The examples I want to show are very simple just so our none Rojhilati Kurds can understand how Persians are. I have noticed a lack of awareness about the Persians their methods and views on us Kurds among our fellow Kurds. I won't go through their elaborate and detailed propaganda against us in these set of posts because I think they need a deeper understanding of Rojhilat and Iran but these examples will suffice for most part. I hope they stay here for all the Kurds to see.

Persians count alot on Hasan Zirak the famous Rojhilati Kurdish singer. He was arrested by the second Pahlavi Shah. The intelligence service of Iran gave him two options: sing a Kurdish song in praise of the Pahlavi Shah or stay imprisoned for life.

He chose to sing the song and get free but later died out of melancholy and depression for singing that song. He later wished to have stayed imprisoned after seeing how the song was used as propaganda by Iran against Kurds. The song is still used by Persians to this day.

You can see how the flag has Islamic inscriptions similar to ISIS and Taliban to make Yarsan and Shia Kurds scared of Sunni Kurds. Making them believe Sunni Kurds have Islamist/Jihadi ideas.

It seems like lately pkk and apo gets to much hate recently, All those hate is backed off by propaganda, ignorance and lack of knowledge.

like the most stupid argument ive heard is "apo doesnt want kurdistan"
so stupid argument, Apo have sat in jail for 27 years because of kurdish cause and STILL people say he doesnt want kurdistan.

Also notice how 99% of any protest for kurds the pkk flags raised, ITS APOCIS THAT ACTUALLY DOES THE ACTION. Like i swear so many kurds larp online saying apocis are braindead, WHEN ITS ACTUALLY APOCIS THAT GO OUTSIDE PROTEST or do anything.

out of all the protest ive seen outside and been in IVE NEVER ONCE seen barzani or puk flag. ONLY THE KURDISH,ROJAVA and PKK flag.

The examples I want to show are very simple just so our none Rojhilati Kurds can understand how Persians are. I have noticed a lack of awareness about Persians their methods and views on us Kurds among our fellow Kurds. I see everyone is fully aware of the Turks and Arabs methods but not Persians. I won't go through their elaborate and detailed propaganda against us in these set of posts because I think they need a deeper understanding of Rojhilat and Iran but these examples will suffice for the most part. I hope they stay here for all Kurds to see. These may seem sloppy and simple (they are) but are very effective. Imagine thousands of pages etc like this constantly bombarding people.

Translation:

"Serious danger! ISIS, Mujahideen, Kurdish Democrat Party, Syrian Fanatics (Wahabis) with coordination with the Peshmarga, Democrat Peshmarga and Pjak with this uniform will enter Iran from the west to kill the Iranian Kurds in the Kermanshah province and want to put the Sorani language and the Arab religion (Ummar, Abu Bakr and Usman) instead of the Kalhur religion and language the Yarsan religion and The lak language. They want to do this in the comin war. Dont show mercy to anyone you see wearing this Kurdish uniform if you show them mercy then you have betrayed your honor/women. They have want to attack/rape. This is the Kurdistan Islamic Republic project which means exactly the Islamic Republic with Kurdish language."

Here you can see how they make a salad of groups and Idiologies that are dangerous and put Kurds next to them to illegitimize Kurds. They also work on making Yarsan And Shia Kurds afraid of Sunni Kurds. Persians promote this idea that all the nations within Iran are savages and the Persian rule is the only thing keeping them from falling into civil wars and sectarian violence. Here you can see they are promoting the same thing by giving the Yarsan and the Shia Kurds the idea that other Kurds because of their different religion will be dangerous to them so they need Iran to be safe. At the same time they say Sorani language to make it seem like they are of a different group and not Kurds like Laks and Kalhurs while again at the same time making it seem like Laks and Kalhurs are not Kurds and are separate ethnicities.

Translation:

"With pride say which Iranian ethnicity are you from?

Lak

Lur

Kurd

Jaf

Kalhur

Goran

Soran

Ghalkhani

Sanjabi

Our identity is our pride."

Here you can see how they divide many components of Kurd and present them as separate ethnicities.

Somehow they think there is a separate group of people called Kurds that are not any of these while all of these together create the Kurd.

Wherever you go and ask Kurds: "what are you?" They will answer: "I am/we are Kurdish." while at the same time belonging to one of the groups mentioned above.

Iranians need to introduce the components of Kurd as separate entities in order to make them part of Iran because acknowledging that all of them together create the Kurds is as if they agree that Kurd is a nation. Recognition of anything that resembles Kurd as a nation fully opposes their idea of Iran being a nation. Therefore you see endless efforts to separate Kurds from each other by Persians/Iranians.

Informative Iranshahr idiology against Kurds

Guys I'm from rojhilat. In rojhilat there was a policy that started by the second Pahlavi Shah. As part of their nation building project one of their strategies was to seperate all sub groups from each other so the groups would dissolve so then they could merge them again this time as Iranians. The example of it for kurds is they would seperate kurds and call them by their sub group names. For example they would say Lak Kalhur Feyli Kurmanj Goran etc are not Kurds. They would only call Soranis Kurds. This method was used because Persians wanted to eliminate other nations and give them the new Iranian identity. Their famous saying that goes: all the ethnicities here are iranian or we are all iranians comes from this policy. This policy the Pahlavis employed stopped when their regim failed and the Islamic Repulic of Irans regim (IRI) took over.

The thing is since 6 month ago after the Major Protests right before the attack carried out by USA/Israel and after the attack the opposition of The IRI got more active. Among the opposition there is the Pahlavist/Iranshahri group. And they have started that same policy once again. The Persian social media is filled with new pages channels etc that constantly follow the same rhetoric that each group of kurds are actually not kurds. There are now pages that claim to be Yarsan and they say Yarsan are not kurds and support Pahlavi the same situation goes for other groups.

Their smartest method is. They dont just simply say things like Laks are not Kurds. they brew hatred among different groups of kurds. For example they claim to be a lak and say we laks are only laks and we must have our own country of lakistan along with some insults toward other nearby kurds that are kalhurs or yarsan etc. They make pages and channels like this for everyone. They also try to make Sunni and Shia Kurds afraid of each other. They know only 1 2 or 3 milions of each sub groups of kurds wont be able to have countries of their own so they inject in each sub group this kind of nationalism not to give them a country but only to make all kurds hate each other so we become more manageable for Persians to control and eventually eliminate our identity as Kurds.

I wanted to reach out to our brothers and sisters from the other 3 parts of kurdistan and the kurds of diaspora so you know about this and try to speak about it on your platforms and be aware of this danger of persian/Iranshahri nationalists. I genuinely believe all the different minorities will miss the IRI if these people take over once again. If you want to understand them better you can compare them to Turkey's policies toward kurds. This will help you understand them quickly if you dont know about the Iranshahr ideology.

If you want to know extensively about this idiology you can look into a guy called Seyyed Javad Tabataba'i who is one of the most important Iranshahrism followers.

Her tim sax bin hevalno.

Slaw everyone,

I created ESL Kurd as a completely free resource for anyone learning English or Kurdish Sorani.

By all means this is not an academy, subscription funnel, AI-slop project, or Duolingo knockoff. Most of the app was built manually throughout the years working on this. I released a version in 2021 that did good but was very limited. This new update I worked on manually myself including the vocabulary content and audio recordings (my own voice). AI was only used as a supporting tool in certain areas.

The app includes 5,000+ illustrated words, native audio, translation tools, bilingual definitions, quizzes, memory games, and sentence activities. It is still improving, so honest feedback and feature suggestions are welcome.

Available on both ios and Android

Same post on twitter being linked

In light of Ari's amazing and crazy discovery about another possible and likely etymology for the ethnonym Kurd and earlier tribal name Kurti- (Cyrtii) I will in near future also post my own etymology for the term Kurd that I came up with many years ago and that had been the ONLY possible solution to this question BEFORE Ari discovered all of this.

I am NOT saying his etymology is wrong, his etymology may very well be more likely and tighter than my own - but it has been a wasted chance that I wouldn't find myself to present my etymology more properly and illustratively in all this time which is why I shall still do exactly that.

As for my opinion to his etymology: On the first look and on the surface it looks neat and matching and simply making sense. For a deeper analysis I will have to take some more time to investigate a lot of words and sounds and shifts if not even whole dictionaries of the rather small corpuses of languages and words (from before New Iranic) all throughout Proto-Iranic, Old Iranic, Middle Iranic, New Iranic, Western and Eastern Iranic and even to some degree Old Indo-Aryan (Sanskrit).

Unfortunately, I will only be able to do that in the coming weeks. Sometimes, to verify or dismiss a single detail, a good amount of research has to be done...

Here you can find an earlier form of my etymology for the ethnonym Kurd:

Trivia

I made this post on twitter today and linked my first post on reddit about the etymology of our ethnonym "Kurd" from 6 and a half years ago and afterwards I saw that it is my cake day - 8 years later! I remember the day I created my account because we were celebrating Jazhni Xāwandakār with other people and I was picking a name for my reddit account and decided for the name "sheerwaan" after deleting one or two other possibilities.

Fun fact: Kurdish topics were only a secondary reason why I created an account and came onto reddit as a user.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post stuff like this here. However I want to warn people. I paid them over 1000$ and then an additional 350$ for a simple visa application, pluss some documents. They dont know what they are doing. They give you misinformation, they mislead you and they dont take responsibility. They just blame everyone else. They even blamed an embassy, and i checked the information on the embassy website and the embassy has had that system for years, yet they never tried to read it... When confronted they are rude. Even a simple question they can't answer. They know how to lie so it all makes sense.

I hope people stay away from them, I hope no one else gets scammed like me.

Edit: I even paid them 150$ to retrieve some documents from Jordan to Duhok through courier and DHL, today they forgot who i was and forgot that I even asked them to do it. My documents have been In Jordan for 2 weeks now...
