Coast’s most expensive hotel & restaurant offering musicians gigs for experience not payment…
They’re getting slammed by the locals in the comment section of the local Facebook page

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows of any local businesses around Berkeley Vale, Tuggerah or surrounding areas looking for workers?
I've been applying for around 6–8 jobs a day on SEEK but haven't had much luck so far, so I thought I'd try asking around here.
I'm not originally from the Central Coast and have only been living up here for about 8 months, so I don't really know many people or have many local connections yet. I know a lot of good job opportunities come through word of mouth, so I figured it was worth putting a post up.
I've got around 3.5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, including MIG and stick welding, as well as 1.5 years of TAFE completed towards a boilermaking apprenticeship.
I've also got experience in automotive detailing, paint correction and ceramic coatings. I hold a forklift licence, White Card and manual driver's licence.
Ideally, I'm looking for permanent full-time work with consistent hours. I'm open to welding, fabrication, trade assistant, workshop or other hands-on roles.
I'm reliable, hardworking and happy to learn new skills.
If anyone knows of any businesses hiring or somewhere worth contacting, I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers!

How about light rail system that runs from Gosford to Erina, up the Central Coast Highway, through Foresters Beach, Bateau Bay then down Wyong Road to Tuggerah, then a sneaky line down to Ourimbah, Lisarow, then Wyoming and back to Gosford. Rip out all roundabouts along the way just for fun. They did it in Sydney, Canberra, and Parramatta. It could be done here too. Who’s with me??!!

I'm planning a day trip to Sydney next week and was hoping to get some updated advice on the best place to park. I'm aiming to be there for an 0800 train, bow early do I need to get there to get a spot in one of the commuter car parks? Or if they're full, is there a safe on street option? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good acting/drama group or classes on the coast for adults (im 20)
Preferably one that accommodates to on screen and professional acting. Thanks 😊

Had a really good experience with Lanky Services recently. They came and picked up some old tyres for me, then came back later for an old battery and didn't even charge me for the extra pickup. Really helpful and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend them if anyone needs rubbish removed around the Central Coast.

Hi I’m 32 male from Newcastle Australia have had not the best experience when it comes to friends , had to get rid of my old friends due to me having bad experience due to bullying and toxic behaviour so it hurt a-lot and still haven’t recovered from what happened.
so few things about me is that:
- work in retail and done that for 5 years and got my job during Covid Lost 2 jobs just before Covid and got my job now.
- love the beach and love the water love to go to the beach and hang out and swim just sit there and enjoy the vibes.
- hobbies include:
-cooking, gaming , photography, hiking, music , movies binge watching tv shows, love building pcs.
- I’m double joined in my thumb haha
- half Aussie and half Italian
- family means a lot to me
what I also do is head to the gym when I can when I am not working , I have lost a bit of weight and wanna lose more but feel myself getting faster every time I’m there.
but most of all I want friends I can chat to when I have a bad day , I suffer from anxiety and depression and I have been finding it hard to make friends and all that after my previous experience with a friendship circle, but willing to give it another go.
so feel free to send a massage or just comment on this post and let’s get to know each other.

My 80 year old mum had a flat tyre last week on Weds evening, just near Aldi at Wyong. Many thanks to the young P plater in a red car who pulled over to help and waited with her until the NRMA arrived. She’s forgotten your name but not your kindness. Thank you!

Does this make sense to anyone? Just had this dropped on my doorstep.
Update: I posted this to a few Facebook local groups and someone was kind enough to reach out and let me know that they know the person who more likely left it. Apparently they are going through a really rough time in their life. and maybe borderline psychosis. They are going to reach out to them and try and get them some help.

Looking at a place here and wondering if it’s appropriate for a young family? Is it dodgy? I know there are a few parts of Wyong to avoid but things have changed.

Looking for ideas for 1st birthday. Would the reptile park be a waste of time? I’ve never been so not sure what its like.
Otherwise, anyone have any suggestions for a good outing for a 1 yr old on the Coast?
no family on the Coast so looking to do something fun instead

On the hunt for a new rental place, and I was considering checking out Wyong. I've heard that it's a bit rough but better than Gosford, and maybe okay if you avoid specific areas of it? But I'm not 100% sure if what I heard is correct or not, I'm not originally from here and this is just vaguely pieced together. So I thought I'd ask.
I mean it's near a couple key things I need (including a hospital and okay public transport; I have chronic health issues so I feel better living not too far from an ER just in case, and need okay bus/train service since I'm not always up to driving). And unlike places like Tuggerah, there seem to be a fair number of listings for rentals... I don't mind if it's not the shmanciest, as long as it's reasonably safe?
So guys, what's it like living in Wyong these days?

Hey! We’re currently staying up on the central coast at a family member’s house and I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere within an hour of Gosford that would be great to take my city kids to see the stars 😄
Thanks in advance!

This one’s for the synth nerds!
A small group of us are into synths and modular gear, and we’re planning to kick off a regular
get-together in a local communal space we have access to in Copacabana.
Bring your case, semi-modular, groovebox, or whatever you've got. Patch a few things together, jam, experiment, make some questionable sounds and see where it goes.
Any experience levels welcome!
Respond here or DM for more details.
