How do you get a perfect play? I've asked this question before and assumed it could be a technical problem like my tv being out of sync or my controller not registering button presses (which is the case for 8 buttons), but since my last complaint it's abundantly clear it's 100% me apparently. Ask to wind is a perfect example as it was the song that made me buy the game when I played the demo years ago. I have that song MEMORIZED but sometimes it's just down to a millisecond. I've tried it at every speed, I've tried it with and without background and even each brightness. It's always just a little off. I've considered getting different controllers l, which I did through the years from ps4 to ps5, I've even considered learning how to make my own but that's not something within my knowledge or financial capabilities (at least for now). I have played other rhythm games and once you hit that perfect play the next ones come again and again, which in the case of my son who also plays has perfect played ask to wind tens of times now. What am I doing wrong and how do I get better?

After playing since Early Access and getting tired of waiting for official tools from the devs, here's my DJMAX Tracker.

It doesn't interact with the game at all, it only reads the screen, so there's no problem with the anti-cheat.
Analyzes songs from the song select screen (optional) and the result screen (no need to stay on it)
Saves everything to a database, so you get lots of data :D (I love numbers... and I really need to see where I can improve)
Lets you mark songs you want to train
Vertical/horizontal layout, fully rearrangeable
Webcam, key viewer and notes widgets included

DJMAX Ray might have some slight delay due to browser latency, but this will be fixed once the native Android and PS Vita versions are available. Please let me know if you run into any bugs!

Also, I'm still looking for more tracks for TapSonic, if anyone happens to have a backup saved somewhere, I'd really appreciate it if you could share it.

Im new to this game and vsrgs in general. I’ve been having a blast playing all the different game modes but freestyle is where I play mainly. (4 button btw) Occasionally I get interested in missions and at first they started off easy and were getting progressively harder but then they started introducing 5 and 6 button missions on like hard diffs and having accuracy requirements that were way too hard for my skill in 5B and 6B. Even the 4B missions got too hard for me. I just kept playing free style in 4B and seeing a lot of progress which I love and enjoy but I would like to beat a mission entirely eventually lol. So my question for the people who have finished missions is can you switch between 4B-8B on the fly to beat them. Are the skills transferable. I ask because I was playing in an online session and I asked this guy who was playing 8b how long it took for him to learn else than 4B and he said he doesn’t play 4B.

Steam deck seems to compress DJMAX Respect V to help with the size which makes the MV quality noticeably lower. Was wondering if there's anything that could be done to help get the original quality back.

So just decided to play but has been stuck on this never ending loop. I already tried verifying game files and I just played this game before I slept. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

i recently change my gpu from a r9 390 to a rtx 2060 super. i used to play at 240 fps stables but since that the game have a lot of frame drops and its really unconfortable to play. i cleaned all the driver and install the new one but i dont know if theres a thing i need to look at in the nvidia panel

I have been playing for 3 months however I don't even know how to get pp. I only know that every now and then the game give me a large amount of them, is there any way to get them now?

I'm collecting the PSP DJMax games, and I like to play back-ups of my discs from the memory stick because my main PSP has a faulty UMD drive. I know after Clazziquai they implemented more prominent copy protection, but I've heard the JP version of the game doesn't have this implemented (it also doesn't have LINK DISC functionality either sadly). Can anyone who has played these games on PSP and not emulator verify if this is true?

I know there's some differences between the two versions as well, I'm really just trying to get one that doesn't have any of the crazy copy protection bs. I've heard mixed things about BS being able to tell if it's being run from an ISO vs a UMD, it being able to delete/corrupt any and all DJMAX data on your card, to even deleting all data on your memory stick... These games are kinda niche among PSP gamers as a whole so I haven't been able to find much information about any of this stuff

EDIT 10/2026 this patch for ARK-4 and enabling UMD delay has gotten all DJMAX games on PSP working for me. I cannot verify for emulators or other CFWs but if anyone else is trying to get their backups working this way here it is

I started playing 3-4 month ago and tried to buy all the stuff but it never ends.

Since getting my Retroid Pocket 6 a few weeks ago I have been driving myself insane trying to get DJMAX Respect V to work. While I didn't have luck in GameNative or Armada OS, I am overjoyed to report that I now have it working flawlessly on my RP6 at over 100 fps. It is just an awesome experience to have DJMAX on a handheld again, especially because PPSSPP has so many issues with these games.

Here are my settings (huge big ups to cat3ars on GameHub; I used most of their settings). This should theoretically work on other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 handhelds:

Game lags hard when playing a map. It's really random when it starts to lag, but it begins in the middle of the first map that I play most of the time and then stays lagging forever.

I thought it might be connected to the most recent dnf upgrade, but downgrading everything nvidia related didn't fix it.

Any ideas?
