The extended warranty for the Pixel 8 screen is a scam
I sent back my pixel 8 on september 28 for a screen repair.
Google pretended not receiving it for 14 days, then invented a "sensor problem" costing 170€, instead of repairing it for free, as it should be.
I asked for 8 days "what sensor, what problem?" for 8 days (the phone was perfect except the crappy screen).
They answered me the "rainbow" sensor, which does not exist on the pixel 8.
They never opened the phone, I tried to ask them for another week "we know the phone has no sensor issue, why don't you repair it like you should do?" The only answers I was given were:
-I can't help you
-somebody else is in charge
-we can only send back perfectly repaired phones (the last time they changed the screen, the phone was not water resistant anymore so let me doubt it)
-your case has already been escalated, please wait (even after they already sent it back)
They sent it back on october 24
So your pixel phone is under warranty, until you need to use that warranty.
They cheat, they lie and they don't care.
I'll never give google a single cent again.
So I guess I'll send it back to RMA every week until the end of warranty, I think it will cost them with UPS more than the 170€ they were trying to charge me, and I guess UPS need to work.
