Is there a list on what is closed source of sailfish OS? As far as I know: the whole AppSupport and parts of the UI. But which parts? And why thou?

Jolla donne des nouvelles des envoies ou non ? Il y a écrit « expédition le 10 décembre 2026 » mais j’ai vu des gens sur le forum attendre 6-8 mois. Cela doit être par liste et donc par date d’achat.

First of all I am impressed! of Jolla phone. After first clicks now I want to deeply check how is working and so on .. and trying to install first app and receiving first denies after installing like Revolut or George Slovakia .. has anyone faced the same issue just thinking if solution like changing type of the phone in Spoof Manager will help .. maybe for Revolut but for apps like receiving exception .. Error: 1007 .. not passing security check will be harder to bypass .. If you have any forums where can be found useful tips and tricks i will be happy.

I was excited to hear that my new phone has shipped. But I've just received notification that I have to pay £88 in import duties in order to receive my new Jolla phone. Ouch :-(

I did other videos on this, but this is after really having this hardware as my daily driver for around 3 months. It's fantastic, love it.

Hi, does anyone know, how to go back within an app by other than clicking on the top right? The smartphone is to big to do it by one hand or my hand is to small to reach it by the thumb and I have issues to find a setting to change it.

Is there general a broader video or something like that for the entry?

I am also a little bit disappointed that there are so less apps in the Jolla store.

I really want to make it work as my only smartphone and only keep my pixel as back up but I'm really struggling with those points. But I'm pretty sure this is a user driven problem.

How safe is it to use the phone for calls or whatever when outside in light rain or drizzle?

Preordered my Jolla Phone (2026) on 21st January, 2026 and it arrived on 16th October, 2026. It was quite a long wait, but I want to say that I'm super happy about it. Mainly I just wanted to say big thanks to Jolla people making this phone.

When I ordered it, then price tag made me think a bit (Batch #3 got it for 600 EUR). But I'm very surprised how premium it feels. The physical feel is excellent, although it is made from plastic. It feels great in hand, the texture of the plastic feels good, it's solid. Buttons feel great, the fingerprint scanner works excellently. What made me even more amazed is the software. I honestly waited some half-baked, partially unfinished software, because that's how the Linux world generally is. So, I expected nothing more from SailfishOS. But the UI is beautiful, consistent, have not discovered any visual glitches or anything. After this experience, I would definitely buy it again. Even with Dimensity 7100 not being the latest or greatest, you really can't feel it. It's snappy and smooth. Also I expected that between the OS and Android AppSupport there is bigger friction, but it's better integrated than I hoped.

All good and nothing to complain about? Nothing super big, but still I would point out what many have said already, but let's have even more leverage to those things 🙂

• Camera: It doesn't have the AI from Google or Apple and it is not using the top-of-the-line sensor, but still could be a lot better. Most images are oversaturated with blue colors. Could use improvements.
• Built in web-browser: I love the simplicity of that browser. For my minimalistic views, this browser is a dream come true. But boy, the engine is outdated and every web page screams about it. Had to install an Android browser too, to counter the issues. I really hope, this will be resolved somehow.
• UI scaling in Android apps. This is a pain for the eyes. If an app supports increasing font sizes, then it becomes bearable, but Jolla really needs to add resolution scaling to Android AppSupport.
• Would be cool too, if Android apps would integrate with system biometric mechanisms. Some apps are so much easy to use, when you can lock and unlock them with fingerprint scanner.

P.S. When you turn everything on, like Bluetooth, AppSupport, run a lot of Android apps at the same time etc, then it becomes quite RAM heavy. 12GB of RAM is a good option, when you want to have "everything". Go with 8GB if you are lighter mobile user. If you are heavier user, then yes, you NEED the 12GB.

Edit: To estonian buyers. Mobile-ID works. Although in a weird way, sort of a semi-bugged way, but it does work.

I cannot find an app that allows me to unzipna file via gui. Please help! Is there anything? I don't want to use the console to unzip files when I'm on the go or in the bus. (And I honestly can't believe this feature isn't in the os)

Hi there is this new app droiddeck on android. I tried running via microg and with command they give you but doesn’t seem to work
Also tried it direct terminal via termux but also doesn’t help.

Anyone who got the app working fine ? Would be cool to try out steam gaming on Jolla phone. 😅🫠
