I’m from a middle-class family, and honestly, managing my tuition fees and living expenses in Dhaka has become really difficult for my family.
My father usually manages to cover my expenses, but I know how much pressure it puts on him. My mother also has responsibilities at home, and I have other siblings to consider. If I want to continue studying at BRAC University, my father has to bear almost all the financial burden, and I know it’s not easy for him.
That’s why I’m looking for a small part-time job near campus that could help me cover at least some of my living expenses. I don’t necessarily need to earn a lot, but even a little financial independence would make a real difference for both me and my family.
One thing I’d prefer is to keep this private from my friends and family for personal reasons. I’m specifically looking for an offline, in-person job that I can manage alongside my classes without affecting my studies.
If you’re a BRACU student who has been in a similar situation, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Are there any opportunities at nearby shops, cafés, restaurants, coaching centres, or other places that hire university students part-time? Where should I look, and what kind of pay can I realistically expect?
Any genuine suggestions or advice would mean a lot to me. Thank you.

Ofc hsc has more topics but which means better coverage but are most of it necessary for brac admissions?. Juggling multiple syllabuses is not easy and pretty stressfull so someone tell me

Anyone who came in the top 4 rank of eee/cse/maths and got a 100 percent, any advice or resources to share would be appreciated

I'm from Chittagong, I studied under the British curriculum. BracU website says For EEE that you need minimum c grade in maths and physics in A levels but I have D in physics. I met the minimum requirement for maths but not physics. So I emailed the BracU student support and asked about it for EEE they said you need minimum D in physics for engineering program. I was very happy but I emailed them again for confirmation but this timethey said I need minimum c grade in physics and maths in A levels.

1. So my question is are they flexible about it for the minimum requirements they only see the admission exam results and based on that accept the student ?

Or

1. After passing the exam they will ask my A levels results and if they see I didn't make the minimum requirements in physics for only 2% ( I got D grade not C 58%) they will not accept me ?

Or

1. They will be flexible about it for 2% btw I got A in 80% physics and 83% chemistry in O levels and 78% in maths in my O levels.

Feel free to leave as much info about it as you know. We all are pretty confused as they didn't tepl us much.

Hi everyone!

I completed my HSC in 2023, and I want to apply to BRAC University for the Spring 2027 semester. However, I called the admissions office, and they told me that I’m not eligible to apply because of my HSC passing year.

I really want to study at BRAC University, so I’d like to know if there is any way to get special permission or an exception to the eligibility requirements.

Has anyone faced a similar situation or successfully obtained special permission from the university? If so, could you please share your experience or suggest whom I should contact?

I would really appreciate any helpful advice. Thank you!

Hey yall. Has there been a date announced for this year's convocation? I just completed a form but that was back in July. I haven't heard of any news or updates about it since then. If anyone of yall know or have heard anything, kindly let me know.

Thanks!

Guys how do you book a spotnin your old brac campus’s ally (behind square). Like if you wanted to set up a food court there.

Kindly help me out.

I am a BRAC University graduate. Is it possible to change or correct my mother’s name on my academic certificate after graduation? Has anyone gone through this process?

I got like 380tk in my bkash although I can gather more, it'll be helpful is someone could provide /sell me the pdf

I heard there are 2 takes for admissions. Does this affect whether I can get the top 4 scholarship or not. Also any caveats to giving the exam in the second take? IF a second take even exists

Assalamualaikum everyone. I'm a student of HSC 26, and while I'm primarily preparing for public universities, I wish to give exams in BRACU as well. But the fact is, I lack the financial ability to study here, so I'll be targeting the 100% scholarship. So I'd really appreciate it if any seniors can advice me on how to prepare for this. To inform, I seemingly have a decent chance at cracking a public university(except BUET i suppose) given my dudvash rank. But I'd rather stay in Dhaka and be done with my admissions ASAP. My primary target is EEE, secondary being CSE, so if there's anything I need to consider before locking in for BRACU EEE, I'd be very glad to know.

so i am hsc 26 and planning to take admission test for architecture in all public universities and the private ones

but my hsc did not go so well, so i might not be able to sit for public engineering exams
in the situation i wish to know what materials i should thoroughly revise and what to expect for even a hard admission test and hopefully get into brac architecture

I have some questions , can anyone help with it?

1. Nsu te ki sat marks impressive thakle without exam allow kore?

2. shob priv uni te je functions gula hoi ogula attend na korle kichu hoi? naki jar jar icche.

3. Priv uni er exam gula ki hard hoi? ( ami hsc25) , ekta uni te admit asi dhakar baire but not worth it tai move korte chacchi ( hard nki ask korar reason hocche ami one year hsc er pora theke dure chilam)

November e je exam (spring2027) hobe, eita ki hsc-26 er jonno. Hsc-26 jonno na holeo ki exam dewa jabe

Hopefully it's later than DU else Im fucked. I didn't take chemistry in a Levels, Also DU in changing syllabus for English medium. Took alot of horrible decisions in my school career and just trying to put things in place somehow

Hello good people. I am having some confusion with the admission for Brac and would really appreciate some guidance.

(I have already emailed them and waiting for their response but still would appreciate your input)

1. I sat for SSC in 2023 and after that I went for an exchange program from Aug 2023 to June 2024. There I was placed in 12th grade. Upon my arrival, I was able to get my HSC 2025 equivalent certificate with the US High School Completion Certificate 2024. Now here's the thing- technically I did 11 years of schooling but according to the Education Board of Dhaka, my SSC was in 2023 (GPA 5) and HSC was in 2025 (GPA 4.79). Will this be an issue later? I went to Brac's Admission office two days ago and they said that I can apply w my equivalent certificate but they were not aware of mismatch. Will they make it a big issue after the admission test (let's assume I passed the admission test) even if they said that I can apply?

2. From their website, I learned that they require B grade for Physics and Maths on HSC for CSE. I have 4.79 GPA on HSC as I mentioned already but if they ask to specifically check the grades for those subjects, I will have to show them my 2024 papers which I received from the US. Again, will this cause a problem?

3. I am also preparing for A levels but I don't think that I will get a good result. I wasted a lot of time and didn't prepare at all so now I am getting the karma. I have Maths, Business and Physics for A levels. I am hoping to get an average result on Maths and Business but I don't think I will be able to get the same for Physics. Can I apply for summer intake 2027 w my Maths and Business grade for another department and then retake Physics and then change my department later? Will they allow this?

I am really concerned about these and would really appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance!

I know previously they evaluated assignments and lab quizzes. They also had to attend labs. But I've heard these days there's isn't much that they are required to do? I also heard from STs that they barely even attend the physical consultation hour as students goes to the faculty if they want consultations and attending ST lab is more or less optional?

HSC 26 here

I am planning to sit for Engineering Admissions exams.
As my backup plan, i wish to study architecture in BRAC and after getting my degree move abroad(hopefully germany)

I have a plethora of questions about BRAC Architecture

1. How is the teaching environment in BRAC Architecture?

2. Would you as a student of this department, suggest this department to future prospective
   students from non biased perspective?

3. What tips and advice would you give to not so attentive student who wants to study here?

4. What tips would you give someone who wishes to pass admission test?

5. Do you think my plan is a good or does it need tweaking or does it need a complete overhaul?
(kindly support your claims with substantial evidence)

if you have any other tips you would like to share, please feel free to give your unbiased opinion to your fellow junior brother

thanks in advance and looking for a friend
