Photo/Video Whistler is not what it was
So I bought a 5 day edge card which has black days. A buddy who’s got a season pass just asked if I want to go on Monday so I thought I’d check it out. Apparently I can’t upgrade my edge card but I can get 15% off a day ticket. Here’s how much a day ticket is.
Vail, me now: SUCK. MY. BALLS.

Photo/Video Skill issue 🤣
This review was from a day ago. I just spent 3 days there this weekend and had some of the most fun skiing of my life with 4 of my friends. This review is so inaccurate and subjective and just screams of an entitled deflection of responsibility 😆

Photo/Video Blackcomb Glacier Entrance
What on earth was going on up there today. To add to the madness I saw someone being rope lifted off the remaining entrance to Blowhole as I arrived.

This old sign might be falling apart, but it made for a nice “accidental” picture frame.

Photo/Video EHB tax on restaurant bill
I didn't see it until after we paid. I wasn't going to confront the waitress, she's not responsible for this.
Are we just cool with this? Tourists likely won't care. I know it's come up on here earlier this year, but I find it shocking that no one seems to mention it in their reviews?
There are 0 good reasons to do this. It's 1.5%, just build it into your menu prices.
Oh, I only checked the receipt after my partner mentioned they charged $2 for a soda refill which was 75% ice.
No mention of this on their menu. It is on their website though but you'd purposely have to find it and click on it to see their "policy".

Photo/Video Whistler posting AI-generated images?
I noticed that this "poster" that got posted on the Whistler-Blackcomb Instagram story looks very much AI-generated. Am I crazy?

Photo/Video Fall colours just outside Whistler
Was visiting Whistler and Pemberton this long weekend and the fall colours on the sea to sky were popping. This one was taken in Pemberton. It’s a great time to go road tripping- either north on the sea to sky or east on highway 1/3/5. Whats your favourite drive outside the city to see fall colours?

Photo/Video 2026-2027 Season as Pricing Released - Epic vs Whistler Only
Quick glance it looks like:
- Epic Adult prices are up about USD$30 (~$40)
- New 18-30 prices - 20% cheaper vs Adult
- WB Locals Pass is the same amount of as last year..
The thing is.... (today, at least).
- USD $1089 is $1,489 so a WB Only Pass is $60 more expensive than a full Epic
- There is no local 18-30 Pass either (which, presumably, would also be more expensive anyway
Seems weird that you pay more for way less to get a local season pass. Anyone know the context on why it's like this?

Photo/Video Grizzly Bear in Whistler today
Grizzly wandering around neighbourhoods north of the village.
We don’t see Grizzlies this close to homes very often, and they are far more aggressive than black bears. Be alert on your walks and bike rides today

Photo/Video Iconic experiences getting the Vail treatment
Did I get bigger or did this get smaller?
Seriously Vail, like c’mon. How many millions do you think you’ll save by charging $6 for a SMALLer hot chocolate and $9 for a smaller freaking bun at Chic Pea, and $17 for a freaking smaller waffle at Crystal Hut?
You’re having a shitty fiscal year I get it, but you have out priced the locals and taken away fond memories. Who in hell would want to pay a $1000 pass or $300 day pass to be treated like this?
