The bands and artists that are carrying the torch forward for melodic death metal in North America. This is an endeavor to make the ultimate one stop shop for finding any melodic death metal bands that are from North America. Perhaps one day we can gather many of these together and do a festival. Be sure to save it to your Spotify library and share it around!

Just discovered this band doing EXACTLY what I like to see from American metalheads. That European melodic death metal sound, so added him to the official North American Melodeath Spotify Playlist. I've been building this playlist for awhile now, a lot of the artists I've found from recommendations here, or in the technical death metal sub. Since I've had such good luck in the past I'd love some more bands/songs to add. Mainly looking for current bands that fit in either aforementioned subgenres, and fly a bit more under the radar.

Self promotion, or friend promotion highly encouraged!

Melodeath is my favorite genre, and i wanted to create a playlist for both people who already like the genre and people who want to get into. What bands do you guys consider absolute essential to put into the playlist?

Till now, here's the list of bands that i added:

In Flames

Soilwork

Arch Enemy

Dark Tranquility

Children of Bodom

Insomnium

Scar Symmetry

The Halo Effect

At The Gates

Here's the link to the playlist, for anyone interested:

Edit: thank you so much for you collaborations! I think it's very good now. From old to new, and with various bands who mix other genres with melodeath. This way, there's something for everyone!

Here you have some lovely melodic death metal from the deep forests of Sweden.

Hello Guys! After binging all of In Flames' catalogue I noticed there's no comprehensive list of all the non-studio album music of theirs, so I compiled everything here. I hope it shines more light on these hidden gems ('94 acoustic piece goes hard af).

If I missed anything, let me know.

Hope you Guys enjoy!

Since lot of their pre-Skydancer material and bonus tracks awesome, I thought I'd shine more light on them by making that obscure side of their discography more accessible by compiling it all in one playlist. If anyone finds other material I missed, write down in the comments!

Hi everyone! I made a post a few days ago asking for fresh bands for a new playlist.

The playlist is ready here: New Age Melodic / Featuring: Dawn of Existence, Event Horizon, and many other new bands.

Hope everyone enjoys it, and if you have more bands that aren't in the playlist or want to add your bands to the playlist just comment it below :)

Just wanted to share my own melodic death metal playlist on spotify.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/17299Nx7Mm07z604k1OUlw?si=5e0c8b26c4dc474f

It contains a huge tracklist where you can listen to MDM literally for days. In this playlist one can find has many of the known bands but also some lesser known groups. It also includes bands that aren't strictly MDM but belong to the closely related genres (viking/folk or even some melodic black), hence the "+" symbol next to the playlist's name.

Hope you enjoy it! Like & share it if you dig it :)

I'm trying to put together a pop cover playlist. Why not. I'm not doing a very good job so far, but here's what I've started. Pop Covers on Spotify

What's on your radar? Being good isn't a requirement.

Hey all, not sure how common these types of posts are here, but thought I'd drop my Spotify playlist that I've been building over the past few months. Just got introduced to Melodic Death Metal for the first time through Rise to Fall earlier this year, and I think I'm doing pretty good so far. Got a good mix of popular and lesser known bands, so hopefully you'll find something new you like.

I'm also partially making this post because I want some recommendations, so let me know what bands I need to add!
