Game Update Counter-Strike 2 Update for 10/28/2026

GAMEPLAY

Added an option to switch Silent Reload Mode between Hold and Toggle. With toggle enabled, once the silent reload starts you can let go of the reload button. To cancel a silent reload and go back to a fast reload, you can tap the reload button again.
Fixed various cases where the first sound of a reload was audible irrespective if a user requested a silent reload or not.

MISC

Fixed a bug where liquid could render as black on AMD video cards
Fixed some sound and UI bugs when rewinding during demo playback

Discussion | Esports Mouz breaks spirit (and donk)

Of the losses spirit suffered this season (after Cologne), it's either vs Mouz, or immediately after beaten by mouz. Only 1 loss isn't (vs betboom) and it was 2 losses after losing vs Mouz (they lost to Aurora in between). It doesn't matter who they faced, they would lose after being beaten by Mouz. And cherry on top, donk often performs like shit in those maps:

Discussion Valve leaked more info about the new weapon this update. "M14" now replaced with the "Lar" A Lever Action Rifle with Iron Sights.

m14 Name was likely a placeholder name or straight replaced with this gun.

Bunch of animations added here you can check with s2viewer. Makes this seem much more likely this is happening now that we have animations and models shown.

M14 was probably just a placeholder name, but the .vdata (weapon stats file) leak that also came out a month ago, actually line up with this new weapon. I made a big analysis of the gun stats in that leak here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1wo1gkm/m14_thoughts_from_a_weapon_data_nerd/ . Figured out it had a bullet by bullet reload system similar to a pump shotgun....... or a Lever Action apparently! The stats showed it also had a iron sight and 5 clip 5 bullets in reserve. Lines up with this gun. For Fallout New Vegas fans, think of the Cowboy Repeater with the reload system.

People will likely be able to pull these leaked animations / models to make better previews of the gun, so better video previews will likely be made in the coming hours / days.

No leaks on new weapon stats today, so I presume its still has the same stats to the m14 leak. But nothing is certain with valve and I hope valve eventually reworks the no leg armor / stomach 1.25X modifier that might be a complaint of this gun if stats stay the same as m14 leak.
