I’ll start: Roko Ukic. I thought he was our next-up PG.

OPINION I don't think trading for Kyrie is a good idea.

At first it seems like a steal if you trade for Quickley and whatever, and Kyrie is a good player and all, until you realize he is 34, and Kawhi and 35. Quickley also has been having a nice start to the season, so if we do trade him, it better be for a good point guard and not 34 years old. I don't think we want a 34 year old and 35 year old in our starting lineup.

OPINION We need Jrue Holiday. Stop letting him rot in Portland.

I honestly think what this team needs most is a two-way guard who can defend on and off the ball, make smart decisions, and organize the offense without needing to dominate possession.

That’s why I keep coming back to Jrue Holiday.

We already have Kawhi, Scottie and CMB as our core. We don’t need another ball-dominant scorer who needs the entire offense built around him. We need a guard who can defend opposing guards, make the right reads, control the tempo, and play alongside our main guys without getting in their way.

Holiday checks almost every box. He brings playoff experience, elite defensive instincts, strong basketball IQ, and the ability to contribute both on and off the ball. He can take on difficult defensive assignments while still helping organize the offense.

He’s much closer to the type of floor general I want than another high-usage scoring guard. Kyle Lowry is still my ideal template, and I think Holiday brings some of that same toughness, discipline and team-first mentality.

I know his age, contract and trade cost would all need to be considered. But if Portland isn’t going anywhere and Holiday is available, Toronto should at least explore it.

We have a championship-level player in Kawhi, two young cornerstones in Scottie and CMB, and a backcourt that still needs more defensive reliability and composure under pressure.

I’d rather bring in a veteran like Holiday who makes everyone around him better than chase another big name who needs the ball in his hands.

OPINION CMB as a centre - complete insanity?

Post image
168 Upvotes

This isn’t a rage post, genuine discussion.
I don’t see how it makes sense, but I do hear continued whispers of CMB starting over Jak.

At 6’7.. how does that work? Is it just complete insanity?
Is the idea that he’s a good enough rebounder that the lineup could make sense?

I’m not a basketball expert. People calling for Myles Turner trades clearly are also not basketball experts. I would’ve thought there are vet minimum 7 footers kicking around.. but is the idea that maybe running small with CMB when you’ve got the rest of the defense.. is that enough?

Would love to hear real takes on why this could or couldn’t work and in which circumstances.

OPINION RJ Barrett is legit.

There's a clear trend in impact metrics, where RJ has went from being considered a negative impact player to in the past 2 years a positive.

He improves every year, is a hard worker, has less redundancy without Ingram and is still only 26.

Biggest ? At this point is if he can get to be a consistent league average, or even posisitive defender.

I've been an RJ skeptic, but now I'm pro extension.

OPINION I know someone with a worse contract than Jakob

Bam adebayo makes 50 million. As bad as jakob is, if we wanted bam, We need to match jakobs 19 million salary so it would require rj which we say no to. I think bam is a worse contract. Heat will need more picks than us to dump him. Im thinking 3 firsts. although bam is better than jakob ,because Bam takes up so much cap, no team will have any flexibility around him to build out their team and itll be an impossible contract. hes paid like a superstar

Hello im subscribed to nba league pass this season to watch Kawhi Leonard i am from his hometown, I wanna show support by watching him.

Is there a way where I can legally watch the live Sportsnet broadcast version of the toronto raptor games in the United States

Whenever I watch the raptors I would watch it through their opponents broadcast version

Like tonight, if I watch the game it would be the Minnesota timberwolves broadcast version of the game...I feel shorted out because I wanna watch the postgame interviews of raptor players

Or do I just have to stick with what I have?

I have league pass on my american cable TV in direct tv I could not find it there

OPINION I’m so hype for this season

Post image
270 Upvotes

This is the most hype I’ve been for a season since 19-20. Last year was fun, but the ceiling for that team was always a second round exit. This year, we’ve got an MVP candidate when he’s healthy, and with all our young talent, we’re gonna be super fun to watch this season, and could make a super deep run if everyone plays their best. Can’t wait for Wednesday night.
