Health recommendations shame free dentist in kuching

Title. Sorry for throwaway account.

Basically had bad depression 10 years ago, completely let go of myself. kind of bounced back and have gotten off meds about 6 years ago, and since then completed studies, have a decent full time job, and getting in shape. but istill have teeth in the back completely let rot away from back in the depression days and just ignored the pain back then.very self conscious about opening my mouth or smiling too widely now. i can afford private care for this but are dentists generally understanding? is this something i need to worry about?

Health Anyone managed to get a government dental clinic appointment in Kuching?

So here's the thing: I remember I could walk into any government dental clinic during my schooling years, but now it's all appointment-based. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I called the Batu Kawa dental clinic, and they mentioned all appointments must be done through the mysejahtera app. I tried securing an appointment since last month but to no avail, not even one slot is available.

I originally wanted to do a general checkup and scaling.

And I recently tried waiting till 12am hoping that the system would refresh and an available slot would appear but nothing not even one slot.

Also now, I find my gums swollen, and I suspect it's an impacted wisdom tooth.

And before anyone suggests a private dental clinic, no, I don't have the finances to do so.

Therefore, I really do need advices on how to get an appointment or, can I just walk in.

Updates:

1.)I walked into the Batu Kawa dental clinic yesterday, and they had a small piece of paper to fill in.

2.) The counter had an appointment and walk-in section.

3.)They only accept card/paywave only.

4.)It was a pleasant experience.

5.)The dentist will set up the next appointment for follow-up if necessary

Health Hospital Umum Sarawak

Every time I step into Hospital Umum Sarawak, I am overwhelmed with a deep sense of sadness and helplessness. What should be a place of healing, hope, and recovery often feels like a place where all that remains is the weight of despair. It’s hard to ignore the reality patients are left waiting for hours, sometimes days, for care that feels distant, as if they are just another number in a system that can no longer keep up with its needs.

I see it in the eyes of those who sit there, weary, with nothing but hope and prayer in their hearts. Many are the poor, the elderly, the sick, who cannot afford private hospitals and have no other choice but to place their trust in a system that feels increasingly broken. It’s not just the lack of resources or overcrowded conditions there’s a deeper issue at play.

Where is the problem management? Why does it feel like the system has no clear plan for addressing the growing needs of its people? It’s painful to realize that in a time when medical advancements are making strides across the world, we are still struggling with the basics. The world has moved forward, but our healthcare system seems to be stuck in a place where solutions are few, and the people who need them the most are left behind.

Medical advancements should be a promise for better treatment, quicker recovery, and a brighter future. But here, that promise feels like a distant dream. Technology and treatment should be accessible to all, not just those who can afford it. The lack of innovation, the outdated equipment, and the shortage of skilled personnel all add to the frustration that each visit brings. How long can a system like this continue to fail those who rely on it the most?

I pray for change, for those in positions of power to take a hard look at the reality that is unfolding before them. This isn’t just about infrastructure or medical equipment it’s about lives, families, and futures that are hanging in the balance. People are not just seeking treatment; they are seeking dignity, care, and the promise that their health matters.

In the face of all this, the hope that people cling to is almost unbearable. We cannot ignore the cries of the people any longer. We need action, we need advancement, and we need a system that works not just for the privileged few, but for all who depend on it. The future of Sarawak’s healthcare depends on it. The future of our people depends on it.

Health Sarawak mahu kuasa sendiri lantik doktor

Thumbnail tvsarawak.my

Morning Monday, Sarawakians!
Just found out DBKU and MBKS run these awesome activities in Kuching twice a month. NGL, I’m not from Kuching so I didn’t even know this was a thing. Planning to join whenever it’s on.

For those who’ve done the morning walk before, where do you usually park? And from where does the road closure start? Any tips for the best parking spot? TQ!

Health Piasau Nature Reserve, Miri

Hello org Miri.

Just wanna ask if people still jog at the Piasau Reserve? Last I ran there was a couple years ago. Since I came back to Miri, a friend told me it's a bit more mafan to go there now, gotta register to enter/park all that etc? And that there's more monkeys now and it's quite dangerous? I usually jog alone too, no buddy so am quite worried. But I really love running there, I love all the trees and greens, and the air is so much fresher. 🄹

I just don't wanna get ready siap siap drive all the way there and not able to jog and have to waste sunlight while stuck in the after work jam to go somewhere else like Bulatan Park/Marina. Or worse get attacked by a family of monkeys. 😭 The last time I ran there already like macam very few people go there dah. It'd be scary to run alone there. Thought I'd ask here first.

Health Gleneagles Hospital presence in Kuching will harm Timberland to decline

Due to congestion of Pontianak visitors in Timberland Medical Centre in Kuching, Gleneagles's presence will ultimately forcing Timberland Medical Centre popularity to decline and Gleneagles will soar and also TMC will follow same fate as Normah.

Again the drugstore in TMC also congested the stupid queue.

Thoughts on that?
