Offseason Predictions!
With the World Series potentially ending tonight, and the rumors that November could be very busy as teams try to make moves before the lockout in December, thought it would be fun to try to make some guesses about who the team will bring in.
Here are mine - separated into ranks of happy I would be with each signing:
Corner OF
Very Happy: Seiya Suzuki
Very Happy but Nervous: Sato, Taylor Ward
Excited but it could go south fast: Randy, Jake Bauers
Trust Ross: Ian Happ
Solid Hitter but there better be anther move coming: Lane Thomas, Tyrone Taylor
God No: Trent Grisham
Who I think they will actually sign: Taylor Ward betting he has a big bounceback
Middle Infield
Very Happy: Jeremy Pena
Very Happy but Nervous: Jazz Chisholm, Trade for Ketel Marte, Brandon Lowe
Kind of Fun as long as we spend on OF: Trade for either Bryson Stott, Xavier Edwards
Trust Ross: Gleybar Torres, Luis Arraez
Doesn't Do it for me but maybe could be talked into it: JP Crawford
Not for me: Dubon
Who I think they will actually sign: None, I think Josh Smith will be the "addition" but if they sign someone, I think it might be JP Crawford
Starting Pitcher
Oh Hell Yeah: Morejon converted to a starter
Happy but at what cost: Skubal
Very Happy: Michael King, Freddy Peralta, Sonny Gray, Clay Holmes
Ballsy: Kaima Taira, Kris Bubic
Sure: Itoh, Guasman, Trevor Roger, Casey Mize, Mahle
Fine, as long as we spent the savings on hitting: Bieber, Foster Griffin, Shota Imanaga
Trust Ross: Dustin May
Who I think they will actually sign: Itoh
Reliever
Oh Hell Yeah: Morejon
Pretty Pumped: Gregory Soto, Alex Vesia, Evan Philips
Doesn't make sense but fuck the Yankees: David Bednar
Doesn't make sense but fuck it: Raisel Iglesias
Sure: Sean Newcomb, Kevin Ginkel, Jonathan Loáisiga, Paul Blackburn
Who I think they will actually sign: if we don't trade for someone, I'm going to say Vesia
Bonus Prediction: Blue Jays Trade for Jacob Young
