Mali’s Goïta is in Moscow ahead of the third Russia-Africa summit. Burkina Faso is pursuing a Russian university branch to teach engineering. Ethiopia is expanding its fertilizer trade with Russia. Namibia is seeking mineral processing, not raw extraction.

An Algerian MP put the colonial record plainly: colonial powers built roads to extract Africa’s wealth, not to industrialize the continent.

The colonial system moved raw materials out. Africa needs universities, fertilizer plants, nuclear energy, ports and transport infrastructure that build productive capacity at home.

The Anglo-American establishment spent decades presenting Russia as Africa’s threat. Now African governments are pursuing partnerships with Moscow in education, energy, agriculture and industry.

The empire built the routes of extraction. Africa needs the infrastructure of development.

Funny how all those corporate "economic experts" vanished from the timeline overnight after the gold processing industry is fully inaugurated in Burkina Faso.

Mfks y'all should keep that same energy you had for the tomato paste, don't get all quiet now!🤣🤡

Géopolitic/Géopolitique You guys think Burkina/AES should eventually have nukes?

It’s really important for any superpower to have highly strong defences to ensure mutual destruction in the case of an attack. Every big name in geopolitics are considered unthinkable to ever attack. I figure the AES as a whole is on an incredible trajectory, and could be the first modern African alliance to ever fully cut off all colonial ties. But if the time ever comes when Burkina becomes really technologically advanced and highly independent, they’ll need strong defence forces. But should or should that not mean nuclear forces?

Géopolitic/Géopolitique I would like to know more about your country.

Hello everyone,

I am from Vietnam — a country that was also invaded and exploited by French colonialism, so I feel a deep sense of empathy with the people of Burkina Faso.

I have a few questions:

  • How do Burkinabè people view the political situation before and after the 2022 Revolution?
  • In what ways did France manipulate or influence your country's politics prior to the revolution?
  • How is Captain Ibrahim Traoré perceived as a leader by the general public?

I wish your country and its people a strong, sovereign, and prosperous future!
