I saw the hobby lobby ai post and I raise you this.

This was given to me as a gift from a family member who is obsessed with hobby lobby, hallmark, etc. Yes, this was from hobby lobby.

They didn’t read it closely enough and got it for me because “I need to learn how to be grateful for all of gods gifts” after I was complaining about my progressive nerve disease that is painfully paralysing me.

I’m not grateful, but I am grafeful.

Cap on left purchased in 2025. Cap on right purchased last week. All of the images on their website show the new green tint. The bottle is identical.

I typically save partial bottles for touch ups or color mixing, so immediately after I opened the new one I rummaged for the last one and sure enough they're completely different.

The company does not use social media, nor do they have an email address that I can find. Not that it matters. It's not like they'll change it back just for me 🙄

Edit: The cruelty-free bottle is the new one. Photos of results in comments.

frist of all how DARE yu o People who “reserve” pool chairs for hours with towels and disappear are the worst

Post image
36.6k Upvotes

My apartment complex pool has rules specifically saying chair reservation isn’t allowed, yet people do this constantly. These towels have been sitting here unattended for at least 3 hours while every other chair is occupied and people are actively walking around looking for seats. It’s Sunday too, so management isn’t around to enforce anything.

What’s the standard practice when this happens? At what point is it acceptable to move the towels?

frist of all how DARE yu o Discovered my central air was a social construct…

18.3k Upvotes

So I just learned I’ve been living in a place with absolutely no central air conditioning. Not “I assumed it might be central air.” Not “I wasn’t sure how it worked.” I mean I fully, confidently, emotionally lived my life under the assumption that cool air was being distributed through vents like a normal adult homeowner situation.

And I’ve been out here adjusting a thermostat like I was doing something for over 4 years.

I even scheduled an HVAC guy to come today to figure out why my central air wasn’t running.
What system? I don’t know. The guy looked like he found a body in my basement as he clearly knew I didn’t have central air instantly. He even humored me to prove to me I didn’t have central air while we took 2 full laps around my house hunting for the outside part of the freakin’ fantasy. Needless to say we never found it. The poor guy felt so bad for me, he even said “maybe someone stole it.” Bless his heart.

So now I’ve got: a couple window units doing God’s work. I’ve always used them in the summer when I felt that my imaginary central air wasn’t pulling its weight. So I’m unsure why I feel like my summer bill is going to skyrocket. I’ve been living this life for years.

I put a box fan in my the bathroom like it’s 1998
and the realization I’ve been paying attention to vents that were decorative at best is giving me a stomach ache.

Honestly the worst part isn’t even the heat. It’s the fact I fully believed I had central air and never once questioned it. Just vibed in ignorance.
Anyway. If anyone needs me I’ll be sitting directly in front of a fan rethinking my entire life, having a spiritual crisis, feeling like a doorknob, and rediscovering whatever I thought HVAC meant.

***please laugh with me— don’t kick me while m down— I already feel like a weenie hut jr.***

frist of all how DARE yu o This monster destroyed my door in the new 1915 house we bought.

He's lucky I still love him after this. We had movers here that were bringing in our boxes so we had to lock him in my bedroom. This door was original to the house. I had planned to strip the paint off of the wood of the door and frame. Not so much anymore.

Edit: just to be clear this dog isn't mine. Mine is about 20 pounds and is totally crate trained.

Some of y'all really are assholes for no reason and nosey AF. My living situation is none of your business so stop asking.

The dog is 15 years old and belongs to my mother.

He's terrified of crates and has been since he was a puppy. He had one for years and refused to ever go inside of it. The only crate he was ever willing to go inside of was my old dogs crate (75lb doberman mix) while she was inside of it.

I don't actually blame him for ruining my door, that and me calling him a monster was the fucking joke.

He still spends half the day laying in my bed and yes I am working on training him. My mom seems convinced that because of his age there's no point in 'trying to change who he is' as she put it.

There's no lead in the paint. Flippers painted every bit of original wood about 10 years ago with this bright white latex paint. We do have lead in our floors and walls but not the doors, doorframes or window frames. Also I will be repairing this door, it's not getting thrown out over what I would call minor damage.

The dog has seen the vet since this incident and has been confirmed to be fine. We were more worried about possible impaction than actual lead since this is latex paint.

The moment I opened this door he bolted out into the neighborhood and chased several wild/feral animals for damn near a half hour. I managed to catch him and get him back in the house. The photo of him was taken right after he was back inside safe and sound. He's a good dog 98% of the time, he just doesn't like having barriers between him and people who could be giving him love.

Wife asked me to throw the toasted ravioli in the oven once it pre heats. I hear the oven beep and walk up to this… Normally things like this wouldn’t bother me but for some reason this almost felt like a personal attack. (For Context it’s the tilted ravioli)

Edit: Yes I let my local PD know, yes I'm aware my lawn is already not winning any awards, but does that make a stranger's entitlement any less mildly infuriating?

Limited parking already, and this Range Rover consistently takes up two spots while everyone else parks normally. Not a one-time bad park either; this is daily behavior. I genuinely don’t understand the entitlement.

frist of all how DARE yu o my mom called me trying to haggle with me to bake her a cake last minute for her boyfriend, i am a professional baker and i own my small business 🫪

Post image
6.9k Upvotes

my typical price for my cakes ranges anywhere from $60-$120 plus the optional tip i don’t ever ask for, most people tip 25/50% of the cost because they are so pleased and i definitely undercharge for the quality of work i do. i counter-offered to do it for $40 (which is a HUGE discount for what she wanted) over the phone and she acted so surprised and offended.

extra edit since the non tipping crowd is here and losing their ever-loving minds: i am not an establishment with one of those annoying tablets with preset predatory tips, i dont ask for tips, i dont hope for tips, i dont suggest tips, i do not conduct my business like that and i set my prices to what im happy with! yall are assuming way too much that you don’t know anything about. that said, i just opened my business 5 months ago and i’m in college paying my own way, so if my clients decide to tip me because they’re happy with my work and appreciative, of course i’m going to accept it gratefully 🫶🏻

edit for additional context: i am not a greedy person, my mom has NPD and mentally, emotionally, and verbally abused me since i was a child until i moved out of the house and this is another form of her trying to control me and manipulate my emotions by belittling my job. i just made a gorgeous free cake last week for my best friends mothers birthday, its not about the money at all! i make free cakes and other baked goods, artisan jam, and even artwork literally all the time for my friends and family. i will never for her, least of all on my day off with zero notice and a 12 hour time limit. she is the most ungrateful and cruel person i have ever known. i have only recently started setting boundaries with her since i am free and she has nothing to hold over me anymore. 💗

frist of all how DARE yu o Apparently death is the only exception to requiring two parent signatures.

15.1k Upvotes

My nephew lost his dad in recent years.

His public high school athletics code of conduct requires two parent/guardian signatures, with exactly one exception:

“Two parent/guardian signatures are required with the exception of a deceased parent/guardian.”

He got upset reading it. Understandable.

One legal guardian? Sole custody? Foster care? Absent or unsafe parent? Restraining order?

None of those exist, apparently. The only scenario they accounted for was “dead.”

“Parent/guardian signature(s), where applicable” must have been too advanced.

Brown man flying business. Lined up at the priority check in counter and got told by a (also brown) staff person that the economy queue was the other way. Same thing while boarding the plane and walking to the business class entrance. Not only am I not worthy of business, they think I can't read signage as well.
