Ok so I don't have the time to actually write a fanfic, until the next 2 months give or take so... Here's all the basic stuff. Let me know what you think :)

-Number 1. Peter is trans from the get-go, but hasn't transitioned or come out to anyone, though Ben has his suspicions.

-Number 2. In this version of the story, the burglar that Peter let go went to his house and shot May and Ben. May didn't survive and Ben was left paralysed from the legs down.

-Number 3. After the incident, Peter moves to Harry's place until he turns 18. Ben is currently in the hospital going thru rehab, which the Osborn family is paying for. Polly reveals that she is trans, and Harry accepts it fully.

-Number 4. She has a homemade suit already, and prefers waiting till HRT to make a proper one. This version of Polly is less of a scientist and more of an artist, with her webs being organic.

-Number 5. She has her first little arc with Norman discovering her superhero identity and using her blood for research, turning him into Ultimate Green Goblin. During their final confrontation, Harry and Ben come in to help, with Ben notifying the police, and Harry using a glider prototype to end Norman.

-Number 6. She starts working for The Daily Bugle, meeting Betty, Ned, and Jameson. Jameson is NOT transphobic and actually quite supportive.

-Number 7. By the time the whole Norman thing happened, she had been a hero for 2 years, taking on the Enforcers, Electro, Hydro-man, Shocker, Rhino, and Black Cat (Oooh romance Oooh)

-Number 8. After starting HRT, she starts going through some...changes. She gets taller, from 5' 8" to 6' flat, Her appetite increases exponentially, leading to a chubby look, though she doesn't seem to mind. She also makes her suit! (See picture.) She also gets stronger, and her webs become more like blotches, so she starts using web shooters.

-Number 9. The main love interests are MJ, who I am still coming up with, and Black Cat. She will probably end up with MJ, or maybe I do a more open relationship. Or a threesome, idk.

(Ok so turns out that I don't have the image I was looking for so I'll post another image I made. It's the same suit but she is a lot chubbier cause I love thicc gurls, the other images are more representative of how she will actually look like)

So I started one of my own! :DDDD

It's a retelling of Petra's origin story, starting from before she gets her powers (or cracks her egg).

And Chapter 1 is on AO3 you can read it right now!!! Mind the tags and content warnings.

I still remember going to see Into the Spiderverse back in 2018. Ever since that day I wanted to cosplay as Spider-Gwen so bad. After all these years and so much change, that dream has finally come true. 🩵💕

TLDR and based on a previous post from earlier today and because I'm having a super burst of creativity so striking while the hammer is hot

If I could wave a magic wand and make Petra Parker a canon Spider-Woman (and let's face it, with all the variants and multiverse Marvel has, why not)

Just some things to throw against the wall to see what sticks so just know, very impulsive

1. Uncle Ben lives, but Aunt May is the one who is killed that night. Uncle Ben figures out Petra is Trans AND Spider-Woman and supports her in both cases.

2. The Symbiote Saga is the big turning point in Petra coming to terms with accepting herself as Venom uses Petra's Body Dysmorphia against her to keep Petra using the suit until with the help of Mary Jane and Uncle Ben, Petra rips the suit off and accepts that she is Petra, flaws and all. Meanwhile her bully Eda Brock, accepts Venom and as an excuse to become the big lady she's always wanted to be. Carnage is still the same. But that's later

3. Harry Osborn turns against Petra when she comes out. Green Goblin/Norman Osborn is still his awful self, maybe even worse

4. Certain villains don't become enemies of Spider-woman, IE Kraven instead becomes an enemy of Black Cat while others like Doctor Connors never turn into bad guys (Even if he still goes coo coo in Lizard Form) but when Petra starts growing bigger, he's the one who explains Petra's HRT caused her female Spider size to unlock so she's bigger, faster, stronger, but could set up the Woman-Spider Arc, but others like Doc Ock and Vulture are still same, Scorpion becomes even more anti-Spider

Hodge podge of changing other Marvel characters like on this earth just to try some variety it's Thrud Odinsdaughter (Thor was born a girl and Loki never left the frost giants), Captain America didn't go into the ice but he disappeared in the 1950s during the Cold War, She-Hulk becomes the Mayor of New York. It's Victoria Von Doom, Empress of Latveria

I’ve lurked in this sub for a while and I finally thought of something worth contributing.

So, it seems pretty much set in stone that Norman Osborn is a transphobe in this AU, but I don’t think we’ve discussed Harry too much, which I think is a shame.

So I started thinking about Harry in this world, and I came to an idea. Harry isn’t outwardly bigoted like his father is, but he struggles a lot with internalized homophobia being gay but not really knowing or understanding. When he takes on the Goblin identity and Goblin serum, that bigotry becomes more outward, projected onto others as he runs from himself and refuses to accept who he is and who he loves. His inability to interrogate his own internalized hatred and beliefs forced on him by Norman causing Harry to see himself as inherently wrong or deviant for feeling the things he feels leads him to being just like his father, whether he realizes it or not.

Admittedly, I’m still relatively new to LGBTQ topics like this. I only realized I was asexual a couple years ago and I haven’t done extensive research into sexuality, so I’m not really diving deep into this, I just wanted to put this idea out there and see what everyone else thought of it. If I’ve gotten something wrong or accidentally misunderstood or misinterpreted internalized bigotry and how it works and affects people, I apologize and please inform and correct me.

So, when I first watched Brand New Day, I'd already seen a fair amount of Petra Parker content/discussion.

And while I can't find a clip on the internet yet, to cross reference it and confirm it, I almost got kind of a feel that there might have been a misunderstanding on Bruce's part?

Like, this random kid shows up, and they seem a bit awkward. They seem to have a good head for science, but they're really interested in the inhibitor. Bruce probably has a few people who are weird about him, more interested in the celebrity of the Hulk than his scientific career.

But this feels different.

The kid asks him, "Could you use this technology to suppress any sort of... biological function? Including things that effect mental states? It might be perfectly natural, but what if you don't want it?"

He doesn't know Peter Parker is Spider-Man. The kid seems to be talking about something personal. Something that they're ashamed of. They want to use something to tamper down on some part of themselves that they don't like.

So I wondered by his phrasing, and again, I haven't rewatched it to take notes, was he trying to sort of dissuade a kid who might be trying to "cure" themselves of being trans/gay or something along those lines?

Telling the kid that they should consider who else might use technology like that, that they should consider if whatever aspect they're trying to suppress is something that needs to be suppressed or examined and embraced, it might be a natural part of who they are and trying to suppress it would just hurt the kid. And again advising them that making technology available that could suppress natural parts of your own personality could go very, very badly.

Again, my brain was kind of Petra Pilled at the time (and I'd already been spoiled that something would happen to make Spider-Phoenix popular because I saw a lot of that), but I felt like Banner's attempts to support this stranger who is clearly going through something that Banner doesn't have context for did give those vibes. Those are just my thoughts, but I was wondering if anyone else got those vibes.

(Of course, if you want an MCU Petra Parker, you could move it from 100% a misunderstanding to, "Huh, that was some odd advice Banner gave me. But I was talking about the spider stuff and he didn't know about that so clearly nothing about it directly applied to me, even if it gave me some science ideas. It is weird that the conversation about the dangers of trying to suppress those feelings still kind of stuck in my head, though, especially after I learned to embrace the spider part of my identity. Oh well, I'm sure that that advice and my revelation about not fearing certain parts of myself in no way applies to any other aspects of my life and also I love my baggy sweatshirt.")
