3.8k Upvotes

Update I guess I've been mass reported for posting these links over Reddit becuase they've suspended my account for "violating content policy". I've tried to appeal multiple times but they don't even reply. Please keep posting these links, now that Roe has been overturn we need them more than ever.

This is a list of resources I’m compiling for people who need an abortion. If you know of any other resource not listed here please let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

Please repost & share with as many people as possible in whichever platform you want (feel free to bookmark these sites, print out this list, write it down or take screenshots in case it gets deleted), so those who are denied access to safe abortion know there's help for them and how to access it ♡

Please beware of websites that sell fake abortion pills and fake clinics run by religious groups where they lie and spread misconceptions about abortion to trick people into keeping their fetus. They also promise help and resources that never materialize. The best way to avoid these fake clinics is learning how to recognize them, so I’m linking a couple of short documentaries on the subject that include hidden camera footage exposing their deceptive tactics:

Note- Some of these websites may be blocked in your country by your internet service provider. You can bypass this block using a VPN like this one, it's free, safe and easy to install. To get rid of banners and pop-ups you can install uBlock Origin and Popup Blocker. They work on most browsers, on phone as well on PC and it takes a few seconds to install them.

Why is Snapchat doing this on adverts for an app used primarily by kids and teenagers?

My cousin has Snapchat (13,F) and she’s sent me screenshots of the ads they have so I downloaded the app and sure enough - nothing but sexual, suggestive ads and even worse.. adverts where there is abuse and sa to women an female characters! When will this stop? Literally appalled. Ai and Snapchat knows what they’re doing but they’re influencing vulnerable minds and it’s pretty scary.

The more I learn about the male gaze/patriarchy in general, the more I see it everywhere - I'm constantly questioning if I'm reading into things that aren't there.

This ad - hair care - target audience presumably women - why does the tagline sound so suggestive/sexualised? "The longer you leave it in...the better it feels" - that's a tongue in cheek sex reference right? with SC looking seductively at the camera. Who is this appealing to? Why is a haircare ad feeling sexualised?

Am I thinking too deeply into this? I actually can't tell.

How do I call out teenagers?

There are a few boys in my class who have started to use “rape” as a slang word and metaphor (“teacher is gonna rape you for forgetting your homework” English is not our first language and using english words as slang is common although i’m not sure if they all know what it means). I’ve even heard a girl use it recently, and it disgusts me. The problem is, after getting bullied in the past, I’m scared to call them out. I know my social anxiety diagnosis is not something i should hide behind if i want to call myself a feminist, and I feel bad for staying silent. Another reason I’ve stayed quiet is, that even if i called them out directly, they’d most likely miss the point and just laugh. I’d really appreciate some advice on how to speak up.

The excuses and rationale his fans still make for him pisses me off

This dudes reddit page popped up across my feed and heavens forbid, why, just why are people trying to tie religion to him not facing any real consequences.

Now i do get why he still has fans, some claim its the music or his female fanbase parrots that he's changed.

Personally, i stopped following him after the whole assault on a certain popstar. But this isnt even about that, some even claiming he's protected!

Yeah hes protected because he's a money maker, he has a fanbase that will 'protect' him, he has connections.

Its most certainly not because of his religios beliefs, which i even doubt he has.

What makes you realize a guy is secretly a misogynist?

I have been thinking about the male friends I’ve had to this day and I could never keep a friendship with them, its either because they saw me as more than a friend or because they were misogynists. Usually the biggest sign that gives it away for me is their reaction to feminism. Their reaction to feminism is ignorant and they don’t see feminism as a serious ideology. Another really big sign is they always feel the need to mention mens issues if the topic being discussed is about women and womens issues.

How hypocritical can society be? And people still say there’s no need to fight patriarchy

I genuinely don’t understand how people can be so judgmental about a woman’s personal choices and still believe that women have equal rights and freedom.

Today, I was having lunch with two of my colleagues, who are quite conservative and judgmental. A woman walked past us, and they noticed that she wasn’t wearing any of the so-called symbols of marriage — no sindoor, no mangalsutra, etc.

And guess what followed? They started gossiping about whether she was divorced. They even asked another colleague who knew her whether she was divorced or not. When they found out that she wasn’t, their response was, “How forward the girl is!”

I was honestly baffled.

I told them that it was her choice whether she wanted to wear those things or not. She could be married and still choose not to wear a mangalsutra or sindoor. How does that affect anyone else? But all I got in return was a weird look.

And this is exactly why I believe we still need to talk about patriarchy.

Why is a woman's marital status expected to be visibly displayed on her body? Why are women expected to wear symbols of marriage, while men aren't subjected to the same expectations? What visible symbols are men expected to wear to prove that they're married? And why is a woman who chooses not to follow these traditions automatically labelled as “forward” or treated as if something is wrong with her?

More importantly, why do we feel entitled to question a woman's character, choices, or marital status simply because she doesn't conform to our expectations?

You can choose to wear sindoor, a mangalsutra, bangles, or whatever else holds meaning for you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But the freedom to follow a tradition also means having the freedom not to follow it.

The problem isn't the tradition itself. The problem is turning a personal choice into a social obligation and then judging women who don't comply.

And honestly, the irony is that people will argue that women have all the rights they deserve, but who exactly is deciding what women deserve? Who gets to decide how a married woman should dress, what she should wear, or how she should present herself to the world?

Equality isn't just about allowing women to make choices that society approves of. It's about allowing them to make choices that society doesn't understand, either.

A woman doesn't owe anyone proof of her marital status. She doesn't owe anyone an explanation for her choices. And she certainly doesn't need to dress a certain way to prove that she's a “good” wife.

I don't understand why this is so difficult for people to comprehend.

Am I overthinking this, or is this exactly the kind of everyday, normalised sexism that people conveniently ignore when they claim patriarchy no longer exists?

things i find misogynistic

I recently thought of this but whenever men refer to inanimate objects (such as cars), female pronouns are always used, "she's a beauty," "i just bought her," etc. Why is it never "it" or "he" ?? Why must the female pronoun be used for objects, its even normalized and nobody questions it because it's disguised as women being the "prize" or some bs like that

Looking for women to speak about their experiences with school uniform

Hi everyone! I hope this is okay to post here.

I'm a journalism MA student in London, and I'm currently working on an article about the sexualisation of school uniforms and a petition by the Little Feminist Book Club calling for a ban on school uniform imagery in pornography.

As part of my research, I'd really love to hear from women who have had uncomfortable or upsetting experiences related to wearing a school uniform, whether that's unwanted attention, sexual comments, harassment, or simply feeling sexualised or unsafe in something they were expected to wear at school.

I'd also love to hear from anyone who has thoughts or experiences they'd like to share about this topic. I'm genuinely interested in listening to people's stories and understanding how they feel about the issue.

I'm hoping to speak to a few people to help bring personal experiences and voices into the article. You can remain completely anonymous, and you don't have to share anything you're not comfortable with. I'm happy to explain more about the article and answer any questions before you decide whether you'd like to take part.

I know this can be a sensitive subject, so please don't feel any pressure to share personal experiences publicly. You can send me a private message if you'd prefer.

Thank you so much for reading, and for anyone willing to share their experiences with me. I'd really appreciate it! ❤️

Is this acceptable kid's clothing?

Post image

Found this at a female dedicated fashion shop in a mall at bangalore, I can't believe someone wrote this shit on a kid's t-shirt, Adults can wear whatever they want but this on a kid's T-shirt got me tripping, am I correct in stating this is unacceptable or am I biased/thinking too much? Cuz I never found issue with the shapes of clothing but the writing got me mad.

Every time a woman is sexually assaulted, society somehow finds an excuse to blame her — her clothes, her choices, her freedom.
Through my art, I want to challenge that mindset and start a conversation.
Instead of questioning her, why aren’t we questioning the people responsible?
Art may not change the world overnight, but I hope it can change a few minds. ❤️

Why are men turning more and more right wing misogynists

Hey everybody, im 16F, ive been having this question for some time

Why are males going more and more to the extreme right while females to the extreme left???

I cant search it up anywhere else because it just shows me men with the victim mentality and toddler ideology saying that women treat them "poorly", that they are "opressed by woman" and dumbasses with unfunny stickers, and so so so many misogynistic content over and over, the common sense and maturity we used to have disappeared and we are even making jokes about misogynistic serial killers and their victims (??)

Also the constant hatred for minorities, but in this post i wanted to know more about where the male vs female mentality is coming from

Thoughts on Debt: The First 5000 Years by David Graeber

Hi all, I started reading this book because I am in no way a finance person but interested in a view of debt/economics from a cultural perspective. I'm maybe 1/3 of the way through the book and what I did not expect was that (according to the book?) the concept of debt can be tied to the value of human life and most notably in several cultures, the value of a young girl's life (and reproductive capability).

Obviously, I'm not done reading the book, so not sure how the rest of this pans out, but I had to stop reading because it was bringing up a lot of negative feelings.

Anyways, just curious to see if anyone else has read this book, maybe finished it, what your thoughts are, is it worth finishing the book etc.

Thanks in advance <3
