What handheld to get ? I would’ve gone for the switch 2 easily if not for the games that I play on my phone and want to play weren’t there ..
Budget: $ non-restrictive
• Primary games / platforms: Where Winds Meet , Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves , Marvel and DC games .. (mainly want to replace playing on my phone .. portability matters the most hence a hand held)
• Where I'll play (home, commute, travel, docked, etc.): home , travel , commute
• Must have / don't want: miss the psp and psvita vibe
• OS preference (Nintendo / Windows / SteamOS / no preference): no preference
• Comfortable with tinkering? (Yes / No) : no
• Other details (portability, local co-op, OLED, etc.): screen is kind of the second important thing after portability, and ergonomics would be nice too

Steam Deck vs ROG Ally Z1E for WoW, backlog, and occasional TV play?
Hey guys,
Torn between getting a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme and could use some real-world input.
I’m looking for something comfortable to play in bed or on the couch without killing my wrists. Battery life is also a factor—I know neither lasts forever, but I really don't want to be glued to an outlet 24/7.
Mostly planning to play:
Steam backlog (Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, Street Fighter 6, Diablo 4, PoE)
Emulation and random PC ports
World of Warcraft (big priority—curious how ConsolePort feels on both, especially Deck's trackpads vs Ally's extra power and native Battle.net)
I also want to dock it to the TV every now and then to play with a controller from the couch, Switch-style.
The Deck seems way better for comfort, battery efficiency on lighter stuff, and the trackpads seem clutch for WoW. But the Ally’s performance and 1080p for TV play look great, even though the battery and navigating Windows without trackpads worry me.
For anyone who plays WoW or a similar mix of games, which one did you end up keeping? Are either of them actually worth it?

Is anyone here using a handheld as their primary gaming device instead of a traditional console or gaming PC?

I'm curious about people who use a handheld gaming PC as their main gaming device, whether that's a Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, MSI Claw, or something else.
If a handheld is your primary gaming device, I'd love to hear about your experience.
\- Which handheld do you own, and what made you choose it over a traditional console or desktop gaming PC?
\- Is it powerful enough to run the games you want to play, particularly demanding AAA games?
\- How do you feel about the graphics, performance, and visual quality compared to playing on a PS5, Xbox Series X, or gaming PC?
\- Do you play primarily handheld, or do you connect it to a monitor or TV sometimes?
\- Have you run into any games you really wanted to play but couldn't run well, or at all?
\- Do you regret making a handheld your primary gaming device, or would you make the same decision again?
I'm especially interested in people who use their handheld as their main gaming platform and play demanding, modern games, rather than people who primarily use it for indie games or as a secondary device.
I'm considering making the switch myself, so I'd appreciate honest opinions about the compromises, benefits, and whether it's genuinely viable as your main gaming device long term.

Which Handheld for WoW Forever?
I’m looking for a suitable handheld gaming device to play WoW Forever. I genuinely don’t need it to do anything other than run this one game.
It would be great if I could occasionally connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, as well as hook it up to a larger monitor via cable.
My requirements are pretty simple: play WoW Forever on the go and occasionally use it as a desktop setup with a bigger screen.
Which handheld would be best for me?
Steam Deck OLED
Lenovo Legion Go (Z1 Extreme)
ASUS ROG Ally
I’d really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences!
Just a dad gamer here who’s a bit out of touch with modern computers and handheld gaming devices. 😅

Steam Deck / Handheld Compatibility Test | Feedback Requested
We just put out our Demo at Steam Next Fest, and have Gamepad support-but we're a super small team and can't quite arrange to get it tested for Steam Deck compatibility. I was hoping someone might be able to give it a try, and provide some feedback. Here is the game.

Should I buy the Z13 flow 32gb(2025) or Oxp3 32gb(2026)
I am currently stuck picking between the two,
I can only shop on Amazon since both devices websites do not ship to my location.
Z13flow is on sale for $2030 and the OneXplayer 3 is selling at $2149
I'm looking for something to replace my rog ally z1e, I'm always on the go and want the best device if I'm gonna pay that price.
I have a few questions
1) is the oxp3 portable that much better?
2) how long can I play on battery from both devices
3) Is spending more for a less powerful device worth it for portability?
4) whats the better device for the next 4 years
I would really like to know what would you do if u had to pick between the too. Thanks

Should I keep my RP Mini V2 or trade up? + game recommendations
Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Retroid Pocket Mini V2, and I honestly love the device itself. The build quality, glass front, screen, size, and overall feel are awesome. I really like how pocketable it is, and I love the original Mini design.
My problem is that I’m struggling to find games that really suit it, and I’ve started wondering whether I should keep it or trade it toward something else.
My current setup is an RP Mini V2, a Legion Go for PC gaming, a Miyoo Mini Plus for simpler retro stuff, and a couple of DS/3DS systems. I’m trying to figure out what role the Mini should fill without having too much overlap between my devices.
I’ve been looking at potential upgrades, particularly the RP Nova, RP6, Flip 2, and possibly other handhelds. The Nova interests me because of its larger screen and the possibility of being a better fit for GameCube, PS2, Android, and widescreen games. However, I’m not sure whether it would be worth trading my Mini for one, especially since I genuinely like the Mini’s size and design.
I also have a Legion Go, which I love for PC gaming, but sometimes I wish I had something smaller and more convenient for quick sessions. I like games that I can jump into without committing hours at a time, so I’m interested in whether there are good ways to play Steam games on a smaller handheld. I’ve considered streaming from my Legion Go, but I’m also curious about Android ports, game streaming options, and what games actually work well on the Mini itself.
Longer term, I love the idea of a smaller “Legion Mini” or Steam Deck Mini, but I don’t know whether it makes sense to wait for something like that when it might not happen anytime soon.
I’d love some advice on a few things:
Game recommendations: What games would you recommend for the RP Mini V2? I like games that are fun to pick up and play without requiring a huge time commitment. I’m interested in GBA, PS1, DS, some GameCube/PS2, and Android games. I’d especially appreciate games that feel great on a small screen.
Steam and PC games: What Steam games work particularly well for short sessions on a handheld? Are there any good options for streaming games from my Legion Go to the Mini, or Android games that scratch that same itch?
Keep or trade? Would you keep the Mini or trade it toward something like the Nova or RP6? I don’t want to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading.
Is the Nova worth considering? Would its bigger screen and extra room for widescreen games make a meaningful difference, or would it overlap too much with my Legion Go?
Wait for a smaller PC handheld? Is it worth holding out for a genuinely compact PC handheld, or should I just enjoy the devices I already have?
I’m not trying to collect handhelds endlessly or spend a ton more money. I just want to find games I’ll actually enjoy and figure out which device makes the most sense for me.
Thanks!
