I had to miss the chys 2p10 midterm last week due to medical and personal reasons. I'm stressing about the midterm right now and i'm wondering to anyone who wrote last week on some advice on what to look for or expect. Was it easy or was it hard?

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

i missed my 8 am nursing midterm tdy and i don’t know what to do now, does anyone know what i can do or if i would even be able to write another one

Did ya'll survive? How cooked? Or did you cook?

I am thinking about the following program at brock as a premed path so i got few questions

-Biological Science:

1) Does this offer co-op

2)Is it more like plant biology or human biology? I was looking through the course calender and in Y2 and Y3 looks like Zoology and Plant?

-Biomedical Sciences

1) Co-op offer?

2) What happens in y4

-Kinesiology (BScKin)

1) Co-op? what is the difference between Co-op VS Practicum or internship?

2)IDK if it is good for premed?

-Medical Sciences

1)Co-op?

2)In y1 and y2 looks really interesting but hat happens in y3 and y4?

-Science

1)Co-op offer?

2)Ik that it is like you can customize your major so how much ppl like this path? Like can i take courses from Bio to neuro to chem?

This is more like a general question: All the above and biochem and the public health which ones are most preferred by pre-med students at Brock?

THANKS!!

I withdrew from the course after.

Hey everyone! I’m taking HIST 2P01 with Dr. Manitowabi at Brock, but I haven’t been able to attend the lectures.

Since the lecture slides aren’t posted, I was wondering how important the lectures are for the final exam.
For anyone who has taken this course before, is the final mostly based on the readings, or do you need to know specific things covered in lectures?

Would I be okay studying the readings and course materials, or should I try to get someone’s lecture notes?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you!

(The final is said to be a discussion take home exam if that helps)

what did people get?

Full respect to Brock's librarian (I sadly don't know her name, but I see her often, gray hair). Her knees must be killer bc if I was climbing 10 flights of stairs, all day every day, I'd ask for my own elevator 😅

Appreciate the work you do! 💪📖 🫶

I was out for a walk tonight when I found a dropped Brock Card and keychain at the bus stop next to the Goodman School. If you've lost your Brock Card I've turned it in to the service desk at Lowenberger.

Hey, I am really struggling this year, academically. I am in my 2nd year and it is so much different from last year. My courses are really heavy and I am only taking 4 of them. I work and take care of my family (clean, cook, and take care of my younger siblings). I honestly don’t know why I have been struggling so much because I go to class and always hand my assignments in on time but my midterm and quiz marks never translate with how much I think I study. I really don’t know what I am asking but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on doing better on the tests that are worth 20%+ of my grade!

I have to go to a wedding out of Canada and was wondering if you can still access it outside of the country or will it not work ? :) just wondering to plan accordingly

My partner is coming up and needs parking, I know you can pay the 14$ for 24 hours, does anyone have a good free spot to park? I can pay the 14 but would rather save a few bucks. Thanks!

I wanna know if it has exams, essays or both? Does anyone have the syllabus of the course???

Hi everyone
I recently missed a midterm and I’m waiting for my professor to schedule the makeup exam.
I was wondering how much notice do professors at Brock usually give before a makeup midterm? Do they normally let you know a few days in advance or can they email you just one day before?
I’m asking because I’ve had a professor in the past who only gave me one day’s notice for a makeup test and I’m worried that might happen again

Any tips? Anyone already wrote it last year? Im freaking out

Does anyone know if the midterm is defining a bunch of the content or if it’s very complex? Sorry I don’t really know how to phrase it. I know it’s multiple choice but I’m getting a lot of conflicting info about it on google.

I have an exam on Wednesday, but someone close to my family passed away, and their funeral is being held on Wednesday, and I have to travel back for it. Does anyone know what the steps are, or what I need to provide my professor for a case like this?

Computer science students need to take an online academic integrity class and I missed the one I signed up for due to the sickness of a family member. I checked today and I don’t see the option to sign up for another one. Idk what do or who to reach out too so I’m really freaking out on what to do please help

Hey everyone,

I'm currently a student planning to pursue a career in accounting, and I'm interested in Brock's BAcc program. I was wondering if anyone currently in the program or who has graduated could share their experience.

How difficult is the program overall, and would you say it's worth it?

I'm also curious about the math and statistics courses. Math has always been one of my weaker subjects, and I didn't take calculus in high school, so I'm a little concerned about how difficult those courses might be. How challenging are they for someone who isn't really strong in math?

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences you guys could share. Thanks!
