boring?

• Upvotes

I don't find it anymore frustrating than I normally find a COD game in the first week or so of release, but I do find it incredibly tedious and boring.

I think my boredom can pretty much be boiled down to the gameplay and movement is too slow for the TTK.

Coming off the back of the blops games I feel like I should be used to a higher TTK now, but those games also had fast paced movement designed for moving about the map quickly and getting in frequent gunfights.

And as much as I like the black ops style gameplay of fast movement and high TTK, I also like the MW style of slower gameplay with lower TTK. But having a game have slower movement with high TTK just feels like an absolute chore. Lugging about the map trying to find a gunfight only to feel like you're flicking peas at the enemy team is just so boring to me. I haven't found one gun that feels satisfying to me whatsoever, it's bordering on feeling like airsoft game at this point

Discussion This game had potential to be the best cod

Between the crazy aim assist, sbmm, hit reg and desync it can't be the best not even close.

Was my first cod in 13 years since ghost and I was so excited to come back.. yeah 1.0 kd forced is fun. Only had an itch to play a shooter again because hood warfare 2 got me back into it and that's a much better game for only $5 lmao

Discussion Glazing feels a bit ridiculous

Yes the campaign is great and honestly contender for the best in any call of duty game ever. So if you're a campaign fan thats good for you.

Multiplayer on the other hand feels awful to play, with cross platform and controller aim assist being broken, you cant really use Mouse and keyboard, its a kind of join them to beat them type of deal. On top of that the hit reg is laggy and the maps are awful, and also the lack of guns is pretty disappointing too. I notice people try to counter it by saying (You'll just use the same 1 gun anyways) still, past entries having more guns at launch compared to a newer entry is quite disappointing.

Oh yeah, on top of it all, the optimization of the game is horrible and the GB size is fucking insane.

I'm seeing this cod as a 6 or 7 (No pun intended) out of 10 game. It's "good" but not worldbreaking like everyone else is saying

Discussion Do you guys think we will get a ttk change?

The recent customer survey gave me hope that we will get a change in the ttk, but Infinity Ward has proved hundreds of times that they're absolutely incapable of listening to the community, unable to backtrack on the bullshit random decisions they decide to add to each of their titles. Am I wrong about being hopeful? Probably. What do you guys think?

P.S. Since I know some idiot will comment that the ttk is "fine" and should be left like it is now, I'm answering in advance. The entire game design, like damage multipliers and maps, clearly tell that this game wasn't meant to be like this. Stop gaslighting yourselves

Discussion Multiplayer feels so unnatural it’s unlike any other COD

No other way to describe the multiplayer experience right now…. The level of inconsistencies is record breaking. TTK times and hit markers make no sense, the same exact gun loadout will perform vastly different between gunfights. It almost feels like the SBMM and other behind the scenes systems are playing the game for me. Whether I play good or bad, or mediocre (usually this) my K/D will always be forced to 1.0.

At this point it’s factually correct that something is wrong, every gunfight is inconsistent and blatantly different from other COD titles.
