9 / 10 Impulse buy

In a moment of weakness I got this. I live alone and have no need or business having an entire pie hanging around.

I rationalized either it would suck and I would give it a toss or I could hand off the rest to friends.

It doesn’t suck and I will absolutely eat the whole thing.

Best store bought chocolate pie ever.

Just a tribute to a frozen entree that has never failed me. Want a snack? Eat one. Hungry? Eat two. I upped it with Serrano hot sauce, sour cream, and a certain latchkey kid ingredient.

The only thing that would make these better is if they were actually homemade. Honestly, this is probably the best frozen meal out there. I just wish they still sold them one in a box, not only two in a box. Anyway, I have been eating these for over 25 years and they still hit. Full of meat, full of flavor, full of just the right amount of seasoning. And they smell soooo good. I prepared mine in the oven, took about 50 mins, but the microwave works ok too (16 mins).

9 / 10 The king of cheap frozen pizzas

Just fantastic. It had a lot of toppings and they were nicely distributed. The crust was nice and crispy, I cooked it on a pizza stone at 400° for 25 minutes, because I like my pizza a bit more well-done. My only minor grievance is that, for me, the sausage and pepperoni flavor kind of overpowered the other toppings, I would have like more flavor and texture from the veggie toppings. I paid $3.99, marked down from $5.49, which I think is a great deal.

Big fan of Bettergoods and grabbed this the second I saw it. You get 5 in the bag for $10. Air fried this and while the breading is on the lighter side still plenty of crunch. I’ve had two with no funny tasting bites and I can’t wait to have another. Highly recommend.

Everyone seemed to really like this brand so I decided to finally try it. The little scoop of rice on the side was funny to me. Cooked in the microwave, I put some shredded cheddar on everything and then a bit of sour cream & Tapatio on the enchiladas and it was a great meal.

I bought these some time ago and was originally air frying them. They were fine out of the air fryer, but the breading wasn’t super crunchy and the breading wasn’t that nice golden brown tint that would’ve reminded me of the nuggets from McDonalds.

I deep fried them in Canola Oil at 375F for 4m 30s this time and you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between these and a McNugget. Not bad at $9 for 54 nuggets.

Really happy with these. They’re not large by any means which is why they’re only 190 calories. But I like having a few different items for lunch. The spicy chicken melt had a nice kick as well. I added a little bit of Ketchup to each bite given it just has cheese and probably would’ve been a little dry. I plan to have these in the freezer as a “healthy” alternative to wanting late night drunk pizza

One of my faves. I get at least one, if not two, each time we shop. Great value, especially when on sale. This was prepared on the stove top instead of oven. I cut a piece of one of the chicken patties off & ate it in the second pic.The sauce is plain, as are the chicken patties. But, it is good ! I can easily make 6 filling sandwiches out of a box of these. Or mix some with pasta & homemade sauce. Not as fancy as stouffers, but not as minimalist as Banquet or Swanson dinners. It's somewhere in between with taste & pricing & it's great.

My go-to. Very good quality and taste. I especially love the stuffing with the gravy on top. The only reason it isn't a perfect 10/10 is because I feel there's a missed opportunity to give us a vegetable. If there was a vegetable, it would be a perfectly balanced meal. Sure, I can make my own vegetable side, but it would be nice to have everything in one complete package.

ETA: Yes, I received the recall notice in email but we had already eaten this product. This product was included in the recall but we did not become ill from it.

$6.36 at Walmart in Central NC.

This one cooked up so much better than the last pasta one I tried (the cellentani). The instructions are simple, only add oil and water. Another low spoons pasta dish that a responsible young person could fix easily.

The sauce turned out nice and thick. A little heavy on the lemon flavor but after the second or third bite, it wasn’t as noticeable. As with the other flavor, it says 4 1-cup servings but it really was just two servings for us.

Pics: front of package, back, side, frozen in pan, near the end of cooking, plated.

The deep dish and crispy crust is satisfying. Pepperoni and sausage are on point. I got it for $8.99 on sale. No more delivery for me. Try it, folks.

First time ever having this. You guys recommended it and it is great!! I'm used to the Kraft mac n cheese, the frozen box one. But this one is great! I doctored it up with some pepper. I love me some pepper on Mac n cheese. Will definitely get this again. Was tempted to get the Ultimate one but the reviews on here are bad for that one and I've never had this. Cheesy and delicious!

I’m mixing up my sports metaphors here but I decided to make some pizza for the Bears game and picked up two of these beauties at the supermarket for $5.99 each. I’m a huge Red Baron fan, but at that price, it’s hard to beat HRI.

Now hoping the Bears can live up to the lofty standards of the frozen pizza I ate while watching them play.

Baked directly on the oven rack for 17m at 450 as directed. Enjoyed with an Olipop, chopped caesar, and of course a side of ranch for dipping. Typical pizza pizazz includes red pepper flakes, cheap parm, garlic powder, and oregano. You should definitely try this pizza if you have not

Edit: I forgot to mention, this pizza is super satisfying. Frozen pizzas don't typically fill me up, but this one did the job

9 / 10 Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie

Nothing grinds my gears more than sticking a frozen meal in the oven and waiting 60 minutes just to eat something that tastes like a hot butthole.

Luckily, that didn't happen here. I finally tried Marie Callender's frozen chicken pot pie after reading some conflicting reviews on here about how they are no longer quality for the price, how Banquet is cheaper and tastier, and how Marie Callender's ruined that one lady's Thanksgiving.

I don't trust the mind control devices AKA microwaves, so I cranked the oven up to 400F and made sure to wrap the edges of the pie with aluminum foil, just like your grandma's hair at the salon.

I sat down to play some Borderlands and anxiously waited for the timer to go off after a brutal 65 minute wait. Once it did I carefully pulled it out, unwrapped the golden edges, and forked it like it was my job.

I'm impressed. The crust was flaky and delicious, the chunks of chicken are bigger than my hopes and dreams, and the filling is moister than that one lady in that meme.

It's very hot, like if a hot pocket and a pool of lava had a baby, but this is easily a 9/10. I took off a point for the heaps of peas and lack of potatoes. I know I know, potatoes in a pot pie sounds weird but that's how momma does it and that's how I like it.

Anyways if you're on the fence about these and worried Marie Callender's going to ruin your Thanksgiving this year, take a chance on her. She'll treat you right. Tell her I sent ya.

I have posted in a while because I hadn’t found anything worth post. But now I have something! These steak fingers are like chicken fried steak. It comes with a mix for the pepper gravy. They’re very easy 7 minutes in air fryer and a quick mix for the gravy. They are one of my go to’s when I want a quick meal.

I’ve been wanting to try this brand for so long. I prepared it in the oven, and overall it was really solid. Plenty of cheese and sauce for the enchiladas, and good flavor for the rice. 9/10.

I usually microwave them untill they're almost done then take them out of the sauce, put them on a sheet pan and brush sweet baby Ray's bbq sauce on them. They fit perfectly on mini french rolls! If you're a fan of McDonald's mcrib sandwich you definitely should try these out.

I love these hash browns. They cost around $.45 apiece, while McDonald’s charges $2.19 for one skinny hash brown. I cook mine in the air fryer extra crispy.
