The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to add extra fire power and goal scoring to their forward corps and GM Kyle Davidson is scouring the NHL in hopes of bringing in some outside help.
With just over $2.7 million in current salary cap space, Davidson has some flexibility to add to his roster, but any major move would likely result in at least one roster player being shipped out of town.
During his weekly “DFO Live” appearance on Wednesday, TFP’s David Pagnotta reported the Blackhawks are among several teams searching for some more offence.
According to Pagnotta, the Blackhawks have spoken with the Washington Capitals about forward Ivan Miroshnichenko, whom is actively being shopped by the Caps, though a number of other teams, like the Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames and Seattle Kraken, are also believed to have interest.
It is unclear what pieces the Blackhawks are willing to part with in order to upgrade their roster, though names like Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore and Kevin Korchinski have popped up in trade speculation this week.
