Just a couple years ago Steam Next Fest events were a great moment to discover your next game. You probably ended up adding more than a handful of games to your wishlist. You truly discovered games that otherwise wouldn't even know of their existence.
Now? You'd have a better chance buying a lottery ticket and winning than getting to discover a good game demo.
You gotta start digging among literally THOUSANDS of AI slop "games" to find anything wortwhile. And at this point, what's actually the point of Next Fest?

I’m seriously convinced that all the positive reviews and posts about DLSS5 are created by AI bots to “whitewash” Nvideo’s reputation..

Hadn't logged into Steam in 10 years.
Came back, and the first thing on the profile is a ban I got at 15. Deserved it then.
Just didn't expect it to still be the headline.
Is there not an option for "Yes, AI done did all the things."

I feel like this feature is extremely underrated. It really lets you track exactly how users responded to the game at launch and at different events (patches, upgrades). Its like the only actual democratic place where people can share exactly how they feel about entertainment, instead of being forced to like it.

I just gifted him these.
I just heard him yell WTF?!
I don't want to alarm anybody, but I think he's here in the comments
This question was probably asked before, but how?
I love Steam, I do have reasons to make this my main platform that I regularly invest my money on it and I believe that these same reasons would be yours too. On the other hand, as much as the quality of the service is exceptional I think the gaming industry includes selective and stubborn people all over the place. So for me is logical to think that Steam, as good as it is, would have a very hard time attracting fresh public, but as you see in the image, this appears to not be the case.

Yes, I’m not joking. My Steam library is something very personal to me, it’s literally a collection of who I am as a person, the things that I’ve played and enjoyed ect.
I unironically believe we should be allowed to leave our Steam accounts with our password and login info so that it helps people grieve and bring back postive memories.

So Steam has finally started pushing the Australian age verification requirements, and now I can’t buy games without going through age verification.
I already know this is because of the new Australian laws, but seriously, having to verify my age just to purchase a game I want is ridiculous. I’ve been using Steam for years, and suddenly I’m being blocked from buying games because of this.
I understand the law is being implemented, but this whole system is such a pain in the ass for something as simple as buying a game.
