Hi! I'll be in Guangzhou for 2 weeks in November for a Mandarin Course. Usually, at home I play indoor football and padel, are there any groups that play either of these that I can join?
I'm not even a good player, I just like to play them

Iām a local from Guangzhou and live very close to Shipai Village (ē³ēę).
Shipai is sometimes described online as one of Guangzhouās ā or even Chinaās ā most famous āslums.ā Itās actually a huge and extremely dense urban village right in the center of Tianhe.
The contrast is pretty wild: narrow alleys, āhandshake buildings,ā tiny apartments, street food and small shops, while just outside the village you have modern office towers, malls and some of Guangzhouās most expensive neighborhoods.
Itās definitely not a typical tourist attraction, but I think itās one of the most interesting places to see another side of Guangzhou.
If anyone is curious about Shipai Village, urban villages, what daily life there is actually like, or how to visit respectfully, feel free to ask me in the comments. Iām happy to answer questions as a local.

Iām going on a business meeting and have one night only in Guanzhou
Thinking of going to Woobar, Ritz bar, or a place I saw called Omma
I would like to socialize a bit into the night as I will be jet lagged. Charismatic young male for context so donāt mind chilling and making friends usually but preferably no ratchetness.
My questions;
Should I stay in W or Ritz?
Which is the best option to go out at night?
Thank you!

Hi everyone! I only have about 5 days left here and I'm looking for recommendations for a good, professional massage spa to relax before I leave (Happy end). Does anyone know a nice place and roughly how much the prices are?"

Title: Canton Fair April 2027 ā Best Dates for Steel, Construction Materials, Furniture & Household Products?
Hi everyone!
I'm planning to visit the Canton Fair in Guangzhou in April 2027. My goal is to find reliable Chinese manufacturers and suppliers for construction projects, property development, and residential furnishing in the Philippines.
I'm interested in a wide range of products, including:
1. Steel & Structural Construction Materials
2. Building Finishes & Interior Materials
3. Furniture & Household Products
I'd appreciate advice from experienced Canton Fair visitors, importers, contractors, and property developers.
My questions are:
My priority is finding reliable manufacturers, competitive wholesale prices, and suppliers capable of exporting to the Philippines. I'm also interested in establishing long-term supplier relationships for future projects.
Any advice from people with actual sourcing and importing experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all. I went to Baiyun Leather City about two weeks ago from HK.
When I arrived, every shops were almost empty of products because of police patrols in the mall.
Whatās the current situation ? Are the vendors doing this on regular basis ? Is there a specific day in the week when they empty their shops ?

Living in or visiting Guangzhou? Looking for a relaxing way to unwind after a busy day of exploring the city?
China has some great local wellness experiences, but if you don't speak Chinese, finding the right place and understanding the treatment menu can sometimes be tricky.
That's where VitaCity comes in! š
I can personally help you explore three popular local experiences:
š 1. Traditional Chinese Tuina Massage
A hands-on massage focused on muscle tension and relaxation. A good option if you prefer a more traditional Chinese massage experience.
šæ 2. Chinese-Style Aromatherapy Oil Massage
A relaxing massage using massage oils, ideal if you'd prefer a gentler, more soothing experience.
𦶠3. Chinese Foot Spa
Take a break with a warm foot soak and, depending on the venue and package, a foot massage. A nice way to relax after walking around Guangzhou all day.
š Find suitable places around Beijing Road and other areas of Guangzhou
š¬ Help you understand Chinese treatment menus and communicate with local businesses
š° Check treatment options, prices, and details before you book
š
Help you contact the venue and arrange a booking
No need to figure everything out in Chinese by yourself!
You choose the experience that suits you, and I'll help you navigate the process. You pay the venue directly, and any VitaCity service fee, if applicable, will be explained in advance.
I'm currently building VitaCity and welcoming people who want to explore local wellness experiences in Guangzhou.
What would you try first: Tuina, an aromatherapy oil massage, or a Chinese foot spa? š
Feel free to DM me if you'd like some help finding a suitable place!

Hi guys!
Travelling from Delhi to Auckland via Guangzhou a few days before Christmas. The airline is China Southern and my checked luggage will go straight to Auckland from Delhi. I will be landing in Guangzhou at 5.10 AM and departing for Auckland at 3.10 PM. I have always wanted to visit China, and although I will plan a bigger holiday at some point, I was wondering if I have enough time to make a short excursion into Guanzhou city and get a small taste of China. Is that feasible given the time I am there?
How should I travel to the city, what should I see and is it even worth it?
I am a New Zealand citizen, so should have visa free entry into China (?).
Thanks in advance!

Traveling to Guangzhou in end December! Planning to keep it simple with my outfits. For top, is Tshirt and windbreaker generally enough? Bottom probably something below knee.

Iām trying to figure out whether weāll realistically make our connection and what the fastest way between terminals is.
Arrive with Air Serbia at 18:54
Depart with Cambodia Airways at 21:40
Connection time: 2 hours and 46 minutes
Self transfer, no checked luggage.
Cambodia Airways has confirmed that online check-in isnāt available for my booking, so I must check in at their airport counter. I have to get through immigration at terminal 2, go to terminal 3 to reach the desk for Cambodia airways and then go through security. Can I make it?š«šš¼

Im planning a trip next year. Will be in GZ 4 days. This will be my first time visiting and not staying at the family house.
Our plan so far is to visit shamian island, one link and women's clothes shopping(one day shopping only!), Yuexiu park(or something similar), we already went to baiyun last time. For shopping, I want to go to small local stores/brands, not international brands. Possible over to the wedding street for a qipao or maybe a hanfu.
Is this location convenient? My family home is near Haizhu square and this hotel looks like a quick didi over there.
Im looking at this hotel because im planning to get a credit card and use the points.
The other option is to get the marriot card and stay in tianhe. But I think this hotel is closer to more of the things we plan on doing.

Hi everyone! I work in custom clothing and sportswear in China, and Iām hoping to attend Phase 3 of the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, October 31āNovember 4.
Is anyone attending who could use a Chinese-speaking assistant? Iād be happy to help with supplier communication, taking notes, and discussing clothing products and customization. It would also be nice to meet people in the industry.
I would need an overseas buyer to apply for an accompanying assistant badge for me through the official Canton Fair system. Iāll cover my own badge fee and treat you to lunch as a thank-you.
The application needs to be submitted at least two calendar days before the planned visit, so Iām posting ahead of time.
If this sounds useful, feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks!
