I’m a Korean student studying here, I’ve been living here for around 6 months now, so my “tour” might look a bit different haha~
I like to start my morning with a jog in the park, then enjoy a good breakfast. It's either roti canai + teh tarik at a mamak or some toast + kopi at a kopitiam. Back home I usually have rice or bread for breakfast, but here the Malaysian style is unbeatable lah.
Then walk around at Pavilion KL for some shopping. I’d also pick up something more unique as collection for myself or gifts for my family — I actually think perfume malaysia or handcraft is way cooler and more useful than just fridge magnets or keychains.
Afternoon I’d go for cafe hopping. KL cafes have such a nice vibe — kinda reminds me of Seongsu-dong in Seoul, but with their own twist.
Evening dinner walk at night market (pasar malam they called) before calling it a day.
That’s my version of a 1 day KL plan.
How about you guys — if you only had 24 hours in KL, what’s your move?

I'm not an expat or a tourist. just want to live a peaceful life there. i literally have no idea so mine might not be realistic expectations. comment, dm me, just let me know. help me manage expectation. guide me. thank you.

Going to Kuala Lumpur for 20 days, all in Airbnbs near malls (Putrajaya by IOI City, then KLCC/Ascott‑type place, then a condo near Cheras). I was originally going to stay at EQ but 20 nights felt insane for the price, and this is literally my first time using Airbnb in my life, so I’m a bit nervous doing all Airbnb for such a long stay. I’ll probably side‑quest to Singapore or Penang or maybe Langkawi for a few days in the middle, but KL is the main base.
I’m not looking for tourist things to do – that’s covered. I’m specifically interested in:
• Food courts / hawkers / kopitiams that are actually good (and not disgusting) in and around IOI City, KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Cheras.
• Whether Lot 10 Hutong is still worth it or overrated now, and which stalls are must‑try vs “don’t bother”.
• Must‑check‑out night markets / food streets (top 1–3 you’d actually send friends to, not just the super tourist traps).
• Unique food/mall spots – interesting malls, food halls, and supermarkets with good ready‑to‑eat stuff (Ben’s, Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, AEON, etc.).
Any KL Airbnb do’s/don’ts, red flags in listings, or buildings to avoid/recommend are also welcome, but main focus is food, hawkers, night markets, malls, restaurants, and grocery stores, not general sightseeing.

Visiting KL for the F1 weekend ( Oct 2-4) As the post title suggest, any recommendations for good techno clubs in KL? Planning to visit on Saturday night for couple of hours, and enjoy the music. Also, let me know If there's any international artists or big gig on same weekend.

Hi guys
Please be kind with your honest feedback or suggestions
we family been visiting Malaysia about 5 years now on and off for vacation. we as a Muslims love the country, people, culture, food, places mostly everything about Malaysia. we have lived about 10 years of our lives in GCC due to current west Asia conflicts we are considering Malaysia to move next. I'm into healthcare Domain with vast experience in hospital or chain of medical centers or chain of pharmacy and my wife is a lawyer. we have 2 kids both are going to kindergarten school. I would hear from the people or foreigners with families living in KL for following queries
Where to register CV for job hiring mostly employers seeking foreigners with international work experience
which are the areas with fair rental housing, prefer near the schools, with good security
how much income should be enough for a family of 4 to survive in KL given the school cost, rental cost, medical emergencies etc
does the employer provide insurance for the family in KL like rest of the world or I have to take one then suggest which all policies are good for a family of 4
any good will gesture or pointers or a connection will be genuinely appreciated. kindly dm me to share my resume 🙏 ☺️

Im assuming this is in light of Thaipusam, but there has been an INSANE amount of noise at my residential area tonight with drums and loud singing as late as 3 am and has been playing since 3 hours ago.
Im on the thirteenth floor and I feel like the noise is coming from the next room. Ive tried sleeping through it but the noise genuinely wakes me up.
I can tolerate the music and the singing but the drums get progressively louder. With this level of noise they might as well play next to me in bed.
Its incessant and non stop. Ive never experienced this any other occasion or even during Thaipusam on other years.
Is this normal?

Planning to visit KL in December. And this time, instead of spending on Grab or changing MRTs to reach a place, I’m thinking of getting an international driving licence from India.
Before I do that, I wanted to check if there are any reliable services (or apps) from where I can rent a motorcycle for a month or so…
Can locals please help me with this?

Hello everyone and good evening.
I am currently searching for a condo apartment to stay for the moment. I will be pursuing my studies at Sunway for 9 months.
I looked through the some condos on the websites but alot of em got below 4-stars review. As I read through it, mostly the complaints are recently such as bad management or so.
Some are shared rooms, shared kitchen and shared toilet. Alot of review complaints too. But I would wanted to find a non sharing above all these.
Does anyone have a good experience staying at a decent nice condo ? I would appreciate if anyone can share the names.
Distance is not a issue for me whether it will be a brisk walk or I have to take MRT/Bus, I am all okay with it !

I just finished my midterm exams (finally 😮💨), and now I have some free weekends to explore the city more deeply.
I’ve already seen some popular places in travel guides like KLCC, Petaling Street, Central Market, and Dataran Merdeka — they look really cool, and I plan to visit them for sure!
But I’m also very curious about the more local side of KL. I want to experience places that local people enjoy — like hidden cafes, street art areas, weekend markets, or neighborhoods with unique vibes.
I’m really into perfume, fashion, beauty, food, and Malaysian culture in general. 💛
So if you have any recommendations (especially those not in regular tourist guides), I would be very thankful! 🙏
If you live in KL or have been here for a while, where do you usually bring your friends when they visit from overseas? I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Terima kasih in advance! 🇲🇾😊

I’m a hard techno DJ and have played in a few clubs in TREC. But the techno scene in KL is abit dead as I see it’s the same faces in the clubs in trec . Is there anywhere I can make my presence more known in Kl for the techno scene

I'll be in KL for 10 days. I'm wondering what you would recommend in terms of beauty treatments (ie lymphatic draining, head spas, etc....)
I'm coming from the US, so I'm hoping to make the most out of this trip
