I had the decision to build a gaming table with a TV integrated or a projector setup. For fear of my kids and some throw over water cubs the decision was clear. I build a projector setup. So I bought a cutting board, a few chains a mirror and a little bit blender and the good old A1 mini. So for me the setup was like ~ 15€. I already owned the projector so no cost here.
Why not buy the right thing for the ceiling? Because I wanted to do it my way 😅

I run a homebrew campaign for my housemates, and I gifted them with a rundown abandoned skyship to get around. Truthfully I just needed a project to do, and creating a scale model that was 'somewhat' practical seemed like a fun idea. I also just had the image of this skyship stuck in my mind.
The first step was concepting out the design in PS. Took a good few weeks in-between work. Next was 3D modelling it in Blender. This was the real meat and potatoes, and took about a month. Then resin 3D printing it. About a week of 12hr prints. And then sanding, and gluing, and painting (I'm no expert at painting so don't come at me, it's like the 3rd thing I've painted).
All up it took maybe 4 months start to finish, and I managed to keep it a secret from my players until I revealed it in session (they knew I was doing something, just not this).
I figured I'd also explain some design decisions, given there are things specific to the homebrew setting. And it might be fun to add a little lore to it for you guys.
The Ferrous Drift, was once a luxury air-yacht. Owned by a Lord Halvric of Thelonamar. A small border town of the Paxinan Kingdom, and a place intended to be a beacon of Mystech development.
Unfortunately, hope would be cut short, when a magic consuming plague swept through the town, rapidly killing the residents. Including Lord Halvric. The only surviving member of the town was a single porcelain automaton named Claymore. The personal guard of Lord Halvric, gifted to him by the Paxinan King. This automaton sealed the entrance to the Ferrous Drift's dock tower, following it's last directive. Let no one escape, lest the plague spread.
Now our adventurers rock into town (a Kobold Fighter, a Human Mystech Engineer, and a Noble 'Human' Ranger. Discovering the fate of this town, they eventually find this automaton 'Claymore' blocking the way to the skyship. And instead of fighting him (what I planned for), they decided to try help him be free of his programming (oh shit I see where this is going, sick ideas forming). They eventually find a way to make Claymore break free from his own programming, the first time this has ever happened to an automaton. In doing to Claymore gains free will, becomes the settings first Warforged, and joins the party as an NPC.
The party then board the rusty malfunctioning Ferrous Drift, and hobble to the capitol of the Kingdom, Nathil.
While in Nathil they earn a ton of gold, and fix/upgrade their skyship with the following:
- New Mystech Engine. Now they don't have to let it cool every few hours.
- New Sails and Sail Gyros. Giving the ship a boost to Dex.
- Manipulator Conduits. A once a day ability that allows the skyship captain to control four large magical hands that follow the ship and essentially behave as a Bigby's Hand (these are the silver 'knuckles' on the model. ten hand knuckles for 4 hands).
- 3 'Impulse Windows'. Magical veils that boost the distance of ranged weapon attacks made through them.
- And a Thaumacite Rapidcannon. A wood and white porcelain (thaumacite) big gun with a gunner seat for the Kobold. This takes up a sizable portion of the small ship interior space, and the Kobold has to sleep in the gunner seat. (I didn't put this on the model cause 4 months was long enough haha).
And lastly the party renamed the skyship to the "Zero Dawn"
Thanks for listening to my rambling. I hope it inspires you guys or something. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer.

Been thinking of something like this for a few weeks but the chain-like approach hit me as a shower thought few days ago, first made a variant for wargaming but now also for DnD! Perfect for measuring around corners in non grid applications

Ravenloft is such a complex castle - corridors, secret doors, stairways everywhere, and the maps in the book are all on different pages so I found it a bit difficult to follow. I just really wanted to see the the whole thing in 3d - trace all the paths, place all the rooms, and just get a feel for it in general.
So I made this - a miniature model of the castle, just like the replica from X20. It's not 100% accurate from the outside but the best part is inside, since all the rooms and corridors and stairs are modeled as well. It even has some basic furniture! Now you can see how everything comes together without flipping through a bunch of pages.
The model is free if you want to make it yourself: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2510065-1-750-ravenloft-with-interiors
Hope your players find this as cool as mine did!

A few month ago, during one of our DnD games, my party asked if I could design a few dwarven coins for them.
P.S. I’m a 3D artist, so at first I thought, “Sure, I’ll sculpt a couple of coins as a fun little hobby project.”
Well… apparently I failed my Wisdom saving throw.
What started as a few simple dwarven GP designs turned into a full obsession, and now I’ve designed almost 110 double-sided dwarven coins. :))
At this point, I’m not sure if I’m making coins for the game anymore, or slowly building the entire economy of a dwarven kingdom.
For anyone curious, they are 3D printed and painted coins. I printed some on a resin printer and some on FDM.
Our DM is taking a DM break and a player now. So I am suddenly a DM and I absolutely still need to learn to not overdo things 😬. My three sessions so far had: terrain (which I had made before and our DM used), painted minis, physical props like a scroll, and a smoke machine...

Hey everyone!
A while back we posted about Dive Your Mind and a bunch of you said the same thing: “Cool idea, but we need to see these things actually working on the table.” Fair enough. We listened, went back to the workshop, and put together a video of our rapid-creation dungeon stamps in action.
Every DM knows the pain sketching modular rooms, corridors and stone walls by hand eats up way too much prep time (or worse, mid-session time). That’s why we made these self-inking stamps: so you can lay out a tactical battle map in seconds without killing the flow of the game, as promised in the last post from now on we'll be posting in the first impression the models or the 3D printed tools.
In the video we test them on regular white paper so you can see the speed, the clarity, and how consistent the ink is.
Would love for you to check it out and tell us what you think. What other terrain stuff (caves, forests, traps…) should we tackle next?
DYM Tuki.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some dice holders that I recently made. As someone who loves playing tabletop games, I always found myself struggling with keeping my dice organized and within reach.
So I decided to make my own customized dice holders!
I 3D modelled and 3D printed the base models, then added texture, paint and little trinkets like mini "dice" gems, coins and Scrolls.
Not only has making these dice holders help me keep my dice organized, but they have also added a personal touch when I bust them out during a game. It's always satisfying to show up to game night with something that you made yourself.

I had this rough idea of a cool tray/container for my dice in shape of a moon and talked to my brother about it.
Together we also came up with the idea of a detachable arena
Two weeks later he brought me this. Freshly printed. I glued a glitter-felt to it and voila.
I think this is the coolest thing I ever owned and all the credit goes to my fabulous brother of course 🥰😁

This setup allows me to roll dice, have them show over my face on streaming, then get swept away. I made it this way because my hand coming into the shot was horrifying.

Thought a 3d printed mug I had around looked boring in its unpainted plastic state, decided to paint it myself.
Very pleased with the results!

So I've been wanting to start DMing for my friends and would like to do a custom campaign. Currently my DM uses the tv built into the table for maps, pictures, etc. which is cool but I wanted to try using 3D modeled dungeons and what not for my set up. Im always blown away by the dungeon set ups I see on shows like Critical Role that I wanted to try to get some of that magic for our own campaigns.
Thing is I dont really know much about 3D printing, would a small printer like the Bambu Labs A1 mini be enough to print out full dungeons worth (modular style of coarse) or would I be giving myself far more work then necessary?

This idea has been living rent free in my head for MONTHS and I finally got around to executing it. Meet Peaches the Destroyer, Bugbear barbarian, in Labubu form. I got the Labubu body pattern off of Etsy (pattern by ADYKADOLL). I found a Labubu face .stl file on Cults3D and learned how to use the sculpt tools in blender to give Peaches her signature “mean mug” and underbite teeth, and printed it on my husband’s resin printer. Found the hands, feet, posable skeleton and eyes on AliExpress. My hyperfixation is finally satisfied and I can now start making Christmas presents. AHHH I love her so much I’m so proud of how she came out!
2nd picture is artwork of her I made a while back for comparison 🥰

Hey everyone!
First off huge thank you to this community. You keep showing up, sharing ideas, and pushing us forward even though we know the current stamps aren’t the final version yet. That support means a lot.
We’ve been working on a new adjustment rule for the stamps so they’re easier and more precise to use on the table. In the video you can see exactly how it works quick, clean, and designed to keep the game flowing instead of slowing it down.
This is still just one step toward the bigger world we’re building.
Also, we want to address something we’ve seen a few times: some of you feel frustrated thinking we’re using AI to create all the graphic pieces and 3D models. We get it. Yes, we do use AI as a helpful tool (especially with a tight budget for a project this ambitious), but we also have real, talented modelers and artists on the team. We’re very aware that leaning too hard on AI can strip away some of the soul and uniqueness of the world that brings us all together and that’s the last thing we want.
We’re doing our best to keep the craft and the heart in everything we make.
If you’d like, you can also support us on Patreon and download the STLs for the stamps and the adjustment rule (also can take a view at the content that we publish there). Right now they’re available in several sizes, from 6x1 up to 8x8.
Would love to hear what you think.
DYM Tuki.
