Breaking the illusion for those curious: The only actual mod here are the camera position and replacement of icons. The actual animations shown are on a completely seperate overlay not tied to Deadlock at all; consisting of transparent videos simply bound to play when a certain key or mousebutton is pressed/held down. Essentially just Hotkey shortcuts but it plays a video when pressed. This is also why it's on top of the UI.

Shiv has been a huge balance problem for a while now- so I think it's time for a full rework.

This is my idea for it. In my opinion Shivs identity is as a defensive Frontline bruiser that can do great damage if you play his very technical style right- with some burst mobility added in there for extra swagger. This rework seeks to enhance those aspects of his kit- making his close range AoE and creep clear a lot better with a multi targeting short ranged electricity cannon (I thought that some kind of taser or shock ability made sense for a monster hunter) his dash a lot more versatile with some good vertical mobility and CC added in, and making him play into his identity as a big monkey or almost gorilla type character design a lot more with bringing his transformation from neon prime back in his ult.

I'm really proud of this, and I hope you guys also enjoy it :> I won't be posting this to the forums because I don't actually have a PC and wouldn't wanna play this fucking game even if I did.

Def tried to lean more into his Ocean origins. It will be in the notes above on the canvas, but one thing I always found interestin was that his weapon is called 'Deep sea interpreter', so I turned it into an old naval radio that he has dredged up and now carries on his back which connects to a little barrel hand gun!
Viscous is one of my fav characters and I can't wait for his proper remodel :)

The whole EU/RU merge has caused a lot of talk and while I dont mean this to be any sort of anti Russian post its not like the issue isnt real. Theres a ton of Russians who want to or can only speak Russian while majority on non Russian EU does not understand Russian.

The language barrier is just a fact and forcing people who dont share a language in the same team in a game that requires communication just isnt gonna magically fix that. I have no issues if some people want to communicate in Russian but why do I have to be forced into that as someone who does not understand or speak Russian and vice versa. Especially since atleast from my experience with the merge the queue time improvements have been marginal at best. Yet Dota 2 allready has a option to choose what language you wanna be matched with.

This will just improve matches for both Russians and non Russians. The people who want to speak English get teammates that speak English instead of ones that speak a language that they dont understand. And the Russian speakers get to match with other Russian speakers since I would assume that if one doesnt want to speak English to begin with theyd rather prefer teammates that speak and understand Russian.
