Forever WoW Forever Build just decrypted some "very classic looking" mounts for the game
Someone posted yesterday that they hope Blizz wont add a million mounts to the game as it ruins immersion. Most of us agreed. Well here we are...

Forever Recreated my Rogue in SD. Toggled HD, this is not my character.
Really disappointed in the Human SD > HD transitions. I feel like other races mostly look ok, but you can't make a human transition properly. Shame Blizzard is such a small indie company and can't do this better.

Forever The classic model toggle is fake
The toggle doesn't give you actual classic models. It slaps classic textures over the retail models. Infact they didn't change any animations other than running, the proportions and idle animations are still like retail. Even gestures like talking is using the retail animations.
For example undeads breathe in classic making their chest puff up and down, this does not happen in classic forever even when you turn the toggle off.
We need to speak up about this.
Edit:
Made a video that shows comparisons with some of the animations as well. Still mainly about the undead but it does show the clip of the Tauren as well for more context. 3mins long. Sorry if this is against the rules.
https://youtu.be/CudPP9Ch1Rw?si=tqxOvxZo5DhjuJzi
Edit 2: We did it boys, we got the word out to the streamers. They're the reason we have the toggle in the first place apparently cause they were adamant about it when they saw blizz and they didn't have one. Hopefully a change can be made now.
Edit 3: xaryu called this post disingenuous when he did a side by side with a bald no eyes undead vs bald no eyes undead. He didn't show hair with eyes which is the real issue with the face overall. It sucks you can go through all this effort and streamers will call it fake news and disingenuous
Won't get anything changed with streamers not taking the issue seriously

Forever Can we not give Hunter's pets the best abilities in the game just as a little fun addition?
Dismember is literally Mortal Strike and it makes Hunters shred through healers like paper.
Sonic Blast is Curse of Tongues, increasing casting time and GCD by 60%. Even instant casts are slowed...
I swear the next pet is going to have Blessing of Protection at this point.

Forever This game must have blown your minds back in 2004
As a 30 year old lifelong gamer, somehow the WoW Forever beta is my first experience of World of Warcraft.
I am blown away and can't wait to play more at launch. The game is amazing. The vibe, the sounds, the surroundings. It's the first game that actually makes me FEEL like im in a different world while playing and makes me excited to explore.
Now, if this game makes me feel like this in 2026 i can't imagine how amazing and revolutionary this game must have felt in 2004. It would be great to hear some of your impressions when WoW was first released! :)

Forever Why is 'restedXP' addon not banned?
Charging money for an addon is against TOS, but they are allowed to continue, even sponsoring streams to promote their garbage. The addon is disgusting and goes against everything Classic WoW should be, literally turning people's brains off, also promoting a toxic 'rush to end-game as fast as possible' mindset. One of the worst addons ever made.

Forever Premade Groups Will Only Match Against Other Premades in WoW: Forever Battlegrounds
Premade groups will only be matched in Battlegrounds against other premade groups, but if you are wondering about playing with your small group of friends, then fear not, as Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield explained that there will still be a small-group option. This will potentially be around 2-3 players, but that is still being decided.
Battleground Matchmaking was first discussed in Classic in Phase Two of Season of Discovery, when changes to matchmaking meant that premades were less likely to be matched with PuGs. This did come with a caveat whereby, after sitting in the queue for a period of time, the new rules would be ignored. We don't know if that will be the case in WoW: Forever.

Forever How Much Spell Power Each Spell Needs to Match WoW:Classic Damage in WoW:Forever
Since base damage of each spell is reduced, I made a chart comparing damaging spells across Mage, Warlock, Shadow Priest, Balance Druid, and Elemental Shaman to see how much spell power needed to reach their base damage in Classic WoW.
How to interpret the graph: Each bar shows how much +spell power in WoW: Forever a spell needs to match its WoW:Classic damage at 0 spell power (at level 60). Longer bars mean a bigger gap and the dashed line is the average for that class.
For spells, I used the highest rank available at level 60. For spells with a damage range, I compared the midpoint, for DoTs, I counted their full duration. The base damage values come from the WoW Forever Talents spellbook comparisons (https://wowforevertalents.com/), and the +SP values are calculated using spell power coefficients.
This is a comparison of spell damage before talents, crits, and resistance. It isn't an overall DPS ranking, but I thought seeing all the spells together made the differences easier to judge.
TDLR: Short bar = good. Long bar = bad.
Zugzug.
Edit: Here's the graph for heals, results are quite funny: https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/1wncmoq/how_much_healing_power_each_healing_spell_needs/
Edit2: For those who are asking about Smite and Holy fire (it's really bad):
Spell, Classic base damage, Forever base damage, Forever coefficient, +Spell power needed
Smite, 385–429, 167–186, 71.4%, 323
Holy Fire,355–449 + 145 DoT, 184–232 + 75 DoT, 100% total, 264

Forever Unpopular opinion: WoW was better before streamers. Maybe we should stop watching them.
Maybe I'm just too old to understand, but I swear the biggest difference between WoW in 2004 and WoW Forever is all these streamers. Back in 2004, we just played the freaking game. We got lost, wiped in dungeons, made friends, and nobody gave a shit how long it took you to hit 60. Now we've got streamers, their armies of followers, everyone racing to 60, and all this RMT BS. Here's a crazy idea. What if we all just stopped watching WoW streamers?
Seriously. No viewers, no subscriptions, no donations, no money. Eventually, there's no financial incentive to stream WoW. I'm not saying every streamer is involved in RMT, but I can't help feeling that turning every damn thing in this game into a business is ruining what made WoW great in the first place. Why the hell are we watching other people have adventures in Azeroth when we could be having our own?
Want to support WoW Forever? Log in, help a random player, join a guild, run a dungeon, and actually PLAY THE DAMN GAME. Maybe I'm just nostalgic for 2004, but I'd love to see what WoW Forever would look like without the streamer circus.
Stop watching. Stop Chasing the Meta. Stop theory craft, etc., and just play the damn game.
Now let the downvotes begin.

Forever How would you have felt if you got this news instead?
People say women wouldn't play an Elf but I definitely would! They are one of my favorite races and hope they implement them into the future. The skybourne race is disappointing and wish they were a bit more creative with it but I digress. Sorry if you don't agree 🤷♀️

Forever Shamans are going to be underpopulated on Alliance
I have no solution to this but maybe someone else does.
I've sat at my desk all morning worrying about the lack of Shamans on Alliance.
My boss can tell something is wrong but he wouldn't dare interrupt my thinking time.
He wouldn't dare.
