Is Marampa Mines going to behave like London Mining?
I see that MML is "temporarily" stopping operations at Lunsar. Before the Ebola crisis, i was peripheral to a couple of discussions on the local content policy, and the "growth pole model" which led me to interact with some people from London Mining and a few of the communities around Lunsar. The way London Mining behaved when they closed did not seem very ethical (i don't know about the legality). So now that MML are pausing activities, the worry is that the same thing might happen again. I see in a lot of reports on Court Cases people using the deeds of a property as surety- so I wondered whether MML might like to put up the deeds for the beach front property (about 3 ha) at Tokeh as a sign of good faith that they are not going to act like London Mining?
