I looked at some Google Street View photos of some parts of KK at the same locations over 10-12 year gap, and I realised how rapidly the city changes over that period. The physical change at Jalan Lintas is very obvious. I forgot how that stretch of highway used to be lined with many more trees especially on the median. Then came the road widening and the construction of U-Turn flyovers.

If Google Street View is available all the way back to 1980s, Jalan Pantai was then literally a road built from sea reclamation but was still surrounded by open water on both sides back then. Areas to the right of Jalan Haji Saman from the perspective of this photo were all open water back then.

[Kota Kinabalu] The 15-megawatt Kolombong large-scale solar plant began commercial operations on Oct 17, 40 days ahead of schedule.

The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) said the plant, developed by TG Solar Sdn Bhd under the Teck Guan Group, is the first large-scale solar project completed under its regulatory oversight through the LSS-Sabah 2024 programme.

With an installed capacity of 22.5MWp and an export capacity of 15MWac, the plant is expected to supply 33.4 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, enough to meet the needs of more than 9,000 homes.

ECoS chief executive officer Datuk Ir Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid said the plant's commercial operation marked progress in increasing renewable energy's contribution to Sabah's electricity supply.

1. I.C. nanti macam mana? Kena pakai baru?
2. Tentera macam mana? senjata, kereta kebal, pistol semua hantar balik pigi Semenanjung? Sebab tentera kan di bawah Federal.. so.. semua barang milik derang la kan?
3. Matawang mau pakai duit matawang Australia? gitu ka?
4. Sarawak memang mau keluar ikut sama? Atau ni NGO kasi masuk saja nama Sawarak dalam kumpulan derang ni.
5. Ketua menteri sepa nanti? Mau mengundi balik ka?
6. Jabatan-jabatan Federal nanti bubar la kan.. jadi kita pakai undang-undang apa nanti? Sebab banyak ni rakyat Sabah belum paham apa itu AKTA dan apa itu ENAKMEN.
7. Orang-orang Sabah kerja di Semenanjung yang nda mau balik Sabah macam mana? jadi PTI?

I honestly thought this was a random Facebook group back in the day. But in Australia, the Sabah Sarawak Keluar Malaysia (SSKM) displayed the Malaysian flag upside down as a symbol of political unrest over the question of the formation of Malaysia and the position of the two states.

Its president, Ray Chalmer Jefferson, said the demonstration in conjunction with United Nations (UN) Day aimed to bring the issues of history, people's rights and the political future of Sabah and Sarawak to international attention. In the action, SSKM (Australia) raised several key questions, including the source of authority given to the representatives of North Borneo and Sarawak to sign the Malaysia Agreement on 9 July 1963 and the documentary instruments that evidenced it.

Look, I can say I hate how Sabah has been treated by Semenanjung just as much. But I also wonder how doing this can actually help instead of ragebaiting the Malays?

Am i the only one who HATE AI FLYER? I’m getting sick of seeing government, shops & youtube thumbnail using AI. They look lazy, unoriginal, rubbish and overuse gradient with the same style. Anytime you use AI flyer most of the audience won’t even attract to your flyer because other event also using the same prompt. I hope that we can bring back our creativity, bad art is better than AI.
