Let’s Discuss 👀 What’s the most unfortunate celebrity picture you’ve ever seen?

I’m not gonna lie. I saw this picture today and I had to share it simply because I had never seen it before and also because I think this may be one of the most unfortunate celebrity pics of all time. I’m 100% certain this visit was done with the best of intentions and everybody involved was probably very happy with the visit… but just look at this juxtaposition ffs.

Keanu Reeves is certainly up there!

Anytime I come across stories where people talk about their own personal experience meeting him, or the things that he has done for people is very wholesome! Despite the tragic things he has gone through, he never lets it bring out the worst in him and set a great example of how kindness makes a big difference!

Let’s Discuss 👀 Who are two celebrities that you never would’ve guessed were close IRL?

Pedro Pascal and Erin Moriarty are the first that come in my mind!

I was thinking about it the other day of how cool it would be if they starred in a project together, only to discover they have actually known each other for years now!

They actively keep in touch, Moriarty has even called Pascal her “brother” when she highlights in one of her IG’s stories how much she misses him, and there was even an interview she did where she admitted to “begging” Pascal to make a guest appearance in her Amazon series; The Boys!

Let’s Discuss 👀 Who is the final boss of, "I mean a lot to a small group of people."

During an SNL monolog, John Mulaney famously said, "I mean a lot to a small group of people." That was in 2020, I'm not sure it applies anymore. I think he's more mainstream now and doesn't have that cult edge he did during, like, Kid Gorgeous.

The others pictured would be my choices. Amy Shermman-Palladino has an intense fan base, and a distinct style. Bruce Campbell is also a great example, and Matt Berry (in America, he's more mainstream in the UK). Any other examples?

Let’s Discuss 👀 What celebrity gives off vibes that they clearly hate their fame?

Post image
9.0k Upvotes

There are celebrities where fame gets in their head that it brings out the worst versions of themselves, where you can pick up on vibes where they may use their fame to their advantage in order to get what they want or may do things that make you lose whatever admiration you may have had for them. But who is a celebrity that gives off the vibes where it’s clear they hate their famous reputation. Whether they make it obvious or are almost subtle about it, but you can still tell.

One big example is Justin Bieber for me! When he was younger we seemed like he was having the time of his life for a while, until Hollywood sucked all of the innocence and lighthearted energy out of him and spit him out where he’s fuelled with trauma and bitterness cause he lost his privacy and is always being followed by paparazzi!

Let’s Discuss 👀 What celebrity isn’t considered an “A-lister”, but has a huge fan following?

Post image

Charlie Cox is well known for playing Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the MCU franchise, and even though he isn’t exactly a mainstream celebrity that’s on the same level as actors like Pedro Pascal, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Aniston, or Scarlett Johansson for example.

He has quite a huge fanbase, where it was enough to save him from losing his role as Daredevil when the show got cancelled on Netflix years ago. But when the rights converted back to Marvel Studios, there was enough fan demand through petition campaigns where people only wanted to see him in the role if the franchise ever decided to revisit the character again.

Which then gave us the revival series; Daredevil: Born Again, and switched from being a soft reboot to being a continuation of where the original series left off because Charlie Cox (and Vincent D’Onofrio) knew that’s what the fans really wanted to see!

Let’s Discuss 👀 What are some underrated/ unexpected celebrity connections from before they blew up?

I went down a Tik Tok rabbit hole and I got surprised how many celebrities actually knew each other before they were famous. For me these are the most surprising:

  1. Prince William and Eddie Redmayne - Eddie is one of my favourite actors I didnt know he grew up wealthy and was an Etonian

  2. Laura Linney and Brooke Shields - cute childhood besties

  3. Hailey Bieber and Miley Cyrus - I didn't realise Hailey grew up around so many celebrities, Miley and Hailey's older sister were friends and they used to pick on Hailey lol. Normal sister stuff

  4. Lauryn Hill and Zach Braff - were friends in high school, she even went to his bar mitzvah apparently. This one was really surprising to me

  5. Timothee Chalamet and Ansel Elgort - there can only be one

  6. Adam Levine and Jonah Hill - have been friends since school cause their dads met in the principals office. Jonah's older brother apparently used to manage Maroon 5 and Jonah officiated Adams wedding. That's quite sweet before everything else that's happened.

What are some other surprising duos?

Let’s Discuss 👀 Who are two celebrities that still actively keep in touch after working together?

Post image

In real life, people will work with each other for a while but then there will be that moment in your life where you either choose to move on, or are let go, and you never see your co-workers again. Unless you guys run into each other by chance, and have a moment to catch up on how life has been if you don’t actively keep in touch.

But I am curious, does anyone here know good examples of famous people who managed to still actively keep in touch with the people they worked with on projects they’ve done together?

One big example that I love is Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who are famous for being one of television’s most iconic duos; Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. It has been over ten years since the show ended, and the fact that they managed to still have a close friendship to this day is awesome! They even started a business together, just so they have a reason to still actively keep in touch.

Let’s Discuss 👀 Bryan Cranston once told Conan 'I can take any script and bring it up a grade level. Who is an actor who consistently takes good scripts and brings them down?

7.7k Upvotes

In an interview on Conan’s podcast, Bryan Cranston says he can bring a script “up a grade level” with his acting. I.e., you give him a B-Grade script, he can give you an A performance.

Who’s an actor who consistently takes A-level scripts, and turns them into B-movies? (Who keeps getting opportunities they don’t deserve?)

Let’s Discuss 👀 Who is a former mainstream celebrity that survived Hollywood, and is currently doing well for themselves?

Hilary Duff isn’t as big as she used to be back when she was a teenager, and was considered one of the biggest stars in film, shows and music in the decade of the 2000s!

But she is living a pretty healthy lifestyle, raising her family of 4 children, and balancing her acting career in small projects that are less mainstream along with getting involved in entrepreneurship!

There are quite a lot of actors or actresses that become so affected by Hollywood where they were treated horribly, that it takes a toll on their wellbeing with Amanda Bynes being one of the biggest examples!
