My dearest kin,
As I scribe these words for thee, I layeth here in my chambers, mind befuddled by painkillers, so I humbly beg thy forgiveness for my ramblings…
While mine bones hath been forged by Brokkr himself, I feel all masterpieces have their small hidden flaw. Mine was a simple warping at birth of my septum; a wretched aberration that impeded mine very breath.
Alas, after a lifetime of misery, I gave myself over to the Dark Wizards, who with their Twisted Bone Magiks, broketh mine nose so that she could relieve me of my burden.
I heed the teaching of our forefathers; bones broken by Dark Arts of Bone Wizardry do not count against us, and my position as a member of this great clan remains pure and untainted.
However, the guilt of the knowledge that one of mine bones, however insignificant, hath been fractured weighs heavily on mine mind. It feels as though… I lost something. Perhaps this is temporary, and soon I shall feel whole and powerful again, but I wished to convey my feelings and regrets such that I may find comfort, or provide comfort for those who come after me.
Mayhaps I may take solace in having been regaled by the Dark Wizard that the whole procedure took about thirty-and-three percent longer than expected as even their twisted sorcery struggled against my mighty septum, and they had to concentrate and prolong their spell.
May the Bonefather be with you all,
-Thy Loving Kin

In my defense they did break it under anesthesia, my bones were fine before.

I’ve lived a lie. Drank my milk, looked down on the brittle, prevailed in all things physical with what I believed to be a superior skellington. I was dreadfully, unimpeachably wrong.
Attempting to make a soccer save last week, my fingertip met ground. The tendon took its opportunity to finally steal a victory in the eternal flesh vs. bone struggle - rather than succumbing and snapping as it should have, the blasted thread pulled a piece of bone away with it (avulsion fracture).
I am disgusted, ashamed, and set adrift. My identity is in tatters, my existence an attestation to the infinite unknowable of one’s own ignorance. I refused to see the X-ray imagery, revolted to even picture the brittle calcium that has always been within me. That I so foolishly found confidence in.
How will I go on? What can I trust? Why have my genetics forsaken me?
It is not for this community to ponder, let alone worry. I am not worthy. I yearn for your certainty, but heed my warning as I depart: the flesh cannot be trusted.

My knee remains normal with no chips 🫡🫡 but they're gatekeeping my bones, won't let me see the imaging

I want to share about my favorite sport. I’ve been doing it for a good 6 years++.
Last year, I dislocated my shoulder trying to grab a hold. Xray - no fracture. MRI - labrum tear
This year, I slipped 4m high while standing on a foothold and landed badly on my ankle. Xray - no fracture. MRI - ligaments tear (during surgery they needed to drill on the bones though to put some metal, the surgery apparently took a while)
Bouldering strengthens your bones and high impact activity increases its density.

While playing a sport on a rooftop turf I was running on full speed then I realised there's a wall when I was hardly 1 feet away. So, I pulled my right arm in front of me to save myself. All the pressure was absorbed by my elbow which pained like hell.
When I went for an X Ray, the doctor was surprised because he expected some breaks but my strong bones surprised him.
After 2 weeks of rest for my weak muscles, I'm back to playing sports and going to the gym.

A couple of weeks ago I almost turned into a BBB. Inspired by our friend, the soccer player, let me tell you what tragedy befell my finger.
It was a beautiful fall day so I took my dog to the lake, just as I had done countless times before. After about 5 miles, he got the zoomies and started dashing about. The moron ran towards me but instead of changing direction at the last second, as he usually does and as any sane creature would, he just crashed into me.
I put up my hands in front of my knees to protect them. Even though my bones are strong and no giant could even grind them into bread, my cartilage is flawed and basically... gone. So I had to protect my knees. When I put my hands in front of me, my foolish dog crashed into them and popped my thumb back. The pain was outstanding. The sound with which my thumb bent back will remain forever pasted into the album of my memory.
Upset and defeated, I simply put my right hand in a makeshift sling since the throbbing pain was too much if it hung down, and I went home. The next day my thumb was bruised and swollen.
I suspected a fracture, I thought about how I would need to leave this sub. But, alas, I could not go into town for an x-ray since I could not drive with just one hand. Days passed, I learned to brush my teeth with my left hand. I discovered scissors don't work unless you use your right.
I was becoming desperate and wondering which neighbor to burden with my fragility, as I needed to be driven into town to receive an x-ray. Well, to my surprise, a few days after the incident my thumb felt better. The swelling was still visible but the improvement was unmistakable. And, indeed, about ten days in, my thumb was back to almost normal. I drove, I cooked, I used the scissors. All is well. But let me tell you, comrades, it was close. The shame I felt! I say! The shame! The shame of having been injured in such an absurd way!

Kicked my bed frame three days ago, still aches throughout the day and bruising around the area... broken or am I safe?

I have never broken any bones, despite multiple accidents that would have exposed many bbb's.
However, a recent MRI scan showed a blood clot causing necrosis inside my knee femur. Most likely this won't cause any breaks as it is fully grown bone, and doesn't need the growth of more bone tissue.
Am I still welcome in the Halls of the mighty?

After 30 consecutive years, my streak has officially ended. Taken down by bad fall on my wrist on roller skate. I was sure it was just a really good sprain, until the doctor invented a bone name and told me I broke my triquetrum

I had an incident where I essentially backhanded the fuck out of a chair by accident. my knuckle was swollen and the back of my hand, and i couldnt fully make a fist for a few days so i decided to get an xray... MY BONES ARE GOOD! Tendons are swollen but the bones are strong💪🏻 i was really worried about losing my place here so I thought I would share, I am still part of the club❤️

What's your wrist circumference and does it happen to be thicker than most people and do you think bone density correlates with size

It was like five years ago. With all these chalkies in here stinking up the place with their sad little x-rays, we can use this post as an opportunity to share tales of boneliness where lesser bones would have failed.
