r/AskBalkans • u/Maleficent-Light8564 • 3d ago
Current results as of October 26th 2026 12:35 PM CEST
Amount of people that voted (currently) - 4,212,509 (97.0% of the polls recorded)
Required seats for a majority: 126
(For comparison, Vucic following the 2023 Elections only won 110 seats but formed a coalition government)
Vucic conceded defeat
(I am editing this from time to time)
Edit 2: I made a slight mistake and accidentally showed SNS having a majority, when at the time of me editing (prior to now) they had lost their majority
Edit 3 (06:44 AM 26 Oct 2026): You do not know how much pain and misery I alongside many others have gone through after 14 years of his dictatorship

Anyone else find this gets old? Like sort of goes with the whole Russian / Eastern European thing. We come from a small village; our men are drunks and we have third world stuff going on.
I spent a month in Zagreb a year ago and it was a positively thriving intellectual central European capital. More bookstores per capita than the more “civilized” west, libraries, cafe culture etc.
It just sort of irks me.

So, I am currently banned in AskSerbia and I cannot write there, but that subreddit have a tradition of "Sexy Wednesday" meaning that on every wednesday redditors are using that subreddit to open various text posts with subjects related to sex or relationships. Do you support proposition that we start that tradition in AskBalkans as well?

It seems to be the thing to do for people like his crew.
And will there be spottings of him eating a 1 Euro hamburger at McDonald's alone?

In Macedonia we had the exact same thing - lots of enthusiasm, people protesting, asking for change. Then the genius Zoran Zaev came to power. Made deals, personally let Gruevski escape to Hungary, and very few people were actually imprisoned. VMRO as a party used that to prove two points - first, the new government is as corrupt/ the same as the previous government, and secondly, they are weak and don't have the balls to do what only VMRO can do.
In about 4 years, VMRO won most of the local elections, and now is again in power . Gruevski is still in Hugnary, Zaev is considered a traitor and a loser by most people. There hasn't been any protests ever since and it's impossible to motivate people to protest again. This is Serbia's future unless Vucic is in jail. I just hope there hasn't been some deals made with his party.
Don't say I didn't warn you. Six months - the clock is ticking.

I'd state a few examples . Starting with Croatia -They have tensions with Serbia ( ofc ) Montenegro, Bosnia .
Bosnia obviously has issues with Serbia and bosnian serb parties don't get along well with Croatia either .
Greece has tensions with Albania , Macedonia ( not a lot anymore though I think ) and Turkey ofc .
Albania has tensions with Serbia and Greece .
Serbia has tensions with Croatia, Bosnia and Albania/kosovo .
I may have missed a few as this list isn't all inclusive .
