Article about Colin Bell as well, nice light reading!

And the cover photo is Gordon Banks climbing over someone (any ideas?) and that's Colin Bell looking on (based on the moptop and #8!)

I love these finds for the idiots online who think City have no history.

Excellent work Agent Berrada and Agent Wilcox. The sabotage mission at Man Divided is going perfectly. Consistently making the wrong decisions at that football club and looking incompetent, that's exactly what we paid you for. Keep up the good work lads.

Does Erling Haaland only score against smaller teams? A small comparison with all time greats

All these accusations that are levelled against Haaland about him only scoring against smaller teams needed to be examined. And acc to this video He is the only one who does not get affected by who he is playing against. Pretty Awesome if you ask me.

There has been a lot of discussion about Man City’s defense in recent games, but what is actually our strongest back four?

Official [EFL Cup Press Conference] The gaffer speaks ahead of double-fixture clash with Brighton 👊

  • Overall squad update and preparation - Geronimo Rulli starting in goal in the EFL cup:

“After Villa, we gave five players three days off. Erling, Elliot, Gigio, Ruben and Josko. Go away on holiday. Three days off, go, come back. Full energy.

“In terms of how we plan, they [the games] are so close so we need to make some changes.

“We have one more session and then we decide for tomorrow.”

“First of all, they are doing very well so both games will be tough,”

“They are very brave, aggressive and when they have the ball they attack with so many players.

“They create so many chances. We need to do the right things offensively and defensively.”

“Yes [Rulli will play tomorrow],”

“He’s good. Before I arrived here, I had a conversation with him, he knows his role and that’s important.

“Day by day he is helping a lot. When he has played, he was good and tomorrow he will play again."

  • Maresca speaks on Guéhi and Donnarumma's form, Lewis' and Aït-Nouri's roles:

- Maresca on Marc Guéhi:

“I’m completely, especially in this moment, happy with Marc,”

“The way he reacted was fantastic. He is a top guy, a leader, one of the captains and I love Marc to be honest.

“When they make some mistakes, they recognise. Marc is aware now.

“He’s played all minutes since the start of the season with us and the international team. In the last two weeks he didn’t play Champions League game, he played 45 minutes the other day so he’s completely okay.”

- Maresca on Donnarumma:

"When a football player or manager don't get results or make some mistakes, it's normal that it [criticism] is a consequence.

"Gigio, I think, since we started has done well. It's part of the season, they're playing so many games, so many minutes that sometimes it's almost impossible to not make a mistake.

"He's quite a strong guy. He knows anyway that when he makes some mistake, he doesn't need us to tell him that was a mistake. He recognises that and it's part of the game."

- Maresca on academy lad Rico Lewis:

“He can play both [defensively and going forward],” [said Maresca when asked about which role he favours for Lewis]

“In this moment, we have Nunes that has the injury so Lewis was good in the second half against Villa.

“He can play full-back or midfield, it depends where we need him.”

- Maresca on Rayan Aït-Nouri:

"He is a full-back, in that position we have Abdukodir Khusanov, who is doing fantastic and we have Nico O'Reilly, when he is fit, he is fantastic.

Ait-Nouri is in the same position so it is a competition between them."

Haaland deserves a ballon d’or soon

I was just looking back through the past 5 years top 10, he arguably deserved it in 2023, he’s been in the top 10 3 out of 5 years. I hope he can do enough to earn one in the next few years, deserves to have one.

Paragraph 109 of the PL verdict could be hugely significant for City's appeal

One detail I haven't seen anyone discussing is paragraph 109 of the PL verdict, where the commission explicitly states:

"In such circumstances it is unrealistic to wholly compartmentalise each Charge, and we did not do so when reaching our Decision"

In other words they are stating that findings of misconduct on one charge influenced its assessment of others.

If City successfully overturns even just one major finding on appeal, particularly the disguised sponsorship allegations, it could create a domino effect across the verdict. The commission has effectively acknowledged that its conclusions were not reached entirely independently of one another.

This could be a huge boost for City's appeal.
